Chapter 52 (Complete)

Chapter 52 (Complete)

This was Shigure's first time taking such a long journey.

Gray roads and buildings as dense as an ant nest, steel skyscrapers standing in a forest, and tracks built in the sky - the scenery outside the hovercar passed by quickly, but Shi Yu was not in the mood to appreciate it. She hugged her knees, feeling a little dizzy due to the abnormal speed and height.

Three hours later, they arrived at their destination.

In front of Rein's villa, there is a large and spacious courtyard that is kept basically clean and tidy. There are some green plants, but there is no sign of flower beds or fountains, making it look extremely empty.

The young man looked around the deserted courtyard, then lowered his eyes and said, "I've ordered a housekeeping robot for you. It will be delivered in the next two days."

"I'm the only one living here. If you need anything, you can transform it into your favorite exterior style," he said. "I've given you full permission."

An Omega who had just been released from the nursing home might feel uncomfortable with the unfamiliar living environment. Taking this into consideration, Rain didn't mind letting the girl interfere in these matters which should have been private matters.

Shigure got out first, keeping some distance between her and the officer—necessarily so due to the surveillance ring. The young man lagged behind her by a few steps, concentrating on recalling and confirming whether there was anything else they needed to add for the Omega.

"……Thanks you."

The girl in front paused and responded with a little lack of energy.

As soon as he entered the room, Shi Yu suddenly felt a familiar sense of security.

This room was very similar in style to her previous one at the nursing home. Perhaps Mr. Rein had consulted with the director of the nursing home and had it decorated to a style she was already accustomed to. After putting down her luggage, Shi Yu lay down on the bed and rested for a while. She felt the nausea that had always lingered in her chest, caused by motion sickness, subside a lot.

She took out her tablet and called the general first. After reporting that she was safe, she dialed Ed's contact number.

Without permission, the nursing home prohibited external contact. Ed's conversation with the boy named Theodore was likely due to Ed's special access. However, this rule did not apply to Shigure, a fellow Omega. As soon as the connection was successful, Shigure immediately raised the tablet to show Ed his new room.

"...Turn on the holographic mode." Ed was dizzy from Shigure's dazzling presence and was silent for a moment. The young man instructed her, "Before you left, the tablet probably already disabled the holographic mode. Try turning it on."

Shigure: "Ah? Okay."

After searching for a while, she successfully opened the hologram, and Ed with silver hair and blue eyes appeared in front of her. Both the boy's beautiful face and the coldness in his expression were very real, but his figure was a little illusory.

“I can’t touch it…”

The new function made Shi Yu look surprised and she tried to reach out to pull the boy's hand, but she saw that her fingertips passed through Ed as if through the air and failed to touch anything real. The girl's tone changed from surprise to loss.

Ed lowered his eyes, looked at the girl's wrist that fell to her side, and replied calmly, "Of course I can't touch it."

"What's wrong with your face?" Ed raised his eyes to look at her, his gaze lingering on her pale face. "Are you feeling unwell? Or are you not used to something here?"

When this was mentioned, Shi Yu immediately made a bitter face and replied: "Well... I was a little carsick just now."

She didn't know that the hover car could fly to such a height. The feeling of slight weightlessness still lingers vaguely in Shi Yu's mind.

——Until dinner time, Shigure still hadn't adjusted to her state. Rein and Shigure sat across from each other at a long table in a restaurant. She finally noticed the way she slowly swallowed her food with a frown, with some difficulty.

"Is the food not to your taste?"

The young man looked at Shi Yu with his icy blue eyes and said after a moment's hesitation, "I have tried my best to choose light dishes. If you are not used to them, you can ask for a change."

Shi Yu shook his head, not wanting to trouble Rein, and said, "No, I like it very much. It's not about the food."

Rein nodded slightly. The blond youth changed out of his military uniform, now dressed in a neat shirt and black pants. His face appeared elegant and indifferent. Perhaps Omegas simply didn't eat that much, so he didn't consider other possibilities.

Rain glanced at Shigure's plate and offered a suggestion: "Well, to stay healthy," he said, "perhaps you could try increasing your food intake a little."

“…” Shi Yu’s posture holding the knife and fork stiffened for a moment.

Then, her eyes wandered and she uttered a subtle "hmm".

——Nodded slowly, slowly.

Mr. Rein is very busy.

It was not until the second day after arriving here that Shi Yu truly realized this matter.

