Chapter 275 Friendly Visit

Chapter 276 Friendly Visit

Without any warning.

Christopher recounted very different stories.

"Often, by the time you realize the problem is serious, it's already too late."

"For example, you participate in an experiment linking to the second wave layer in Zone N89 and come back alive—only to find out that the forbidden substance that actually wants you is just trash, and one experiment costs more money than an average person could earn in several lifetimes. Under pressure, everyone is watching you, and you can only stammer and make excuses. But after you leave the lab..."

"It might be in those few seconds before you leave the house that you think of the best thing to say, something that can refute everyone else."

"Some things are so regrettable that words fail you, so regrettable that you have nightmares just from mentioning them."

Mike Rong was speechless. Christopher's thought process had always been so strange, it was simply astonishing.

"You bastard, don't try to insert your own agenda into your stories."

"And next time you say something so explosive, give me a heads-up first, okay? Your 'forced takeoff' story is making me lose my erection."

Christopher feigned a hurt expression, looking at him with a bitter and resentful look, and said...

"It's just a bored complaint."

"I once saw some records in the boss's room, which were very, very terrifying."

“Eoubs…that’s what he called that organization.”

"It is said that this world is actually a dream woven by some forbidden object, similar to the Fourth Dimension. All the people living here, whether they are from the Heavenly Gospel or similar forces that are left to fend for themselves, are mostly former Eoubs agents. The rest are just life forms projected from the present world by that bastard named Li Lin."

"It's actually quite complicated to put it this way, but in this world, we are indeed flesh and blood. To put it another way—even if we are people living in a dream, when this place completely collapses, we can still enter the present world through some medium."

After Christopher finished speaking, he suddenly started dancing in an extremely contorted posture, looking just like a stick insect.

"Crazy?"

"Really? You're suddenly talking so seriously, I'm taken aback."

Mikron couldn't believe it. A dream projection? If it was really as he said, if everyone in this space escaped, wouldn't that mean it would develop into a chaotic brawl between more than 10 billion humans?

This is so terrifying that it defies description.

"Of course it's real, I saw it in the eldest brother's room, and it's his handwriting."

"I have absolutely no recollection of Eoubs, they're probably just projected trash. It's fucking awful... I heard those operatives are quite popular outside, they're all either sleeping around with women or doing drugs and having parties. Unlike us, stuck here getting moldy, so bored we have to tell stories to pass the time."

Christopher was filled with grief and indignation. It's true that there's no harm without comparison. Although they had a great time at N89, once he saw those records, he realized what it meant to work for the world's top people—even their shit could be turned into gold, okay? It was that exaggerated.

However, it seems that those operatives also died very quickly, but someone like him who does nothing, even if he lives a long time, is still a stupid bastard!

"So, you were born into the wrong family."

"Of course, it still depends on how amazing the implanted contraindication is."

It seemed as if a new world had been opened up.

Christopher took a deep breath and began to fantasize about time.

"That's right... that kind of forbidden item with invincible properties."

"I remember that the fusion drug is much less effective on people who have already been successfully tested, but I haven't tried the latest version yet."

"If I could re-enter the second fluctuation layer..."

"I'm definitely going to rule the world, hahaha!"

Christopher said this, just as he was about to communicate this idea to the planning headquarters.

A noisy unloading sound came from outside the broadcasting station. The two glanced at the live monitor and found that it was the same group of refugees that the patrol team had previously discovered.

N89 has always prioritized accepting outsiders like these, not because Joshua is particularly merciful—what they lack right now are refugees who are grateful for a little benefit. If they're lucky, they might even encounter operatives who have regained their memories, which would be wonderful to use to strengthen their power.

They had nothing to worry about; the temptation to become extraordinary by implanting forbidden substances was simply too great.

Just as the two were getting ready to have some fun, the patrolman on the comms said that the visitors weren't there for help, but to discuss cooperation. The leader was a very thin man who looked like he had over-shaped himself and was on drugs every day. This guy meant that he needed to meet with the person in charge of N89 district.

"Hold."

"What kind of crap is this? He even wants to meet Joshua? That's fucking outrageous."

“Let him go back to where he came from.”

Mike quickly pulled Christopher back, signaling him not to act crazy. He had a bad feeling. The two of them had been here for at least a year and had never seen anyone so reckless as to cause trouble. This was the first time they had seen such a thing.

Something unusual must be going on.

For a group of this size to make it this far from their jurisdiction, they couldn't possibly be unaware of the background of each district. Besides, judging from the surveillance footage, they all only suffered minor injuries. However, the leader and the others all looked like they had swallowed ten plates of cockroaches alive, which made it hard not to suspect something was amiss.

"Don't make a decision yet."

"Something's not right with these people, especially the one in the lead."

"At the southern end... is the paradise of Sector N76? The fact that they were able to cross over here must mean they have considerable strength, maybe even comparable to Joshua."

"Let's go, we still need to go out and take a look."

As he spoke, Mike Rong took a special weapon that the research institute had just manufactured, filled it with ammunition, and then walked out first.

"Hold."

"Is he really that handsome?"

"If I get an erection, then I'm my partner."

Christopher followed closely behind.

...

...

Five minutes have passed.

The patrolmen guarding the broadcasting station were fully armed and surrounded Hamilton's group. They had noticed something unusual – the newcomers had an enormous amount of supplies, and most of them were on high alert, as if they had just been through a major battle.

Christopher, a cigarette dangling from his lips, stepped out of the freight elevator. Mickelson then detoured to the research institute to retrieve a detector, which could determine whether a person had any prohibited substances implanted in their body.

"Damn, this is even bigger than it looks in the surveillance footage."

He hissed in his cigarette, then his gaze met Hamilton's.

"Look at your mom, why are you looking so arrogant?"
