154: A letter from my aunt (1/2)

After more than ten hours, we finally arrived at the Northwest Station.

After getting off the bus, a private car came to pick me up, and it took another three or four hours to get there.

When we arrived at the military family compound, it was just getting dark.

They started carrying large and small bags into the house. Hearing the noise outside, the nanny, Su Mei, quickly went to open the door.

"Comrade Xiaoqiao, sir, you're both back."

"Just after you left, a letter arrived at the house. I didn't open it; I just left it in your bedroom."

Wen Qiao was helped off the bus by Shen Jichuan.

I casually asked, "Whose letter is it?"

Su Mei said, "I think her name is Zhao Lihua."

The letter will have her name on it; Su Mei is a college student and can read.

Zhao Lihua?

The name Wen Qiao sounds familiar, but I don't know where I've heard it before.

Before she could ask, Shen Jichuan whispered something.

"It should be my aunt. I told you before, my mother had a younger sister, but that sister was given away for adoption."

Zhao Lihua is the younger sister of Zhao Shuhua, Shen Jichuan's biological mother.

After Zhao's parents passed away, Zhao Shuhua took care of her younger sister.

But the world was too chaotic at that time, and she couldn't take care of her younger sister, so she found a well-off family and gave her sister away for adoption.

Zhao Shuhua, on the other hand, went to the battlefield and became a military doctor.

While accompanying the injured Mr. Shen back to the city for recuperation, she found her younger sister through family connections.

After the two sisters got in touch, they stayed in touch and had a very good relationship!

Many years later, Shen Jichuan reconnected with his aunt by chance.

Later, he learned that the man his aunt married was a capitalist.

Shen Jichuan helped out a few times.

Zhao Lihua had always opposed her sister marrying Shen Jichuan's father.

But the older sister was deeply in love and couldn't extricate herself, saying that their friendship was based on revolutionary camaraderie.

Not long after the marriage, her so-called brother-in-law suddenly came from the countryside with a legal wife.

She beat and verbally abused her sister, insisting that her sister become her concubine...

What that old woman from the countryside said was really awful.

But her sister was pregnant at the time, and Zhao Lihua knew she couldn't stop it.

She wished her sister happiness and then left Beicheng.

She keeps in touch with her sister every year.

Suddenly, for a year, she didn't receive any letters from her sister, and the letters she wrote to her sister were returned without being received.

She made a special trip to the north of the city to look for her sister, only to learn that she had died.

Zhao Lihua then developed a deep hatred for the Shen family.

But she was very kind to Shen Jichuan.

When Shen Jichuan was a child, she would occasionally travel across the city to bring him food and drinks.

After Shen Jichuan went to fight in the war, she didn't get in touch with him much.

Later, Shen Jichuan took the initiative to contact her.

It was after that incident that Zhao Lihua received Shen Jichuan's help, and her family was able to live a peaceful life.

However, Zhao Lihua could never forgive the Shen family.

Knowing that Shen Jichuan had a good relationship with the Shen family's old house after he came of age, she began to deliberately stay away from Shen Jichuan.

This time, it was Shen Jichuan who took the initiative to write a letter to his aunt, asking her to help take care of Wen Qiao.

After waiting for so long, Shen Jichuan thought that since his aunt hadn't replied to any messages, she probably wouldn't come.

Unexpectedly, a letter arrived at this time.

Wen Qiao and Shen Jichuan didn't need to worry about the luggage in the car at all.

After Su Mei learned that Lü Yazhi was Wen Qiao's mother, she treated her with respect.

After returning to his room, Shen Jichuan opened the letter and glanced at it briefly.

"My aunt is coming."