This three-story villa, seemingly spacious and bright, was currently empty except for Shigure and Rein. The furnishings and decorations within seemed to betray their owner's lack of attention to detail; they were few in number and rather plain in appearance. While Rein was out for the day, Shigure had simply wandered around, familiarizing himself with the surroundings, before quickly returning to his room.

…Although, I can still call Ed and the others, or review my lessons, Shi Yu thought.

——But she still felt bored and had nothing to do.

In the evening, Lei Yin returned home and Shi Yu received a small gift from him.

"Because of work, I can't accompany you for a long time."

After handing Shigure the gift, the light-blond officer politely apologized. He'd done his homework under the protection organization's guidance and knew that Omegas sometimes needed companionship. However, due to the nature of his work, Ray knew he couldn't accommodate her, so, at the suggestion of his colleagues, he resorted to this method to comfort her.

Shi Yu held the oversized rabbit doll that Lei Yin handed to her, and the scene of Lei Yin in a neat military uniform, holding the rabbit home with an expressionless face suddenly emerged in her mind. She wanted to laugh, but she tried hard to hold it back.

"Housekeeping robots will arrive tomorrow, and your basic living needs will be roughly met. If you want entertainment, I will customize the relevant machines and equipment."

"Or," the officer lowered his icy blue eyes, observing Shigure's expression, "Do you need a real butler?"

He began to wonder whether it was necessary to invite another outsider to this residence.

"Ah, that's not necessary." Shi Yu shook his head and looked at the rabbit in his arms. "I know you're very busy. I...well, if a stranger comes, we have to get along with each other again, so a robot will be enough."

Lei Yin had already done a lot for her within his ability, and Shi Yu would feel embarrassed to ask for anything more, so the matter was put aside.

After the housekeeping robot arrived, Shi Yu spent two days full of exploration and novelty.

However, the novelty came and went quickly. After calling Ed in the morning, and calling Xia Feng and Wayne, no one answered the calls. On this day, Shi Yu had only planned to take a nap.

Lei Yin finished work early in the afternoon and returned. Because she felt that the room was unusually quiet, she asked the robot to wake her up from her sleep. Shi Yu vaguely noticed the time. It was already five o'clock in the afternoon.

"Do you often sleep until this time?"

The young man, with his shirt collar buttoned to the very top above his collarbone and his blond hair combed meticulously even when he was relaxing at home, looked at her with a slightly disapproving look.

Shi Yu changed his clothes, his hair still a little messy, and sat opposite Rain. He said guiltily, "...I only didn't pay attention today."

Lei Yin frowned, as if he couldn't believe her words, with a hint of contemplation between his brows.

"Get ready these few days." After a moment's silence, he spoke calmly, "You need to start taking a few courses. Maybe that will help adjust your irregular schedule."

...Because she was caught slacking off by her guardian, two days later, Lei Yin told Shi Yu that he had found a suitable teacher for her, and Shi Yu immediately began a life of being forced to study.

The course's instructors were all married Omegas, all of whom were patient and gentle. Unlike the nursing home, Shigure didn't have to study science. Her classes were divided into four areas: culture, history, etiquette, and cooking. After researching the materials, Rein believed these courses would be of practical use to Shigure in the future.

Shi Yu is no longer idle, her life has become busy, and after taking several classes, the teachers have also made their own evaluations of Shi Yu.

Her academic performance was fine. Shi Yu had a good memory, could clearly remember the test templates and apply them quickly, and her essays were also at a passing grade. However, Shi Yu's excellent memory in academic subjects seemed to disappear completely in her history class. When memorizing information, she often made small mistakes such as mixing up names and not being able to distinguish timelines, which caused great distress to her teacher.

If the class that day was etiquette class, Shigure would be the one who was troubled.

She had to stand for long periods of time, maintain a proper smile and an elegant posture, and remember and pay attention to every detail of her movements. Shi Yu felt a sore back every day after class, and since she started taking etiquette lessons, Rein had taken it upon himself to be the person responsible for reviewing her etiquette achievements.

"Pause." The young man spoke calmly, his icy blue eyes fixed on Shi Yu's wrist. Shi Yu's hand holding the spoon trembled slightly. She heard Rain ask her, "Do you know where you went wrong?"

The voice was low and strict—perhaps because Mr. Rain was an instructor, even though he seemed to have controlled his tone and expression, Shigure still couldn't help but feel nervous whenever he made a mistake under his gaze.

"When scooping soup, work from the inside out." Shi Yu said after a breath, "And keep the spoon steady."

"You didn't make a mistake on the second one," Rein pointed out. "You were just too nervous."

