219: It's hard to explain (1/2)

Wen Qiao didn't know how to explain it either.

How could she tell a child that her husband had suddenly become very cold towards her and that she was very sad and upset?

To others, it might be a very small matter.

But in the eyes of the person involved, it's a huge deal.

I know that Huo Yan is going to have another surgery soon.

His surgery was originally scheduled for the second month after he arrived abroad.

After checking him over, they said he had severe anemia and they didn't dare to do it for him.

It's been delayed for almost three months before it's finally been arranged.

Huo Dongqing will come next Monday to accompany Huo Yan during her surgery.

Wen Qiao knew about this from Aunt Hu.

Aunt Hu was afraid that Wen Qiao would cause them trouble, so she often reminded Wen Qiao that Huo Yan's health was not good, and that Huo Yan was the only precious grandson in the Huo family, so no one should tire him out.

Wen Qiao didn't like Aunt Hu, but that was understandable, since taking care of Huo Yan was her main job.

Wen Qiao forced a smile and said, "Yes, I'm a little homesick. Given Xiao Sanbao's condition, I'll have to stay here for a long time."

Huo Yan said, "Then you can go home and take a look."

“My uncle won’t stay long after he comes. He’ll go back after my surgery. It’s perfect that you go back with him and visit your family.”

Wen Qiao shook her head, "It's too much trouble to go back and forth. The little ones are too small to handle."

When they first arrived abroad, the baby had been vomiting and having diarrhea for two weeks straight, which terrified Wen Qiao.

She dared not rest at all, taking care of the child day and night.

Finally, when her baby was almost fully recovered, she collapsed from exhaustion.

It was Huo Yan who heard Xiao Sanbao crying and went to knock on the door, only to find Wen Qiao unconscious on the bed.

After that incident, if Huo Yan didn't see Wen Qiao for a long time, he would knock on her door. He would usually leave once he heard Wen Qiao's voice.

Wen Qiao is truly grateful to Huo Yan.

How could he be so kind and sensible?

Unfortunately, he was also in poor health.

Huo Yan didn't ask any further questions after hearing Wen Qiao's words, but simply nodded.

"Sister, if things don't go well after this surgery, my life will be ruined. I actually heard what the doctor and my uncle said. They said I won't be able to have children in the future."

Wen Qiao let out a soft "ah".

Wasn't Huo Yan in poor health? How did she get involved in having children?

Huo Yan, however, spoke to Wen Qiao in a very mature manner.

She then said, "I didn't understand at first, but I secretly looked it up in a book. It seems I have health problems and can't have children."

Wen Qiao didn't understand why Huo Yan would say such things to her.

She thought that Huo Yan must want some comfort.

Aunt Hu was good to Huo Yan, but only in terms of basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter. She rarely offered emotional support or comfort.

Every time I spoke to Huo Yan, it was like giving instructions, without any emotional comfort.

Wen Qiao said softly, "It will be alright. You're still so young. You'll grow out of it."

She also had two sons, but she didn't know how the boys were developing.

A boy needs the role of his father to grow up.

Huo Yan's father died early, which also had an impact on his gender identity.

Huo Yan hummed in agreement and nodded.

"Sister, I'm not that sad. If I can't have children, it's okay."

Huo Yan just wanted to talk to Wen Qiao about his illness, just like two patients sitting together would always exchange information about their conditions.
