After returning to the country, Wen Qiao and He Muyi secretly separated and lived separately. Wen Qiao took Wen Zhongjin to live in the villa that Wen Zhengnian left for Wen Zhongjin.
Although He Muye appeared to be living with them, they were actually living separately. He Muye stayed in a guest room on the first floor.
Now, Old He has nothing to stop them from doing anything, and He Muyi has taken control of the He family, so Wen Qiao has nothing to fear anymore.
All she wants now is to get a divorce from He Muyi.
He Muye looked at Wen Qiao sitting on the sofa, and on the table in front of her was a stack of papers she had signed.
The wording of the divorce agreement was quite obvious.
He Muye stood to one side with his hands in his pockets, a cynical smile in his eyes.
"Did I sign the divorce papers with you, and then you turned around and took the child back to China? Wen Qiao, you're so heartless. I've been so good to you and Xiao Jin, and you don't even feel sorry for me."
"Even if we're not really husband and wife, we've been together for so long. I'm two years older than you, so it's okay for you to call me 'brother,' right?"
Wen Qiao glanced at He Muye with a faint look in her eyes.
"Stop talking nonsense. I've already helped you enough. The old man had a stroke and won't stop you anymore. You can divorce me, go back to China and be free. Go back and make sure to appease your sister. I'm telling you, Bai Yin has a suitor, and he's a retired soldier."
"If you waste your time here with me, she'll be taken away by someone else, and then you'll be crying."
Upon hearing this, He Muyi immediately stopped smiling.
Why didn't you say so sooner?
He quickly walked to the seat next to Wen Qiao, found a place to sit down, took out his pen, and quickly signed the divorce agreement.
Just then, Wen Zhongjin, a child from the second floor, came down.
He looked at his mommy and daddy sitting together.
He asked, "What are you doing?"
Wen Qiao said directly, "Sign the divorce agreement. Later, Mom will take you back to China to meet your father and your older brother and sister."
Wen Chongjin nodded and hummed in agreement, "Does Little Daddy still want it?"
"I think he's quite good to me."
Calling He Muye "Little Daddy" wasn't something Wen Qiao taught him.
Once, she and He Muye were chatting in the courtyard. They were naturally speaking in Chinese, not daring to use English, for fear that others would find out what they were talking about.
Unexpectedly, Wen Zhongjin overheard it.
He could actually understand Chinese, but he kept it a secret from Wen Qiao and He Muye.
He Muye asked him again, why didn't he say that he could understand Chinese?
Wen Zhongjin said in broken Chinese, "You didn't ask either."
On that occasion, Wen Chongjin overheard Wen Qiao and He Muyi discussing their divorce and their biological father, and he remembered it.
Then they started calling He Muye "Little Daddy".
He Muyi was once very dissatisfied with this title.
He said, "Why don't you just let Wen Zhongjin call him 'Daddy' and call him 'father' when he goes back to China?"
But Wen Zhongjin is a very principled kid, and he insists on calling me "Little Daddy".
Wen Qiao chuckled and waved to her son, "If you like him, and if your little daddy is willing too, of course you can have him. But Mommy can only have one husband, and that is your biological father."
"Xiao Jin, Mom wants to take you back to China. Would you like to?"
The child had always seemed unusually mature since he was little. Wen Qiao suspected that it was because she was busy with work all day and neglected to take care of the child that the child had become aloof. She had always felt guilty about the child.