Shi Yu didn't say anything. She drank the soup silently, thinking bitterly in her heart - if Mr. Rain hadn't gradually started to pay attention to her various behaviors in front of him, and sometimes even reminded her with a hint of blame, she wouldn't have become nervous when she was stopped...

——If the course that Shi Yu most dislikes and is most reluctant to attend is etiquette class, then cooking class is the class she enjoys the most!

Shigure preferred making desserts to regular meals, and her teacher was very accommodating, allowing the girl, who hadn't had any cooking points in over a decade, to enthusiastically experiment with all sorts of bizarre creations in class. As a result, she created countless masterpieces like solid soufflés, gingerbread with a base of devilish chili peppers, and cherry tomato brownies.

The teacher smiled and tasted each dish, giving Shi Yu a good evaluation, which immediately gave Shi Yu enough confidence and confidence. One day, when Lei Yin came back from overtime, she happily invited Lei Yin to sit at the table and served him the finished product of her cooking class.

Lei Yin lowered his eyes to glance at the colorful platter in front of him, then couldn't help but frown slightly and subconsciously rubbed his temples.

"Is this your homework?" He knew the girl's lessons for the day.

"Yes! So, Mr. Rain..."

Shigure stood a few steps away, looking at him expectantly.

Rein was silent for a moment, then he took off his gloves and tried to pick up a chocolate and put it into his mouth.

Rein rarely showed any easily discernible emotions. After more than a decade of military life and the tempering of actual combat, he already possessed a very strong will and a certain amount of endurance - therefore, he easily controlled the fluctuations in his facial expression at this moment.

The young man's Adam's apple moved slightly, and after the unique sour and spicy taste of the chocolate disappeared, he asked in a slightly hoarse voice, "What is this?"

"Huh?" Shi Yu looked at him in surprise, as if to say, "Can't you tell?" "It's chocolate?"

Rein: “…”

"My cooking is still immature, but the teacher praised me for my ideas and talent!" Shi Yu clenched his fist and said firmly, "For example, adding raisins to enhance the flavor of chocolate, and adding a little pepper to enhance the freshness. Right now, I only know how to make desserts. When I learn more, I can make you a portable bento!"

"...No need, as long as you can get some exercise."

Rein paused and refused in a tactful and unforced manner, "I'm used to having my meals in the military academy cafeteria."

These were the things that happened between her and Rein after she started the course.

——Mr. Rain is really very busy, Shi Yu thought, so the chance to spend time with him and communicate with him was only these two short times this week. Even Rona, a member of the protection organization, talked to her more than Rain.

They usually didn't have much to talk about, but because classes started this week, Lei Yin took the time to talk to her for a while.

But that’s all.

"Is he so busy?" Ed's voice came from the phone. "As an adoptive father, he should spend at least twenty hours a week with the Omega. Besides, I remember Officer Rain is still under observation."

He should pay more attention to this rule.

"It's okay," Shi Yu paused for a moment, thinking as he spoke, "Although I don't see him often, he will try his best to meet my needs, and sometimes he will bring me gifts to make up for it."

As for the twenty hours of companionship per week... Shi Yu found it a little hard to imagine. Sitting face to face with Rein, they would have no topics to talk about for a maximum of ten minutes, and they would have to endure the rest of the time.

So there was no need for Shi Yu to make things so difficult for herself and Rein. She was already very satisfied that he could chat with Shi Yu casually in his spare time.

And... Shi Yu suddenly remembered: "By the way, Mr. Rein said that he would take me to an exhibition this weekend."

"Exhibition?" Ed frowned.

"Hmm, it seems to be an exhibition related to robots."

Shi Yu's expression was filled with anticipation and nervousness. Adopted Omegas were allowed to go out with their guardians' consent, and this was her first trip since arriving here. "What's wrong, Ed?"

"Nothing," Ed told her calmly, "It's your first time out, so be careful."

After finishing work yesterday, Lei Yin returned home and mentioned this matter to Shi Yu. This was actually the general's suggestion - Shi Yu originally wanted to leave because of some rules of the nursing home, and the general thought that going out and relaxing more might be beneficial for her.

Rein also realized that he was too busy, so as a way of compensating himself, he suggested that Shigure was originally interested in mechanics. So she thought about it and agreed.

Before the weekend when waiting for the exhibition to arrive, Shi Yu finally got in touch with Xia Feng.

Xia Feng had just finished his compulsory labor at the nursing home and had not yet returned to the military academy. The girl Alpha looked tired, but she still answered Shi Yu's call as soon as possible in the hovercraft.

