413: Hatred Arises (2/2)

This is also where Wen Qiao is troubled.

Although she also thought Wu Suowei was a good child and called her aunt, she was more worried about her own mother.

The parents of Wu Jiandong and Li Sumei should bear the greatest responsibility for their child.

But now Li Sumei is in another city, and Wu Jiandong still has to work. His wife's betrayal and his father's death have been huge blows to him. He feels only anger and irritability when facing Wu Suwei, but he doesn't know how to discipline him.

Shen Jichuan advised Wen Qiao not to think about these things for now, and to wait until everyone's grief had subsided before discussing her mother-in-law's return.

However, Wen Qiao underestimated how much her mother cared about Xiao Wei.

A few days later, Wen Qiao suddenly received a call from the Public Security Bureau in the middle of the night. Without hesitation, she immediately dressed and rushed out, talking to Shen Jichuan as they left:

“My mother is at the police station now, and I have to go there because she was injured.”

Upon hearing this, Shen Jichuan could no longer sit still and immediately went downstairs to get his car, but Wen Qiao went straight to the police station.

When she arrived, Wen Qiao saw blood on her mother's forehead and on her hands that were covering her forehead. She also saw Wu Suowei squatting next to her, along with two other teenagers who were a little older than Wu Suowei, around sixteen or seventeen years old.

Wen Qiao stepped forward and pulled Wu Suowei up from the ground.

With sharp eyes and a serious tone, he said, "Wu Suowei, tell me clearly, what exactly happened? Why was your grandmother injured?"

Wu Suowei, his face contorted with rage, abruptly shoved Wen Qiao away.

“She’s not my grandma, she has no right to tell me what to do.”

Shen Jichuan quickly found something to wipe the blood from his mother-in-law's forehead. Lü Yazhi said it was nothing, that the police had taken care of it, but there was too much bleeding and she still needed to go to the hospital. She didn't have time right now; she had finally caught Wu Suowei and was thinking of taking him home.

While worried about his mother-in-law, Shen Jichuan's temper flared up when he saw his wife being pushed away by Wu Suowei.

Just as she was about to teach Wu Suowei a lesson, Wen Qiao reached out and pushed him.

Turning her gaze, she continued to stare at Wu Suowei and said coldly, "Wu Suowei, she's not your biological grandmother, but can't she do better than your biological grandmother? When your grandfather was alive, she was his favorite. How can you talk about her like this? How can you face your grandfather?"

“When she came to your house, your father didn’t care about you and your mother didn’t ask about you. You couldn’t even eat on time every day. Who cooked for you? Who took care of you every day, just to make sure you weren’t bored?”

“You’ve been running around these past few days, and she’s been so worried about you that she can’t sleep at night and has lost almost ten pounds.”

"Do you really think she's only staying because she can't bear to leave your Wu family? I've asked her to come with me several times. Your father isn't her biological son, and you're not her biological grandson, so why would she still stay in your house and watch over you?"

Wu Suowei sobbed and cried, unable to speak.

"That's because of you. She said that your favorite grandfather is gone, and you have resentment towards your parents. If she leaves, it's one thing for the Wu family to be ruined, but what about you? You're such a good child, so sensible and obedient, and you do well in your studies. If you're ruined, your grandfather will be heartbroken."

"She also made a promise at your grandfather's coffin that she would take good care of you."

"Wu Suowei, your name was given to you by your grandfather in the hope that you would be fearless in the future. But what about you now? Do you really treat your life as a game and don't care about anything?"

Ignoring everyone else, Wen Qiao looked at him and said:

"If you still want to have this grandmother and don't want to disappoint your grandfather, then come with us. Anything that happened before that will be forgiven."

“If you don’t want to come with us, I’ll take my mother away today, and from now on, I’ll make sure she never takes care of you again.”

"No!" Wu Suowei immediately looked at Lü Yazhi, crying with snot and tears streaming down his face. "Grandma, I'm sorry, I was wrong. I don't hate you, I hate my mom, I hate my dad. Why blame my grandpa for their misfortunes?"

“They are all bad people, I hate them. I know my grandma is good to me. I didn’t steal my grandma’s money, I only stole Wu Jiandong’s money.”

Seeing her child like this, Lü Yazhi immediately felt that her forehead injury hadn't been in vain.

She walked up to Wu Suowei and took his hand.

She coaxed, "Xiaowei, Grandma doesn't blame you. I've taken care of you for several years, and we have a bond. From now on, you can visit your parents if you want, or you can stay with me if you don't. Grandma can earn money to support you, but you have to listen to Grandma. Your wasting your days like this is more painful than killing me."
