After a flurry of activity, as dusk fell, the thatched hut was finally completed.
After dinner, Jiang Yimian finally remembered what she had forgotten.
Just as Lu Cijian was about to leave, she suddenly called out to him, "Wait a moment."
Lu Cijian stood still, looking at the person who had suddenly run into the room with a puzzled expression, and patiently waited for the other person.
Jiang Yimian quickly ran out of the house, holding a dark, fuzzy thing in her arms.
As she got closer, Lu Cijian realized that it was a neatly folded garment.
He raised an eyebrow, a strange glint in his eyes as he stared at the other person.
Jiang Yimian didn't notice anything unusual about the other person. She simply handed over the winter clothes in her hand. "These are clothes that my mother made for you. They were supposed to be new clothes for winter, but you weren't here at the time, so they've been sitting at home. I just remembered them."
Try it on; Mother said it can be altered if it doesn't fit.
She had almost forgotten about it; if she hadn't suddenly remembered it today, she probably would have completely forgotten about it.
When Lu Cijian took the clothes, his fingers accidentally brushed against Jiang Yimian's soft fingers. He paused, concealing the emotions in his eyes, and simply put on the winter clothes before looking at Jiang Yimian.
Jiang Yimian sized up the person in front of her, remaining silent for a long time.
To be honest, this winter outfit wasn't very nice; it was just a simple gray short jacket made of coarse cloth, which made Lu Cijian look a bit silly.
But the person in front of her seemed oblivious, his peach blossom eyes filled with undisguised laughter, and his originally cold expression softened, which made Jiang Yimian lose her composure.
She then realized why she had suddenly remembered something she had clearly forgotten.