"Are you tired? You should get some rest these days." Shi Yu looked at her worriedly, then asked, "Next, Xia Feng, are you going back to the military academy?"

Xia Feng denied it: "No, I'm going home."

Shigure: "Ah, then Wayne..."

Xia Feng was silent for a moment, then raised his black eyes and looked at her thoughtfully.

"Something's going on with Wayne," Xia Feng said without much emotion, "it would be better if he comes back and tells you about it himself."

"Besides, he probably doesn't have time to talk to you right now."

Hearing Xia Feng say this, Shi Yu sighed in disappointment.

“…I know,” she said.

The day before the exhibition, Lei Yin gave Shi Yu a necklace. Shi Yu thought that this might be another gift from Lei Yin, so she hesitated and did not accept it for a long time.

Shi Yu felt that she should find an opportunity to tell Mr. Lei Yin about her thoughts. He actually didn't need to give her anything so frequently. Because Lei Yin always took care of her materially, their relationship always seemed polite and distant, which always made Shi Yu feel awkward.

"This is a device that suppresses your scent. You need to wear it when you go out tomorrow."

Noticing her hesitation, Rain thought for a moment and added, "I don't really care about the style. If you need it, I'll replace it for you after tomorrow."

Omegas usually need to wear some equipment to suppress their own pheromones when traveling. This necklace is very necessary for her. Shi Yu understood the meaning of it, so after expressing her gratitude, she silently accepted the gift.

"Mr. Rain..." Shi Yu held the necklace, seeming hesitant and wanting to discuss something with him.

Rein looked at her, his ice-blue eyes like the surface of a lake under winter snow. He listened calmly and indifferently to Shi Yu's troubled words.

"No, nothing for now..."

Shigure gave up.

Lei Yin nodded, without asking any further questions, and simply said, "You have a schedule tomorrow, so go to bed early."

The next day, Shigure put on the necklace and went to the exhibition with Rain.

Today is a rest day and the venue seems very crowded. Shi Yu looked at the machines in the display cabinets with novelty and curiosity. If the theme of the exhibition was not robots, she would even think that some of the display cabinets contained living animals and humans.

She stared at the rabbit displayed in the glass in front of her and said happily to Rain, "Mr. Rain, this..."

Rein raised his hand, signaling Shi Yu to remain quiet for the moment. The light-blond officer listened to the voice on the communication with a cold expression.

He seemed to have something important to do... So Shi Yu was stunned and stopped talking.

During the exhibition, Rein and Shigure did not completely lack communication. When Shigure asked about the functions of the robots, Rein would slowly and carefully tell her the functions and creation intentions of these machines. However, the young man's calm narration was interrupted several times by the communication terminal ringing.

Shi Yu understood Lei Yin very well. She tried her best to remain well-behaved and quiet, and would only speak when Lei Yin took the initiative to bring up something.

Is this also considered a robot?

At the exhibition, Shi Yu was suddenly attracted by a small display cabinet.

There were goldfish swimming in the low display case in front of her. Shi Yu squatted down and looked at it for a while with some confusion. She only stayed there for a short time and then turned back to look for Rain.

The young man picked up the call again at this time, his cold eyes like a sharp blade, making his expression appear even more inhuman and indifferent.

He didn't even glance over to pay attention. The young man's tall and handsome back walked forward, seemingly unaware that the Omega had fallen behind him.

“Rain…”

Shi Yu stumbled suddenly due to the shove from the side, thus interrupting the words he was about to speak.

People were coming and going around, Lei Yin was walking forward very quickly, Shi Yu was tightly clutching the necklace on his chest, almost seven or eight meters behind him.

Frog-like, lion-like, and tall, pale humanoid robots stared at Shi Yu from their transparent display cases. Shi Yu hurried, no longer finding them amusing or cute. A creeping fear gripped her heart, fearing this unfamiliar environment, a feeling of being left behind, a sense of being completely abandoned.

A mixture of smells rushed into her nostrils. She lowered her head to avoid pair after pair of leather boots or high heels. The soft and weak voice calling out "Mr. Rain" disappeared in the noisy meeting room in an instant.

The girl's heart was beating fast, and she couldn't help but purse her pale lips tightly.

"I told you," Rein said coldly, his face gradually darkening, "you don't need to talk to me about this kind of thing again—"

"...Mr. Rain!"

As Shigure's voice rose slightly, seemingly squeezed out of his throat in panic, Rain stopped.

