Chapter 40: Fluctuations of Thought (Part 1)
Shi Caihong came with her mother.
The man behind them had a motorcycle parked, and it looked like he had brought the two of them here on purpose.
Before they even entered the house, they deliberately called Shi Qingqing's name affectionately: "Qingqing, why didn't you tell mom that there were guests at home?"
"Yeah, I didn't know to ask my sister to help you."
The two of them stood at the edge of the yard, neither moving forward nor backward, just blocking the way. Shi Qingqing found them very annoying.
She quickly exhaled, not letting the negative emotions take over her mind, and placed the snacks she had prepared in Linda's hand. "It's getting late, you still have to go back to the guesthouse, be careful on the road, see you tomorrow."
Linda looked at the two people blocking the door at the edge of the yard, not quite understanding what this meant.
It sounds like they are family, but Shi Qingqing's expression doesn't say that.
"You two are guests from afar, right? My sister is not very sensible, so she must be treating you casually. If you want to eat local flavors, why don't you come to our house and we will cook noodles and salty rice for you."
Shi Caihong was certain that Shi Qingqing would at most eat some eggs and meat, so what was new?
But her husband said that these people were wealthy people in Hong Kong, and they must have spent a lot of money on the meal. If they were invited home for a few meals, wouldn't they be able to raise more money for the club?
When Shi Ma wasn't trying to look serious, she looked like a really nice old lady.
She also happily welcomed them to her home. "I may not have other things, but I still have the skill of cooking. Look at the children at home who are ignorant and upset, and they don't even know how to treat guests properly."
Linda understood something. "You are Ms. Shi Qingqing's sister and mother, relatives?"
Shi Caihong and her daughter were very embarrassed: "Look at the way you ask, is there anyone who would go to a stranger's house to help out?"
Shi Qingqing clenched her fists and raised her foot to step forward to drive the two people away, but she didn't expect Linda to laugh.
"Help us? You heard we were from Hong Kong and wanted to see if you could get some benefits. If you really wanted to help us, why do you wear nice clothes and use motorcycles to get around when she lives in such a shabby place?
Don’t you know that Ms. Shi Qingqing’s bicycle is in tatters? You wanted to help her, but she ended up like this?”
"That's because she found a poor outsider herself." Shi Caihong didn't expect that it was not Shi Qingqing but these outsiders who refuted them first.
Linda was not interested in listening to Shi Caihong continue to speak, so she waved her hand and said, "Okay, for Ms. Shi Qingqing's sake, I will give you some face, and you should save some time and talk less nonsense.
We don't have much in Hong Kong, but we have the most secrets of wealthy families. They are flying everywhere. Compared with those, your words are too shallow and can be seen through at a glance. Save your energy and go home to eat your salty rice. "
Then she said goodbye to Shi Qingqing directly. When passing by Shi Caihong, Linda just pushed her away without caring about being polite or not.
Politeness is only for those who need it.
These two are obviously not needed.
Shi Qingqing opened her mouth slightly, revealing a surprised expression.
In their area, whatever the elders say is authoritative and factual, and whatever the younger ones say is of no use.
If an elder says that you are unfilial, even if that is not the case, the person who hears it will subconsciously think that the elder is right.
This was the first time she had encountered Linda whose words and attitude were so uninhibited, as if she was not at all bound by some rigid Confucian teachings.
Linda's forceful and direct approach made Shi Caihong and the others dare not to stop her. They could only watch Linda and the others get into the car and drive away.
They came to their senses only after they could no longer see the taillights of the car, and saw Shi Qingqing also closing the door.
Shi Caihong immediately blocked the gate: "What are you doing? Are you blind? Can't you see that my mother and I are here!"
"If you two continue to entangle, I won't be able to bear it." Shi Qingqing didn't compete with the two men in strength to push the door, but just said something that seemed ridiculous.
Sure enough, as soon as she finished speaking, Shi Caihong and her mother both laughed out of anger. Shi Caihong responded even more arrogantly: "Shi Qingqing, if you can't bear it, what are you going to do? Can you hit me and mom?"
Shi Qingqing glanced at Shi Caihong coldly, and the violent emotions that surged in her heart made her blurt out words that had been buried in her heart for more than ten years.
"Shi Caihong, is the floor of the land temple on the middle school road comfortable?"
Shi Caihong didn't react at first to what Shi Qingqing meant by this. But when her memory of being sixteen years old came back to her, she felt like she was going to break apart.
She felt cold all over, and she swallowed her saliva tremblingly, and subconsciously looked back at Wu Chenggong.
"Shi Qingqing, I tell you to shut up!" Shi Caihong still threatened people out of habit.
Shi Qingqing also lost her patience: "Mom, do you want me to tell my brother-in-law about what happened when she was sixteen?"
Shi Ma's face turned pale and she immediately stopped pushing the door.
Wu Chenggong came over curiously and said, "Huh? Why did you two get turned away? Didn't you say you would ask those people from Gangcheng about their backgrounds? Otherwise, Shi Qingqing would have wasted all the money."
Shi Caihong's lips turned pale.
But when she saw that Shi Qingqing had already closed the gate and the footsteps had faded away, she gradually grew bolder and said, "Okay, there's still time to ask about this next time. Let's go back first.
It's so annoying that you didn't explain clearly that those people had a good relationship with Shi Qingqing, and we got scolded. "
Wu Chenggong was surprised. Was this his fault?
"Didn't you ask me to keep an eye on her and tell you as soon as I got back? How can you still blame me?"
Shi's mother came out to smooth things over and persuaded the two to get on the motorcycle. She herself also sat on the back seat of the motorcycle next to her eldest daughter.
When she came, she was very excited, thinking that she could meet wealthy people in Hong Kong and make some money to invest in the club.
She remembered that a few years ago there was a child who was favored by merchants in Hong Kong City and was adopted as their godson. He received several thousand yuan in red envelopes every year and was also given watches and leather shoes when he came here to do business.
If I could meet a rich person and let them take a look at the two children, Rainbow, and if they like them, the children would gain so much from childhood to adulthood.
But now, Shi Qingqing seemed to have a bad temper and even wanted to talk about that kind of thing.
If she told this to others, the eldest daughter and her husband would definitely fall out. Who would be willing to take care of her in her old age?
The sound of the motorcycle disappeared, and Shi Qingqing in the yard also walked to a pair of small shoes in the house.
These are the cashmere shoes she started buying half a month ago. They have now been completed. They are delicately crafted and have a soft texture.
These were originally what she had prepared for her little niece before she had the dream. Even though she later witnessed the shameless face of this sister in her dreams, she still planned to finish the job and send the shoes off.
But at this moment, several images appeared in Shi Qingqing's mind. There was Shi Caihong coming to steal the meat, there was Shi Caihong spreading rumors about her in the vegetable market, there was Shi Caihong trying to intercept her opportunity and deliberately not let her have a chance to turn things around.
One picture after another finally formed the greedy face that Shi Caihong had just shown.
Shi Qingqing closed her eyes, reached out with the scissors, and aimed at the shoes.
