Chapter 15 Poverty Assistance

Mo Jingchun looked curious. He happened to be feeling very depressed while playing basketball, so he simply left Xu Fan beside him and walked towards the office opposite.

"Hey, Jingchun, what are you doing? Why don't you fight anymore?"

Xu Fan, holding the basketball, shouted at Mo Jingchun who had already crossed half of the basketball court.

Mo Jingchun turned his back to Xu Fan and stretched out his hand, "I won't fight you anymore. You're too strong."

"Brat," Xu Fan cursed with a smile, then followed Mo Jingchun.

Mo Jingchun stopped when he saw Xu Fan following him, turned sideways and frowned at him, "Why are you following me?"

"Why not?" Xu Fan put his hand on Mo Jingchun's shoulder. "Alright, stop talking nonsense. I'll be bored too if you leave."

Seeing that he couldn't convince Xu Fan, Mo Jingchun simply took him with him. After all, they were both bored and there was no conflict.

The two walked shoulder to shoulder on the stairs of the teaching building, and many female classmates passing by secretly looked at them.

Mo Jingchun ignored him and took Xu Fan to the head teacher's office on the fourth floor, where he saw Teacher Liu sitting at the desk in the middle.

"What are you doing?"

Teacher Liu was organizing the documents on the table when two figures suddenly appeared beside him. He looked up and found that they were Mo Jingchun and a student he didn't know.

"Lao Liu, what did you do to my deskmate?"

Mo Jingchun went straight to the point and directly stated his inquiry.

"Why are you asking that?" Teacher Liu calmed himself down. "Don't discuss this with me for now. I haven't settled the score with you for your last few absences and lateness."

"It's okay, it's okay. I admit I talked a little too much just now."

Hearing what Teacher Liu said, Mo Jingchun immediately waved his hand and shook his head to indicate that he was not curious, then pulled Xu Fan and ran out of the office.

"What a guy," Teacher Liu shook his head. Mo Jingchun's academic performance was very good and he had always been among the top ten in the school, but he was very naughty, which was a headache for Teacher Liu.

Teacher Liu sighed, sorted out the information on subsidies for poor students that was buried under the textbooks, and put it aside.

As soon as he left the office, Xu Fan grabbed Mo Jingchun and said, "Okay, you told me you didn't like it, but now you're already caring about others like this."

Xu Fan stretched out his index finger and kept shaking it, pointing at Mo Jingchun in front of him, "When will you care about your good brother this much?"

"Go away and stop disgusting me."

Mo Jingchun pushed Xu Fan away helplessly, but the latter still grabbed one of Mo Jingchun's arms.

"Why are you like this in front of me?" Mo Jingchun held his forehead. "I told you I was bored, so I was curious and wanted to have some fun. If you don't believe me, forget it."

"I learned this from your sister." Xu Fan let go of his hand, looking righteous.

Hearing Xu Fan say this, Mo Jingchun glanced at him sideways and said, "Don't talk nonsense. Although my sister has some problems, it's not as serious as yours."

"Okay, okay, what are you going to do now?"

The two of them had already come downstairs while arguing, and the basketball court they had used before had already gathered another group of people playing basketball.

"I'm going back."

Seeing that the place was occupied, Mo Jingchun patted Xu Fan on the shoulder and walked towards the senior year department.

"Aren't we just going back like this?" Xu Fan shouted at Mo Jingchun's back, standing where he was. "It's still a while before evening study."

However, no matter how Xu Fan called out, Mo Jingchun still did not respond and walked firmly towards Class 407 of the senior high school department. Seeing this, Xu Fan could only sigh, shrugged his shoulders, and returned to his classroom with the basketball in his hand.

"Well, surprisingly he's not here."

Mo Jingchun returned to Class 407. At this moment, there were only a few people sitting in the classroom, and most of them were still in the cafeteria or outside the school.

Although he had never returned to the classroom so early, in Mo Jingchun's impression, no matter when he came back, his deskmate would always sit in the classroom. He didn't expect that even though he came back early this time, he still hadn't seen her.

At this time, Mo Jingchun noticed that there seemed to be a piece of paper on the other person's desk full of books, revealing a little white mark.

Mo Jingchun pulled out the paper without any hesitation, and what caught his eye were a few big words.

Subsidy for poor students.

The content on this paper was somewhat beyond Mo Jingchun's expectations. No wonder Lao Liu went to find Jiang Li. It turned out that it was for this matter.

Before this, Mo Jingchun had never heard much about subsidies for poor students. After all, most of the students who could come to Hangzhou No. 3 Middle School came from relatively good families.

Mo Jingchun's gaze continued to move downwards, and he saw the name of his deskmate Jiang Li at the back.

She is a poor student...

Mo Jingchun calmly stuffed the form for the subsidy for poor students back to its original place.

After he finished all this, Jiang Li just returned to the classroom from outside. After seeing Mo Jingchun, Jiang Li was stunned at first but quickly returned to normal and began to open the book beside him and read.

However, Jiang Li didn't read for long before a burning gaze from the person beside her interrupted her. She put down the book in her hand and turned to look at Mo Jingchun.

"What's up?"

Mo Jingchun looked at Jiang Li, who had an expressionless face, and shook his head. "It's okay."

Mo Jingchun withdrew his gaze and turned it to the sky outside the window.

He thought of the bicycle from back then. No wonder Jiang Li reacted like that after hearing that the bicycle couldn't be repaired. It turned out that she was a poor student...

Mo Jingchun hated owing favors to others the most. He was the one who got noticed in that incident, but the loss was caused by Jiang Li.

No, even if Jiang Li doesn't need compensation from me, I must compensate her with the bicycle.

At least, you can't take advantage of her.

Mo Jingchun had made up his mind when the bell rang outside, signaling the start of evening self-study.

Time is passing and the sky is getting darker.

The two of them sat together in the corner of Class 407. Mo Jingchun opened the window, and the night wind blew in, blowing his bangs and also ruffling Jiang Li's hair.

The books standing between the two of them seemed to draw a line between them, but despite this, the wind still passed through them and blew onto Jiang Li.

After a long time, Mo Jingchun withdrew his gaze and returned to the test paper on the table. He took out a pen and quickly wrote his name.

Class 407 was very quiet, with only the sound of pen tips touching paper.

Tomorrow is Saturday afternoon, so they can take a day off and come back on Monday morning.

Similarly, Mo Jingchun has also figured out how to compensate Jiang Li. He plans to bring his best friend Xu Fan along tomorrow afternoon.