He frowned slightly, as if he had noticed something, and his calm ice-blue eyes slowly scanned from his side to Shi Yu in the distance.

The girl was panting, the sharp edges of the necklace leaving red marks on her palms. She opened her eyes wide, and a moist timidity and unfamiliarity appeared in them. It was the first time she looked at Rain with such eyes.

The handsome and cold face of the light-blond young man was still straight and expressionless. He hung up the phone and walked towards Shi Yu. The extremely cold smell of fir suppressed her senses.

"Shigure," he said, "I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention."

Lei Yin extended his hand slightly in her direction, as if trying to comfort her. It was a pair of male... Alpha hands. Broad and slender, with a strong sense of bone. The white gloves were politely and coldly raised to the wrist.

Shi Yu shuddered and reflexively took two steps back.

"I'm fine..." Shi Yu avoided Rain's eyes and said, "Don't come any closer."

"…The monitoring ring will sound."

She said so.

Lei Yin lowered his eyes, paused for a moment, and finally dropped his arms back to his sides.

Since returning from the exhibition that day, Shigure has become much quieter.

Another cooking class ended and it was getting dark. When Shi Yu walked out of the kitchen with the food he had made, he unexpectedly saw Rein who had left work early.

The young man with light blond hair, still in military uniform, walked towards her with a frown on his face: "Shigure."

The officer had keenly noticed Shi Yu's avoidance over the past few days and felt he needed to talk to her. Shi Yu seemed lost in thought, but when she heard a voice, she started and quickly covered the plate in front of her with her hands: "Mr. Rain..."

"Do you have some free time now?" Rain looked at her calmly. "I think we need to have a conversation."

Rather than a suggestion, it was more like an order or request from a guardian. The young man's words were low and cold. Shi Yu turned his head slightly and said "hmm" softly.

Shi Yu sat on the sofa with Lei Yin, separated by a considerable distance due to the limitations of the monitoring ring, as if there should have been such a gap between them.

"If you're bothered by the recent events at the exhibition," Rein said, "I apologize again."

Shi Yu lowered his eyes and shook his head slowly.

Almost out of habit, Rein added expressionlessly, "If you need anything..."

"Sir," she said softly, "you don't need to give me anything else. I have already received more than enough."

She never interrupted Rain before, so after she finished speaking, Shi Yu looked extremely nervous.

The officer folded his hands, his neat gloves without a wrinkle. The words he was about to say were forced to pause. He did not react at all, his blue eyes looking at Shi Yu quietly.

She bit her lip lightly and quickly, trying to communicate with Lei Yin: "I, I don't care about what happened at the exhibition... It's just that you sometimes..."

Sometimes, Shigure would feel a little pressured by Rain's attitude.

It wasn't that he didn't care about me, or that he was very strict. It was just that although Rain treated me very well, there was always a sense of rigidity and formality in his attitude.

He provided Shi Yu with a comfortable life, took her outings according to her preferences, and apologized and made amends whenever he noticed she was in a bad mood. On the surface, there seemed to be nothing wrong with this.

However, Rein was like he was carrying out a mission. Although he completed each task in a clear and organized manner, he only did the most basic things.

He gave Shi Yu many gifts. It was fine at the beginning, but when the value accumulated, Shi Yu gradually began to feel uneasy. She thought about refusing, but these gifts were all given to her by Lei Yin as an apology for not being able to accompany her. He used this method to lower Shi Yu's requirement for the obligation of companionship... But Lei Yin didn't have to do this, Shi Yu would understand him.

He took her to the exhibition, but he only fulfilled his duty as a guide, providing less than qualified companionship... He apologized to Shi Yu, but did not ask about her feelings. He only asked her "Do you mind?" If she minded, he would "compensate."

“Sometimes, I feel like you’re distant from me.”

Shigure said this to Rain cautiously.

The light-blond officer nodded slightly, his expression noncommittal. "I did communicate with you too little. It's my fault."

Ah...Mr. Rain is conscious.

Shi Yu felt like a timid cat in her heart, yet she couldn't help but stretch out its claws. She cautiously showed her intimacy: "I... made some cake today." She pushed the plate forward, carefully observing the other person's expression: "Would you like to try it?"

Shi Yu did not complain or blame Raine in the slightest. She expressed her wish in this way.

In fact, after asking Lei Yin to try the food she made for the first time, Shi Yu never had the chance to ask him to taste it again. She really hopes that Lei Yin will try it again.

Rein fell into a brief silence.

