181: Wen Qiao knows about Xiao Sanbao's illness (1/2)

Wen Qiao didn't expect Su Mei, in this state, to cook for them.

She went to the kitchen to prepare dinner, while Shen Jichuan scooped up the baby's diapers from the basin in the yard and hung them on the line to dry.

Just as I finished preparing, I saw my mother-in-law come back, her basket filled with vegetables and a piece of meat.

Upon seeing Shen Jichuan, Lü Yazhi hurriedly said, "I'm a little late coming back today."

"You must all be hungry. I'll go prepare dinner now."

Shen Jichuan said it was nothing.

"Xiao Qiao is in the kitchen; she said she's here to prepare dinner."

Lu Yazhi hurriedly turned around and went to the kitchen. Not long after, Wen Qiao's scolding of her mother came from inside the kitchen.

"You said you went out to buy groceries, and you went out for lunch. You're only just getting back now. Ji Chuan has already left work, and you're only now returning."

"Mom, if you feel tired, just lie down at home, it's fine."

Lu Yazhi thought about telling her daughter, but she was afraid her daughter wouldn't agree, so she kept it a secret for a while.

She muttered softly, "I know, I'll come back earlier next time."

"I bought a little extra groceries. If I come back late next time, you can cook something for me."

Listening to this, Wen Qiao felt that her mother was definitely hiding something from her, so she asked, "Mom, is there something you're hiding from me?"

Lü Yazhi: "How could I? You child, what could I possibly hide from you?"

"Where's Sister Su? I haven't seen her come out to help with the work."

The buckwheat porridge was simmering in the pot, and I started picking vegetables.

"Sister Su isn't planning to continue working here; she's going to find her man. Never mind, I won't say anymore."

Lu Yazhi immediately asked worriedly, "If she quits, who will take care of the children at home? How can you manage three children?"

"Just find another nanny."

Wen Qiao originally thought that with her and her mother there, the two of them could definitely manage to take care of three children.

Seeing that her mother didn't want to stay with the child all the time, Wen Qiao thought it would be better to hire another nanny.

She said her mother came here to help her take care of the children, but she can't rely on her mother completely.

Shen Jichuan had mentioned this to Wen Qiao before.

They said they brought Wenqiao's mother over to see the child, but they couldn't let Wenqiao's mother come to take care of the child all the time.

In addition, Wen Qiao also plans to go back to work.

Therefore, I must marry this nanny no matter what.

During dinner, Wen Qiao called Su Mei out.

Su Mei didn't say anything. She served herself two bowls of rice, some vegetables, and two mixed flour buns, then took them back to her room to eat.

Wen Qiao didn't seem to mind.

Soon after dinner, Wen Qiao went to wash up, while Shen Jichuan played with the children.

The two sons could react when they teased them, but the little one still didn't react at all. It would be a lie to say that Shen Jichuan wasn't worried.

He could only pray in his heart that the child could grow up a little bigger.

Perhaps in a few years, with the improvement of medical standards in China, Xiao Sanbao's illness will be cured.

He reached out and hugged his youngest daughter. The little one, who hadn't opened her eyes yet, finally opened them halfway.

She glanced at him, seemingly quite relieved.

After taking a shower, Wen Qiao went to call Shen Jichuan.

Just then, she remembered that she didn't have enough diapers for the baby, so she went to get some that had been dried in the sun.

As I passed by Su Mei's room, I overheard a conversation between Su Mei and her daughter.
