Chapter 392 Miss Jiang, rest assured, none of you will be missing.

Jiang Yimian slashed the dagger in her hand toward his neck. "Lord Zhou, you'd better behave yourself. Otherwise, I might accidentally kill someone if my hand slips."

Bright red blood dripped slowly from the dagger to the ground. Zhou Shiwen felt a chill on his neck and quickly said, "Stop, stop! Don't move!"

The soldiers had no choice but to stay put, afraid that Jiang Yimian might accidentally kill Zhou Shiwen.

Jiang Yimian led Zhou Shiwen into the yamen, and along the way they saw many soldiers searching everywhere.

Seeing the person she was holding hostage, he only held his weapon and stared at her warily, but did not dare to make a move.

The West Courtyard, which was currently empty, was densely packed with people, all of whom were medical officers, officials from the Censorate, and those from the Ministry of Works who were powerless to even kill a chicken.

Wang San and his group were also among them, each bearing numerous wounds, the bloody scars appearing particularly frightening under the rain.

All the previously closed doors were now open, and the rooms were in a mess, clearly having been ransacked.

Jiang Yimian frowned, looking at all those people with soldiers holding broadswords to their necks, and shouted, "Release them, or I'll kill Zhou Shiwen right now."

The soldiers didn't move, but stared intently at Jiang Yimian with their weapons in hand.

Zhou Shiwen immediately shouted, "Qi Shang, come quickly and save me! Kill this vile woman!"

Jiang Yimian coldly stared at the person who came out of the house.

The man wore a sarcastic sneer, but his words carried a hint of amusement, as if he were reminiscing about old times. "Long time no see, Miss Jiang. Oh, where is Lord Lu? By the way, my men should have already gone."

"Don't worry, Miss Jiang, none of you will be missing."

These two first caused chaos at the mine, leading to the loss of Pingjiang County, and now they want to take Qingnan away from the King of Chu as well. They're dreaming.

He won't give them a chance; he's determined to kill these culprits in Qingnan.

Jiang Yimian tightened her grip on the dagger, frowning as she said, "What do you want to do? Rebel? Is this also an order from the King of Chu?"

To plot against an official of the imperial court is a capital offense.

They thought these people's target was Wei Jinghai, and that Lu Cijian was fine. They believed that once the other party learned about the matter at the government office, they would definitely find a way to rescue him.

Now, things have gotten even worse; Lu Cijian is also running into trouble.

Therefore, it's really difficult to get away today.

Qi Shang laughed as if he had heard the biggest joke in the world. "Who is the King of Chu? I don't know. I am only under the command of Lord Zhou. You people dare to impersonate officials of the court and harbor wanted criminals. You are all guilty of a capital offense."

Zhou Shiwen was clearly startled by these words, but still said, "What nonsense are you talking about? Hurry up and kill all these people and come save me."

Qi Shang seemed not to hear his shouts, only glancing at everyone in the courtyard before staring at Jiang Yimian and saying, "Where is Wei Jinghai? Hand him over."

Jiang Yimian simply said in a cold voice, "Release them."

There were nearly a thousand guards at the city gate. No matter how powerful she was, it was impossible for her to save everyone from them.

The King of Chu was determined to get Wei Jinghai, and was willing to kill them all.

Qi Shang merely glanced at the people in the courtyard and said coldly, "Miss Jiang seems to have not yet grasped one thing. I am not discussing this with you right now."

I'll ask you one last time, where is Wei Jinghai?

After saying that, he grabbed the child that the woman was holding in his arms.

Xiao Bao burst into tears at the sudden turn of events, but he was too scared to cry loudly and could only shed tears silently.

Qi Shang, holding Xiao Bao by the collar with one hand and a dagger in the other, laughed and said, "Since Miss Jiang is unwilling to say where Wei Jinghai is, then I will kill one person for every time I ask, until everyone here is wiped out."

As soon as he finished speaking, he raised the dagger high and stabbed it into Xiao Bao's throat.

Everyone gasped in shock. The woman nearly fainted from fright, but she bit her lip tightly and didn't dare to utter a sound. Her tearful eyes and trembling body revealed her breakdown.

Jiang Yimian just stared at him coldly, her dagger still stabbing straight into Zhou Shiwen's arm before being pulled out violently.

Zhou Shiwen gasped in pain and quickly stopped him, "No, don't do it, Qi Shang, are you crazy? Save me! This woman is insane, I don't want to die."

Qi Shang ignored Zhou Shiwen, and the dagger in his hand showed no sign of stopping, still stabbing towards Xiao Bao's throat.

His words were utterly provocative: "It seems Miss Jiang is determined to conceal Wei Jinghai's whereabouts. In that case, I have no choice but to kill this child."

"I want to see if Miss Jiang can just stand by and watch these people die one by one for Wei Jinghai's sake."

With that, the dagger was already pressed against Xiao Bao's throat.

The woman seemed to sense Jiang Yimian's hesitation, and suddenly lunged at Qi Shang, knocking the dagger out of his hand and biting his leg tightly.

However, the soldiers quickly stepped forward and pulled the woman away.

The woman's face was streaked with tears, and she had a piece of flesh bitten off of her own flesh in her mouth.

Blood was washed from her face by the rain and onto the ground, gradually seeping into the puddles.

She still shouted loudly, "Miss Jiang, I'm willing to die, but please don't tell these people where General Wei is."

General Wei is a hero of the Great Jin Dynasty. Only with him alive can the Great Jin Dynasty enjoy peace and stability. I am willing to die for General Wei, and so is Xiao Bao.

Xiao Bao was being held tightly by Qi Shang. After hearing the woman's words, he nodded to Jiang Yimian.

The child was only four or five years old, thin and small, and probably didn't understand what the woman meant by death, but still nodded firmly at her.

Jiang Yimian felt a sudden, sharp pain in her chest, and her grip on the dagger tightened.

She actually hated the feeling of being threatened, so much so that she threw away everything in her heart that could affect her at a young age.

But since coming here, it seems that the things that were abandoned one by one have been slowly found again, like now.

It's a matter of sacrificing one person to save everyone, or sacrificing so many people to protect Wei Jinghai and safeguard the borders of the Great Jin Dynasty from invasion.

It seems like she was given a choice, but in reality, she wasn't.

Upon seeing this, Imperial Physician Chen hurriedly shouted, "Miss Jiang, even if we die, it will be worth it to protect General Wei."

We are not afraid to die.

"Yes, it's worth dying for General Wei."

"Yes, it's worth it. That's why we're not afraid of dying."

Seeing that many people were agreeing, the officers and soldiers were stunned.

Who in the Great Jin Dynasty didn't know the name Wei Jinghai? Which young man wasn't his idol?

Even they, didn't they become officers and soldiers because they wanted to become like Wei Jinghai?

In the end, she became the one who wanted to force Wei Jinghai to his death.

Qi Shang glanced down at the wound on his leg, a cold smile spreading across his lips. "If Wei Jinghai were truly a hero, you wouldn't be dead. That coward abandoned you here just to save his own life. What kind of hero is that?"

However, since you are willing to die, fine, I will grant your wish.

As he spoke, he thrust the dagger in his hand toward the woman.
