"That's the specific situation. It will be Monday next week at the latest."
"Okay, I see. Thank you for your reminder. I will move out as soon as possible."
There was a busy tone on the phone, and the person on the other end had hung up.
Jiang Li turned off his phone and placed it on the living room table in front of him.
"call."
After taking a deep breath, Jiang Li pulled out the stool, stood up again, and began to examine the small house where he had lived for more than a year.
The house is very small, with only one bedroom and a living room, but compared to the deserted place when Jiang Li first moved in, it now feels a bit more cozy.
Jiang Li walked towards the only room. There was a flower basket hanging on the window as soon as he entered the door, with some pink and white gentian flowers on it.
Moving your eyes down, you will see the wooden bed against the corner of the wall and a black wooden table next to it.
A hint of confusion appeared on Jiang Li's pretty little face. The military training had ended half a month ago, and university life was proceeding in an orderly manner.
With Mo Jingchun's company, every day now seems to be colorful.
Mo Jingchun and Jiang Li chose the same self-study course, so they always stayed together during class at the university. When they had no classes, Mo Jingchun would accompany Jiang Li to read in the library.
Most of the time, Jiang Li was quietly reading ancient books, while Mo Jingchun was holding a book and looking at her quietly.
Time passed quietly, and Mo Jingchun just stared at Jiang Li, watching her fair little face turn red little by little.
Sometimes Jiang Li would turn his head quietly, but his eyes would meet Mo Jingchun's.
After a brief silence, the two smiled at each other, and an inexplicable tacit understanding filled the air.
Jiang Li shook his head and decided not to think about those things anymore. The most urgent thing was to pack up his things as soon as possible and then think about where to find a house.
Due to the welfare home’s regulations, children over the age of 18 are no longer eligible for shelter in the home and need to live on their own.
Jiang Li had no objection to this. Public welfare like this should be extended to younger orphans. Since she was already an adult, she naturally had to be self-reliant.
What's more, in a sense, it seemed that she had no right to be here from the beginning.
Jiang Li pulled out the suitcase from the corner, spread it flat on the ground, then opened the cabinet and began to pack his clothes.
Although there were not many clothes, there were still a few more than when he first moved in. In addition, he bought a series of things later. It took Jiang Li a long time to tidy up the things in his room.
She left her suitcase in the room and walked out into the living room.
"This is the next step."
Jiang Li calmed herself down, but before she could take any further action, there was a knock on the door.
"It's me, Jiang Li."
Mo Jingchun's cheerful voice came from outside the door. Today was Saturday and both of them had no classes. At this moment, he was carrying a small cake he bought outside.
Mo Jingchun smiled happily, as if he could already imagine how Jiang Li would look when he ate the cake later.
However, there was no sound from inside the door, as if there was no one inside.
Mo Jingchun frowned slightly. He knew that Jiang Li was not in the flower shop at the moment. He stretched out his finger and intended to knock on the door again.
Before he could knock on the door, the black door clicked and opened from the inside out.
"What are you doing at home?"
Mo Jingchun walked in and closed the door.
"No, nothing." Jiang Li's smile was a little stiff, with his hands behind his back, looking stiff.
"I bought you a small cake. Come and try it to see if it tastes good."
Mo Jingchun smiled and sat on a wooden chair beside him, placing the cake in his hand on the table.
"Jingchun," Jiang Li called softly, "What do you want to talk to me about?"
"What do you mean? Can't I come to you if nothing happens?"
Mo Jingchun stood up from his chair with his hands on his chest and a very dissatisfied look on his face. He approached Jiang Li and looked down at her.
Mo Jingchun loosened his hand and gently stroked the back of Jiang Li's head. His black hair passed through the gaps between his fingers, and his eyes became more gentle.
"Is there something you haven't told me?"
Mo Jingchun had already figured out Jiang Li's temper. Whenever something happened, she would never say anything and always wanted to solve it herself.
Fortunately, Jiang Li's disguise was not so perfect when he was around familiar people, and Mo Jingchun could always detect it.
"No, no."
Jiang Li took a step back, waving his hands and shaking his head, "Don't overthink it, it's nothing."
"No, there's something wrong with you."
Mo Jingchun touched his chin with his right hand and said in a firm tone.
"Let's eat the cake and don't leave it there for too long."
Jiang Li glanced at the cake on the table and quickly diverted the latter's attention.
But Mo Jingchun was not stupid. Seeing that Jiang Li refused to speak, he subconsciously looked around.
Without waiting for Jiang Li to react, he opened the door of her room, but saw the suitcase parked on the edge of the room.
"you……"
Jiang Li was standing at the door and had no time to stop Mo Jingchun, so he stopped there awkwardly.
Mo Jingchun looked around the room and found that everything inside had been put away. It looked like he was moving.
"What's going on?"
Mo Jingchun put away his smile, turned around, gently grabbed Jiang Li's shoulders with both hands and asked her.
"No, nothing, I just have nothing to do and want to clean up the room."
