"Are you willing to provide porridge to the people?" Xiao Shengxing asked.
He was a little surprised, and looked at Li Furong with a hint of astonishment.
"Your Majesty, my father was confused for a moment and wanted to celebrate this victory. It was well-intentioned."
Li Furong nodded obediently and said, "This humble servant knows the suffering of the people and has been distributing porridge these past few days. I beg Your Majesty to forgive my father's mistakes."

General Li also kowtowed quickly, deeply regretting his actions today. If he had known that this would cause such a disaster, why would he have used a banquet to curry favor with the emperor?

Su Lijin looked at the kneeling father and daughter without saying a word. She turned her head and saw a look of admiration in Xiao Shengxing's eyes.
Xiao Shengxing did think highly of Li Furong. This woman's act of distributing porridge was a good way to exonerate General Li.

"Thank you, Your Majesty, for not punishing me. I will never act foolishly again."
General Li and the other man quickly kowtowed to express their gratitude.
General Li secretly cast a vicious glance in Su Lijin's direction, and had already remembered this grudge in his heart.
Li Furong stood up, but lowered her head so that no one could see the expression on her face.
The banquet ended in a bad mood and everyone who needed to leave had left.
Su Lijin and Xiao Shengxing returned to the big tent. She made tea and poured a cup for each of them.
"Li Furong is going to give out porridge these days. If you have nothing to do, go over and keep an eye on her to see if she makes any other moves."
"The Emperor asked me to keep an eye on her?"
She was a little surprised. She had seen Xiao Shengxing look at Li Furong with some admiration before, and thought that he had some admiration for this person. However, she did not expect that he would ask her to follow him privately.

The place where Li Furong distributed porridge was near the military camp, where there were some people who had no food to eat.
From a distance, Su Lijin saw Li Furong wearing a blue dress, with light makeup on her face, smiling and serving porridge to the people in line.
The porridge that she scooped out with the big spoon in her hand was not thin, but rather thick. After the people drank it, they all had satisfied smiles on their faces.
Seeing this, Su Lijin pretended to be a passerby and asked the people about it.
"Whose family is that lady from? Why is she distributing porridge here?"
"That's General Li's daughter, Li Furong. She's kindhearted and, thinking that everyone doesn't have much to eat, she's so kind as to give out porridge here, free of charge."
Someone exclaimed in admiration.
"What kind of person is Miss Li?" Su Lijin said with a smile, "I'm a little curious if the general's daughter did this on a whim."
"Miss Li is a very kind person. She has always been very kind and generous. Many of us common people have benefited from her kindness."

Looking at the other end, Su Lijin murmured, with a hint of surprise in her eyes.

She thanked the passerby, pointed her finger, and pretended to meet him casually. She smiled and said to Li Furong, "Hey, Miss Li, what a coincidence, I met you here. Are you giving out porridge here today?"
Li Furong had just filled a spoonful of porridge in her hand. When she looked at her, her fingers tightened imperceptibly, and then she smiled and said, "Yes, I said I would give porridge to my father, and I kept my word."
There seemed to be nothing unusual in the smile on her face. After she finished speaking, she continued to serve porridge to the people in line. It seemed that she was just giving out porridge.
"Well, Miss Li is really beautiful and kind-hearted."
Su Lijin nodded and walked while talking. She didn't find anything, so she decided to go back for the time being.

Li Furong has calluses on her hands!
