Chapter 178 The Moon on the Balcony

“Crack.”

The door to the second floor of the flower shop was opened, and Jiang Li took Mo Jingchun into her home in Dongchang.

"Director, go back!"

As soon as the door opened, an orange shadow appeared, and Jiang Li quickly blocked it.

Mo Jingchun stood behind Jiang Li and saw clearly that it was a fat orange cat.

"Meow~"

The orange cat, whom Jiang Li called "Director", opened its mouth and made a coquettish cry, then rubbed its head against Jiang Li's feet.

When Mo Jingchun saw this scene, a smile appeared on his lips. Jiang Li liked small animals as always.

Jiang Li half-knelt down, hugged the fat director with both hands, and walked in first.

Mo Jingchun followed closely and closed the door behind him.

“Woof woof woof!”

"Meow!"

As soon as Mo Jingchun entered, he heard a threatening growl. His eyes swayed for a while and finally locked onto a very large German Shepherd leaning next to Jiang Li.

At this moment, the German Shepherd was baring its teeth, with a threatening look in its eyes. It subconsciously prepared to protect its owner, Mo Jingchun, the stranger who suddenly broke into the house.

"Don't scream, Doubao, this is my friend."

Jiang Li held the director with one hand, and with his free hand he touched Doubao's dog head and pushed it to the other side.

"Woof woof."

After hearing what his master said, Doubao immediately stopped growling, and the fierce look on his face turned into a well-behaved one.

It followed Jiang Li, wagging its tail like a big broom.

"Meow!"

But the sharp cat cry did not stop, instead it gradually approached Mo Jingchun.

Since there was no light in the house at the moment, the lighting was not good and Mo Jingchun could not see the owner of the voice.

“Pah.”

Jiang Li turned on the lights in the living room, and Mo Jingchun realized that there was a black cat standing on the cabinet next to him. No wonder he hadn't seen it before; it had hidden in the night.

The black cat arched its body and stretched out its claws that were hidden in the cushion, as if it would pounce on Mo Jingchun in the next second.

"Ah Xuan, come here too."

"Meow."

After hearing Jiang Li's call, the black cat named A Xuan immediately stopped angry and jumped lightly to the sofa in the living room on the other side and came to Jiang Li's side.

Mo Jingchun glanced at the second floor and found that its overall layout was somewhat similar to where the two of them lived.

Mo Jingchun withdrew his gaze and walked towards the sofa in the living room.

At this moment, Jiang Li had a German Shepherd squatting at his feet, wagging its tail constantly, and a fat orange cat lying in his arms. As for the black cat, it was lying on the sofa above Jiang Li's head.

It seems that Jiang Li has two cats and a dog.

Mo Jingchun noticed the balcony next to him. Although it was closed at the moment, he could still see the flower pots placed there through the glass.

In the lush greenery, there are flowers of various colors dotted around. They bathe in the moonlight, as if competing to grow.

Jiang Li was indeed not lying, she seemed to be living a really good life, but Mo Jingchun knew that it was definitely not that easy to achieve everything in the city of Dongchang.

Just opening this flower shop must have been a huge challenge for Jiang Li, who had nothing at the time and was coming here for the first time.

Over the years, she has silently suffered a lot before finally reaching the state she appears in front of Mo Jingchun today.

During the six years that Mo Jingchun was absent from Jiang Li, they both grew up silently, but there were many things that were no longer related to each other.

Even without me, Jiang Li can still live a good life.

Mo Jingchun looked at Jiang Li and the cats and dogs beside her and smiled again.

Jiang Li, who was playing with the cat, noticed Mo Jingchun's smile. She pushed away the director who was leaning on her and looked at Mo Jingchun, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Mo Jingchun smiled and shook his head, "You are still as popular with the little animals as before."

"Yeah?"

Jiang Li smiled softly. She bent down and touched Doubao's big head. "Doubao, isn't that right?"

The atmosphere relaxed for a moment. Although the two people were sitting in the same place, they seemed to have nothing to say.

Jiang Li focused his attention on his pets.

"It's getting late. I'm going back first."

Mo Jingchun stood up. It was already around ten o'clock in the evening, and he walked towards the door.

"I'll take you out."

Jiang Li did not try to persuade him to stay, but nodded, took Mo Jingchun downstairs and came to the door of the flower shop.

"Be good at home."

Jiang Li turned around and spoke to Ah Xuan, the director and Dou Bao who wanted to go out with her, and locked them in the room.

Mo Jingchun walked in front, and Jiang Li followed behind him.

Although there was no conflict when the two met again, they remained silent tacitly and walked to the door of the flower shop in silence.

Just when Mo Jingchun was about to leave, he stopped and slowly turned around.

The moon was right above his head, and the moonlight illuminated half of his face, casting a thin shadow.

Jiang Li's long black eyelashes drooped downwards, and she also stopped where she was.

"We'll meet again tomorrow, right?"

Mo Jingchun said this vaguely, not seeming to be asking Jiang Li, but as if he was talking to himself.

Jiang Li didn't say anything. She neither lowered her head nor dodged. Instead, she looked into Mo Jingchun's eyes.
