"Can't you just listen to what I have to say?" the man shouted, his tone tinged with helplessness. "You'll lose your humanity, your last shred of conscience will be wiped out—that's how it is under normal circumstances, but who knows what changes might occur to you."
Then he heard 659 say something.
"You're a smart person too, you know what it'll be like to lose certain things. It's just being stripped of humanity, it doesn't matter. I like humanity's last struggle to abandon their identity, it's truly moving—"

Then, the chaotic sense of disorientation finally subsided. He Yu then steadied himself and realized that his entire body from his neck down was soaked, and his dress was covered in blood.
"Is it ready?" he asked.
659 let go of his hand, stood back on the opposite side, staring at him with an enthusiastic expression.
“Congratulations on completing your apprenticeship, my dear fellow practitioner.” He smiled and said calmly, “From now on, I have to leave you for a while, maybe a few days, a few months? Or a very long time. You will have to rely on yourself for the rest of your journey. I have some things to do. I won’t be able to see you again unless I feel that you urgently need help.”
"Don't ask any more questions, you wouldn't understand even if I told you. Would you think I'd tell you that I'm going to find 'Fate' and wreak havoc on its entire family? Hahahaha!"
The man burst into laughter, smashing a wine bottle as he picked up a shard and walked over. He Yu heard 659's voice again... not in front of him, but as if it came from his mind.
He slit his own throat without hesitation, his movements as swift and decisive as ever.
“But you will always…feel me,” he said, with an undisguised expectation: “between flesh and blood, deep within the soul, in all the places you have been.”
"Your time to die has passed, He Yu."
"Because I took it for you."
Finally, 659 gave him a deep look.
“I’ll wait for you to return to Wave Layer 2, if you really do come back alive,” he said. “I can promise you—”
He smiled at the other person again, a genuine smile from the bottom of his heart.
"I'll host an unprecedented feast for you."
