The man was about forty or fifty years old, wearing a thick coat that fit him well and blocked out the wind and snow outside.
The expression on his face was indifferent, and the most eye-catching thing was the break at the peak of his brow.
Jiang Li froze, her brain clearly telling her that she didn't know the person in front of her at all.
But why does he have the key here?
The answer was obvious. Jiang Li came to the conclusion after just a little thought. The person in front of him was probably none other than Mo Jingchun's father - Mo Xu.
What is this? Meeting the parents in advance?
Jiang Li was a little panicked. Last winter, Mo Jingchun had told her that his mother's memorial day would be in the next few days.
Now that Mo Jingchun's father has come here, is it also to use the old scenery to mourn his deceased wife?
Jiang Li hurriedly stood up from her seat on the sofa. For a moment, she didn't know what to say and could only stand there at a loss.
Mo Xu was slightly stunned when he saw Jiang Li. He didn't seem to expect that a completely unfamiliar young girl would appear here.
But after a brief moment of daze, he glanced to the side again and noticed the signs of life here.
Mo Xu was a very capable person. He was in charge of a large group and he came to the conclusion after just a little thought.
He took a few steps forward, his coat swaying from side to side with his steps, looking extremely oppressive.
Jiang Li's lips turned pale, not knowing how to explain.
"Are you Jingchun's girlfriend?" Mo Xu didn't waste any words and directly expressed his inner guess.
"Uh-huh."
Jiang Li nodded blankly, and facing the powerful aura of Mo Jingchun's father in front of him, he swallowed quietly.
Mo Xu lowered his gaze and noticed Jiang Li's little action.
After a long silence, Mo Xu made a somewhat stiff smile, trying to make Jiang Libie nervous.
"When did you and Jingchun..."
Before Mo Xu could finish his words, a voice came from the door again. When Jiang Li heard the voice, he felt like he had found a savior and immediately looked towards the door.
Mo Jingchun just stood there, holding some dishes in his hands. It seemed that he really didn't plan to go back to celebrate the New Year's Eve.
Mo Jingchun stood at the door with an expressionless face. He looked very gloomy, and his eyes were staring straight at Mo Xu who was standing in the living room.
"Why are you here?" Mo Jingchun closed the door and put the dish in his hand on the table in front of him.
After doing all this, Mo Jingchun immediately walked to Jiang Li's side, stood between the two people, and cut off his father's gaze.
"Nothing." Mo Xu shook his head gently, his expression still calm. "I just wanted to come here to take a look, but I didn't expect you..."
Mo Xu pointed at Jiang Li behind Mo Jingchun and asked again, "When did you and this girl start?"
"Does it have anything to do with you?" Mo Jingchun said slowly.
Jiang Li felt a little awkward listening to this. The way these two talked and interacted didn't sound like father and son at all. Instead, they looked more like a pair of enemies who hadn't met for a long time.
This is why Mo Jingchun is unwilling to go back...
Jiang Li glanced at Mo Xu and thought to himself.
Mo Xu fell silent. He turned around and made a gesture to walk out the door.
Seeing that the situation was not right, Jiang Li gently pushed Mo Jingchun who was standing in front of her, but the latter stood firmly in place without moving, as if he had no intention of stopping her at all.
What is this?
Jiang Li walked around Mo Jingchun and reached out to gently grab the corner of Mo Xu's coat.
Mo Xu turned around and found that it was the little girl who grabbed his clothes.
Jiang Li had black hair draped over her shoulders and was wearing a white cotton jacket. Her beautiful eyes were staring straight at Mo Xu.
"Uncle, why don't you stay here for a while and wait until the snow and wind outside subside a little before leaving."
Mo Xu's eyes narrowed slightly. He didn't expect that this girl who looked a little timid just now would take the initiative to stop him.
Jiang Li's eyes were so penetrating that they seemed to be able to penetrate the soul.
Mo Xu nodded, walked to the table nearby, pulled out a chair and sat down.
Jiang Li finally breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this.
Jiang Li turned around and looked at Mo Jingchun, who was already sitting on the sofa. He turned his head to the window on the other side.
Just now, Mo Jingchun did not stop him. It seemed that although he and his father had conflicts, it had not reached an irreversible point.
Jiang Li didn't quite understand what kind of contradiction it was.
It was not long after noon at this moment. The father and son were sitting at the dining table, one sitting on the sofa on the other side. The shelf in the middle seemed to divide the space into two.
The father and son each took one of the seats and didn't speak to each other, as if they were incompatible. Jiang Li was passively placed between the two of them, feeling inexplicably awkward.
"Uncle, have you had lunch?" Jiang Li secretly glanced at Mo Jingchun, then asked Mo Xu.
After a brief hesitation, Mo Xu shook his head slightly.
"Then please wait a minute and I'll make you a bowl of noodles." After Jiang Li said that, he stood up from his seat, grabbed a pile of dishes that had been placed on the dining table, and walked towards the kitchen.
"Jiang Li, cook me a bowl too."
Mo Jingchun's voice came from the other end. Jiang Li nodded with his back to him, "Got it."
Jiang Li turned his back to the two of them, a smile slowly forming on the corner of his mouth. Why was Mo Jingchun still sulking like a child?