Under the girl's gaze, the young man slowly took off his gloves, then calmly picked up a piece of dessert and put it into his mouth.

Beyond Rein's expectations, the taste spreading in his mouth was unexpectedly delicious. While his mind still had the previous impression of Shi Yu's cooking skills, he had unknowingly realized that she had grown a lot.

"It's delicious." He gave an honest evaluation.

Shi Yu felt a little embarrassed. She pursed her lips and smiled shyly.

"Do you have any favorite desserts?" Shi Yu asked, eyes sparkling, as if he was in high spirits. "I'll try it tomorrow and make it for you. What time will you be home tomorrow?"

“…”

The girl's expression made Rain look away slightly. The officer, who wasn't particularly fond of desserts, lowered his eyes and thought for a moment: "Tiramisu."

Thinking that his recent work was nearing completion, Rein gave a specific time: "I will be home before 8 o'clock tomorrow."

After getting up in the morning, Shi Yu studied the recipe until noon, taking only a short nap in between. Then she started to get busy. She looked at the time several times while refrigerating the cheese paste. Fortunately, she finished her homework in time at six o'clock in the afternoon.

So she waited for Rain happily. Mr. Rain should be on his way back by now - she thought. For some reason, Shi Yu's mood began to jump up uncontrollably.

At half past six, after putting away his documents, Lei Yin noticed the time and began to pack up his belongings in an orderly and quick manner, preparing to leave.

Alex pushed the door open at this moment. Seeing that Rain hadn't left the office yet, the colleague with platinum blond hair and honey-colored skin sighed with relief and said with a smile, "It's a good thing he hasn't left yet, otherwise you'd have to make another trip soon."

Rein frowned and asked, "What?"

"Something's up again, what else could it be?" Alex came over and patted his shoulder. "Come on, buddy, we're working overtime."

When Shi Yu received a message from Mr. Rein saying that he would need to work overtime today and would most likely be home late, she stared blankly for a moment, then hurriedly replied, "So, what time will you be home late?"

[Around nine or ten o'clock, no need to wait for me, you can go and rest first.]

[Please place the snacks on the table in the living room. I will taste them when I come back in the evening, or you can enjoy them by yourself.]

...Shi Yu's fingers paused on the terminal for a while. When she typed the three words "I'll wait for you..." in a trance, Lei Yin's terminal had already shown that the Do Not Disturb mode was turned on.

Shi Yu sat on the sofa in a daze for a while, then she ran to the kitchen, brought out the plate of snacks, placed it on the table, and carefully and cautiously covered it with plastic wrap.

If possible, Shi Yu thought, this is Mr. Rain's favorite snack... It's her first time making it, she wants to get Mr. Rain's evaluation, and then talk to him.

Shi Yu didn't send that sentence, but she did wait for Lei Yin until ten o'clock in the evening, or even later.

She fell asleep on the sofa in a daze and was woken up by the cold. She barely woke up and looked at the plate of dessert on the table for a long time, then slowly got up and returned to the room alone.

Shi Yu got up very early the next day. The villa was quiet. She got herself ready and hurried to the hall, only to find that the plate of food on the table was gone, as if someone had taken it away.

When Yu returned to the room again, he saw a message on the tablet from Officer Lei Yin at around five in the morning.

Lei Yin explained to her that he would be back late for the next two days and asked her to take care of herself. Shi Yu could tell from Lei Yin's tone and the fact that the villa was empty so early in the morning that he had already started working.

He didn't know when he came back last night, but he had to go to work again at this time.

[The dessert is delicious.}

——This is Rain’s last message.

A few days later, after Lei Yin finished his busy days, Shi Yu, who had hesitated and considered for a long time, finally made a decision.

"Mr. Rain." One night, Shigure finally spoke to Rain after a long time.

Facing the officer's icy blue eyes, Shi Yu pursed her lips and said slowly: "You said before... I can come back to the nursing home to visit my friends anytime."

"So," she said, "I'd like to ask you for leave these two days and stay in the nursing home for a few days."

The author has something to say:

It's completed. I made a minor patch in the previous part. Shi Yu was legally adopted into the Rein family, not under Rein's name. It was equivalent to the family guaranteeing Rein.

Sister Shigure is going to run back to her parents' home in grievance (? No)

——The above is just a joke. During the period of this adoption relationship, my sister will not develop any other feelings with Lei Yin except family affection.

(Because I read a comment that was too offensive, I also gave myself a patch. Whether writing or following a story, it is all for fun. You don’t need to tell the author if you quit.)
