267: Uncle Shen is worried about his wife (2/2)

Lu Yazhi said, "My children are your mothers."

Seeing Wen Qiao and Shen Jichuan return, Lü Yazhi hurriedly greeted them, saying that dinner was ready...

The three children immediately sat in their designated spots, and the nanny provided them with baby tableware.

Wen Qiao and Shen Jichuan went to wash their hands.

During the meal, Lü Yazhi asked Wen Qiao, "How did the interview go? Is the company leader easy to get along with?"

Wen Qiao just smiled and said, "I listened to you and served tea and water, and cleaned the house. I did a very good job."

Lü Yazhi chuckled.

For several days in a row, Wen Qiao went to work at the same time every day, leaving the household affairs to Ms. Lü Yazhi.

At the Shen family's place, Wen Qiao and Shen Jichuan always have delicious and satisfying meals to eat, no matter when they get off work.

The Wu family, on the other hand, appeared utterly miserable and wretched.

When Li Sumei returned from her business trip, she found that Lü Yazhi had not yet returned. Before she could even say that she wanted to eat Aunt Lü's cooking, her son Xiaowei said that he missed his grandma.

Li Sumei casually complained, "Aunt Lü has been at her daughter's house for several days now, and she hasn't said she'd come back."

"Cough cough."

Wu Yongliang coughed from the side of the coffee table. "I was just about to ask you that. I've only been busy for a few days. When I got back, your Aunt Lü wasn't home. I called to ask, and she said that her daughter would stay a few more days."

Did you upset her?

This was the only reason Wu Yongliang could think of.

In this family, only the son and daughter-in-law remain. The nanny is an honest woman who plans to work for another two years before returning to her hometown. Before she passed away, the old lady of the Wu family said that she must give the nanny a sum of money for her retirement.

The nanny was just working for the Wu family to earn her retirement money, and she would never do anything offensive to the Wu family when she was about to leave.

That leaves only his daughter-in-law, Li Sumei, who has been keeping an eye on his monthly salary.

Li Sumei hurriedly said, "Dad, you can't misunderstand. Aunt Lü and I have a very good relationship. Aunt Lü is very good to me. Jiandong said that Aunt Lü truly treats me as her daughter-in-law."

“I am grateful to Aunt Lü for taking care of Xiao Wei. How could I possibly dislike Aunt Lü?”

"I was worried that you and Aunt Lü had a fight, which is why Aunt Lü went back to her daughter's place."

Wu Yongliang then said, "I'll go over there now. You can eat dinner yourselves."

Seeing his grandfather about to leave, Wu Suowei immediately chased after him.

"Grandpa, are you going to see Grandma? I want to go too, I want to eat Grandma's cooking."

Wu Yongliang glanced at his grandson and said with a smile, "You really are a glutton."

The grandfather and grandson then left.

Just as they were leaving, they ran into Wu Jiandong, who was coming home late from get off work, at the door.

Wu Jiandong parked his bicycle and looked at his father and son who were about to leave.

He asked, "Dad, where are you taking Xiaowei?"

Wu Suowei sat in his grandfather's car and peered out the window at Wu Jiandong.

"Dad, I want to go with Grandpa to find Grandma."

Without saying a word, Wu Yongliang told the driver to go directly to the Shen family's house.

Wu Jiandong turned around and went back to the living room, where he saw his wife sitting on the sofa, looking pale and unhappy.

"You just got back and you're already looking grumpy? Did your boss give you a hard time?"

Li Sumei said, "The leaders at work are all very nice, but your father actually asked if we had upset Aunt Lü. He said she went back to find her daughter."

"I'm still feeling aggrieved. Aunt Lü is really something. She could have just gone to her daughter's house for two days and come back, but she's staying here all the time. Does the Wu family not belong to her anymore?"

Wu Jiandong said, "Be more respectful and polite to Aunt Lü in the future. Especially when it comes to money, talk less about it. Don't always talk about the Wu family's money; Aunt Lü will definitely be unhappy if she hears that."
