169: Su Mei's daughter has regained consciousness (1/2)

Su Mei, who had returned to her room first, looked at her daughter inside. Her mother was too excited and had frightened her daughter. She kept her tension and worry to herself.

She smiled faintly as she looked at her daughter.

"Coco, it's Mommy. You're all better now, right?"

The little girl stayed at the Shen family's house for a while, and was kept indoors all day and rarely went out, which made her much paler.

Wen Qiao was never a stingy person, and Su Mei was really good to her. She never skimped on food for Su Mei, and she was never harsh on Su Mei's daughter, Keke.

The little girl had grown fair-skinned and plump from being well-fed, and her hair, which Su Mei had initially cut short, had grown out a bit.

Upon seeing that it was her mother, the little girl immediately rushed towards Su Mei.

He hugged her and cried, "Mommy, sob, I miss you so much, Mommy, I really miss you. I thought you didn't want me anymore..."

Su Mei also cried.

Her daughter has finally returned to normal.

Su Mei didn't even know how her daughter had strangely returned to normal. She was in a state of ecstasy, holding her daughter tightly and refusing to let go.

Xia Keke is actually not young.

Before she was sent down to the west, she witnessed her parents being forced to separate and be sent to different places.

She even witnessed her father being viciously taken away by someone.

It left a shadow on her young mind at the time.

This caused her to close herself off out of fear.

They refuse to accept or communicate with anything from the outside world.

They even refused to react in any way.

Su Mei was an intellectual; she was not superstitious and always believed in science.

Therefore, when she discovered that her daughter was trapped in her own self-consciousness and refused to communicate with others, she sought out a psychologist.

We spent a lot of money to take our daughter to the doctor and learn about her illness.

But the therapist simply told her to love her daughter well and to guide her.

Su Mei accomplished all of these.

The daughter still hadn't woken up from her conscious state.

Su Mei had mentally prepared herself for the possibility that her daughter might not wake up, and gradually her scientific beliefs turned into superstition.

She even fantasized that the old-fashioned methods of the countryside—going to the ancestral altar—might just bring her daughter's soul back.

Just when she was at her lowest point, her daughter suddenly started to get better.

Su Mei hugged her daughter and whispered, "You're finally awake. Mom missed you so much and was so worried about you."

Xia Keke's eyes held a hint of confusion.

He said, "I don't know either. I was just sleeping, sleeping all the time. Suddenly, a little girl called out to me, 'You should go home. Your mother is very worried about you.'"

"Mom, are you having another baby sister for me?"

Xia Keke's words left Su Mei stunned.

“What little sister? Your father hasn’t come back yet, Coco. Have you been sleeping for too long and your memory is all messed up?”

Su Mei had actually been pregnant before, which she discovered when she separated from her husband. However, at that time, her husband was taken away for questioning.

She tried everything to save the baby, but she lost the baby herself.

It wasn't until she was taken to the hospital unconscious and lost her baby that they learned she had been pregnant before.

But the child was too young to be clearly identified by gender.

An experienced doctor at the time said, "It looks like a boy."
