As Wen Qiao spoke, she looked at He Muyi with a cold gaze, "You'd better not like me, so I can go back to China."
After hearing Wen Qiao say those words, He Muyi became more attentive to her.
He Muye did not want to get married, especially not abroad. He knew that once he got married and had children abroad, he would be unable to let go of this place if he wanted to return to China.
He Muye had been on many blind dates before, and had met many daughters of wealthy Chinese families.
It's strange, really. A group of old men who went abroad actually insist on having Chinese ancestry.
It's utterly ridiculous.
As soon as Wen Qiao finished speaking, He Muye suddenly stood up, approached Wen Qiao, and closed in on her with a cruel smile on his face.
"Really? I didn't like you just now, but I think your personality is quite interesting. It doesn't matter who I marry. Besides, you're Grandpa Wen's granddaughter. What's the difference between marrying you and marrying a bank? I just need money to splurge."
Hearing He Muye speak so directly, the middle-aged woman became nervous.
"Muye, don't talk nonsense. You are the grandson-in-law chosen by Mr. Wen. Besides, although our He family is not as good as the Wen family, we don't need to spend the Wen family's money."
When a middle-aged woman's expression changes, there's something to it.
Wen Qiao appeared passive on the surface, but she was actually thinking of ways to exploit He Muye's weakness.
He wanted to find that mute sister. The reason why He Muyi couldn't find her wasn't because he couldn't, but because he couldn't return to China. The old man of the He family used this to imprison him.
During the meal, Wen Qiao went to the restroom.
After seeing Wen Qiao's little gesture, He Muyi hesitated for a moment, then got up and followed her out.
Sure enough, he found Wen Qiao waiting for him.
"Let's discuss a collaboration, a fake marriage. I know you don't like me, and you should also know that I don't like you either. I was tricked into this by Wen Zhengnian using his inheritance..."
He Muye replied, "Don't make yourself sound so innocent. If you weren't greedy for money, you wouldn't have been deceived at all."
“My husband is a military officer, and my friend is a detective. I promise I can help you find your sister.”
Before Wen Qiao could finish speaking, He Muye grabbed her by the neck.
In that instant, the object in Wen Qiao's hand, through the leather bag, pressed against He Muye's abdomen.
Hearing Wen Qiao's uneven breathing, she said, "Let go of me and speak to me politely. Anyone can resort to violence."
“Interesting.” He Muyi immediately released his grip on Wen Qiao’s hand. He knew all too well what Wen Qiao was holding: a pistol.
"They look delicate, like a little white flower, but they're quite formidable."
He Muye also knew that Wen Qiao was not as weak as he had seen, and perhaps this was an opportunity for him.
They use each other to fight against two damned old men.
What He Muye was also looking forward to was that Wen Qiao said she could help him find his sister. She was the only person who told him that she would help him, regardless of Wen Qiao's purpose.
It certainly piqued He Muye's interest.
