Upon hearing this, Xie Yang's face turned pale with anger, and he kicked the person in front of him away, about to rush outside.
However, the guards standing outside Junzixuan instantly drew their curved swords and surrounded Xie Yang.
"Your Highness, please don't make things difficult for us. If we start fighting, it would be bad if Your Highness got hurt."
Xie Yang looked at the man beside him holding a curved sword and just sneered, "Fine, fine, does the Khan have to be so ruthless?"
He shouldn't blame me for not warning him.
After saying that, he flicked his sleeve and walked straight into the courtyard.
The guards outside the door exchanged glances, and one of them hurriedly headed toward the courtyard where Alite was.
Xie Yang returned to his study, and his earlier impulsiveness subsided.
If Zhou Wenyi and his wife are indeed Lu Cijian and Jiang Yimian, then he shouldn't be the one worrying now.
He didn't believe that Alite would trust Zhou Wenyi and the other person so much.
Now that they have taken control of Junzixuan, how could they not also take control of Xiyuan?
The people who should be worried now are those two.
Thinking about all this, his worries finally lessened a little.
Although the Western Liang was not as powerful as the Tuyuhun and the Great Jin, neither of those countries would be able to mobilize all their forces to deal with the Western Liang.
Unless they want to be enemies with all the countries around them.
No matter how powerful Lu Cijian and Jiang Yimian are, they could not possibly deal with all the guards in the city lord's mansion.
These two are now trapped inside the city lord's mansion, like fish on a chopping board, at the mercy of others.
Realizing this, he relaxed completely, eager to see what the two men would do next.
Inside the tunnel.
While brutally whipping a Xia man who was slumped on the ground, covered in blood and gore, Bamo looked at the murals on the wall and a mocking smile appeared on his lips. "Oh, Chief Wu really didn't misjudge him. This little guy is quite good at carving murals."
After saying that, he threw the whip in his hand to the person next to him and looked at the person who was slumped on the ground, covered in bruises.
Upon hearing this, Wu'e could only smile obsequiously, "Lord Bamo is truly remarkable. He rendered him immobile in just a few moves; otherwise, this mural would not have been completed today."
As he spoke, he raised his foot and kicked the boy on the ground hard, cursing, "You good-for-nothing, hurry up and thank Lord Bamo for his praise."
The boy fell heavily to the ground because of his kick, and blood flowed down his forehead again, blurring his vision.
Seeing that the boy was not moving, Wu'e was about to continue his attack when Bamo stopped him, "Hey, that's enough, this person can't die yet."
This guy has to stay alive until he figures out who infiltrated the tunnel last night.
Wu'e simply smiled and nodded, no longer looking at the young boy.
Bamo glanced at the mangled corpse on the ground before waving to the people beside him, "Drag this corpse away and have those Xia people chop it up and feed it to the dogs."
The guards nearby quickly responded and reached out to drag the mangled body off the ground.
U'e laughed and said, "My lord, leave this to me. It's just disposing of a corpse. I'll chop it up neatly and make sure you like it, Dog Lord."
Bamo merely raised an eyebrow and patted the other person's face. "No need. I know you chopped well, but unfortunately my dog doesn't like things that are too neat."
"You, on the other hand, should stay here and wait for him to finish carving the entire mural. Tomorrow, I don't want to see bloodstains on the wall and rubble on the ground."
Wu'e hurriedly nodded and bowed, saying, "Yes, I will certainly not disappoint Lord Bamo."
Bamo nodded in satisfaction, vigorously wiped the blood off his hands onto the other person's body, and then left with his men.
Seeing that only Wu'e and he were left in the tunnel, Tuwen threw out the bloodstained sharp stone in his hand, stared at the other with bloodshot eyes, and roared weakly, "You, you will die a horrible death, you are not worthy to be a Xia person."
Ue caught the stone and tossed it back to the other person with a cold expression. "I've already died once, so it doesn't matter if I die a bad death."
Your sister is in the room next door.
"Finish carving this mural before leaving."
After saying that, he headed straight for another tunnel.
Tuwen, enraged, punched the wall, and the dried blood on his hand gushed out again.
He used to think he could understand the other party, after all, if Wu'e hadn't ordered people to carve these murals, how could they know how desperate those Xia people were before they died.
Wu'e must have been heartbroken when he saw the Xia people carving these murals.
The reason he beat and scolded them was simply because of those people from Xiliang.
He is their great general, how could he really abandon them and become like those people from Xiliang!
In the past, whenever he saw Wu'e beating and scolding the Xia people, he would comfort himself in this way.
But now, he only finds his past self laughable and can't understand Ue at all.
How could there be such a cold and inhuman person in this world? Wu'e could watch the Xia people die in front of him, but he couldn't.
Such a gruesome death is both infuriating and heartbreaking.
How could he not be moved at all?
If he hadn't been mentally prepared, he probably would have gone mad like those Xia people who went insane, until he was tortured to death by the Xiliang people again, and then the next person to carve the mural would have to repeat their fate.
In front of each mural is a story of a Xia person who died tragically.
These murals were made from piles of corpses of the Xia people.
