190: Hit Xu Weimin again (1/2)

The couple looked at each other and laughed.

Wen Qiao looked at him and asked, "Why did you suddenly come back? It's not even time to get off work yet. Actually, Mom and I can take care of things at home."

“My mom used to go out to buy groceries for a long time a few days ago, right? She went to the bus station in the county town to sell things.”

Wen Qiao explained it to Shen Jichuan.

They can take care of things at home; there's no need for Shen Jichuan to use his work time to come home and take care of the children.

By the way, I told Shen Jichuan about how Lü Yazhi said she was going out to buy groceries, but actually she was going to sell things to make money.

Upon hearing this, Shen Jichuan said, "Mom earns money for the sake of the youngest child, so don't blame her."

Wen Qiao hummed in agreement.

Shen Jichuan then told her that he had come back to retrieve some documents.

I happened to see Xu Weimin loitering around in front of his house.

No wonder his eyelids kept twitching today; it turns out Xu Weimin came again.

Fortunately, he went home and gave Xu Weimin a good beating.

After this incident, Xu Weimin no longer had the courage to harass Wen Qiao.

Wen Qiao asked with concern.

"You hit Xu Weimin so hard just now, I'm worried Wang Ronghua will cause trouble later. You're supposed to be a leader, is it okay to hit people like that?"

Shen Jichuan raised an eyebrow and said coldly:

“I’m only hitting him now. If I find out he’s coming back, I can send him to a military court. He can’t be a teacher anymore, I’ll send him to jail.”

Wen Qiao smiled and patted his arm lightly.

"Okay, I got it. You're very good."

Knowing that Shen Jichuan had come back to retrieve some documents, Wen Qiao didn't bother him and waste his time.

Shen Jichuan, however, asked her about the book Xu Weimin had lent her...

Before Shen Jichuan could finish his question, Wen Qiao immediately said:

“I didn’t borrow the book from Xu Weimin. It was Sister Li who said that her son-in-law is a teacher and has all kinds of books. Knowing that I wanted to read a book, she asked around for me.”

"If I had known that Xu Weimin was this kind of person, I wouldn't have looked at it or borrowed it from him."

"I have already returned the book."

"I'm going to the hospital for a postpartum checkup anyway, so I'll just stop by Xinhua Bookstore and buy a few books on the way."

Shen Jichuan said, "Don't go to the county, go directly to the provincial hospital. I'll take leave and go with you."

"No need. Sister-in-law Li told me that your division headquarters is very busy lately. I'm going to the county hospital for a check-up, buy a few books, and come right back. It's easy to get a ride there. Going to the provincial hospital would take too long, and I'm worried that the baby will go hungry."

Shen Jichuan wasn't worried about Wen Qiao's car problem; his car could be used by Wen Qiao for a whole day.

The Northwest is not as strict as the Beicheng Military Region.

As long as no one interferes, there shouldn't be any major problems with using a private car.

The northern part of the city is not doing well.

In the northern part of the city, the higher up the leadership positions are, the fewer these positions there are; it's fair to say that there's only one opening for every one person.

They all desperately wanted to find fault with each other, force the other out, and then promote their own people.

Wen Qiao was still cautious and did not use Shen Jichuan's car alone.

She refused.

Shen Jichuan did have something to do and didn't talk much with Wen Qiao at home.

He did mention that two people would be coming to the house tomorrow; they were nannies he had found, and he wanted Wen Qiao to check them out.

Wen Qiao responded with a "Okay!"

It was late afternoon when I got off work, but Shen Jichuan still hadn't returned.

However, after Wang Gang returned, he beat Xu Weimin up again.

Lü Yazhi was strolling around the yard with her second grandson in her arms.

Hearing some commotion at the Wang family's house, she went out to take a look out of curiosity.

Only then did they learn that Political Commissar Wang had beaten his son-in-law.

Lu Yazhi came back and talked to Wen Qiao.

"Commissar Wang hit his son-in-law, isn't he worried that his daughter will suffer in the future?"

"I acted impulsively. If my son-in-law really is a vengeful person, how will our two families maintain relations in the future?"

Wen Qiao didn't tell her mother about Xu Weimin harassing her, so Lü Yazhi naturally didn't know.

Her impression of Xu Weimin was still that he was a chatterbox who liked to flatter and coax people.

Wen Qiao didn't say much, just said something in a low voice.

"Xu Weimin looks like a womanizer. He's not worthy of being Political Commissar Wang's son-in-law at all."

However, Wang Ronghua wasn't a good person either.

Would a good girl like Xu Weimin?

Besides attending a teachers' college, what else did Xu Weimin do?

He was able to become a teacher at the county's No. 1 Middle School thanks to Political Commissar Wang's connections and arrangements.

Otherwise, Xu Weimin would still be just an ordinary teacher teaching in a rural town.
