Chapter 180 What You Need

Early in the morning, Mo Jingchun got up early, but he did not go towards the Xingfu Flower Shop. Instead, he went to Shuilu Town alone.

Thanks to the excellent natural conditions, Shuulu Town had already had the habit of planting flower fields before Mo Jingchun invested.

But also because of his investment, flower cultivation in the area became large-scale.

This is an investment that will take a long time to show returns, and Zhongding Group has hundreds of similar projects in its pipeline.

The project had actually ended, but perhaps out of selfishness, or because he met Jiang Li again, Mo Jingchun did not leave immediately.

After arriving in Shuilu Town, it was Chen Liang who received Mo Jingchun again.

After walking through the endless flower fields, it was noon and Chen Liang invited Mo Jingchun to have dinner at his home.

Although Mo Jingchun said that no special preparation was needed, Chen Liang still happily cooked a large table of dishes.

At the dinner table, apart from Mo Jingchun, there were only Chen Liang, his daughter Chen Qian, and his father.

As for Chen Qian's mother, when Mo Jingchun asked about it, Chen Liang just smiled helplessly on his honest face.

It turned out that six or seven years ago, a landslide took the life of Chen Qian's mother.

After Mo Jingchun received the news, he was speechless for a moment and subconsciously looked at Chen Qian who was secretly watching him beside him.

There was no excessive sadness on Chen Qian's face, as if she didn't care at all. After dinner, she ran to the flower field at the entrance of the courtyard to play alone.

After lunch, Chen Liang began to clean up the dishes, while Mo Jingchun walked out of the courtyard and came to the flower field at the door.

He stood very straight, his eyes gazing at the colorful flowers around him, and finally his gaze stopped on a small figure.

With the same emotion, Mo Jingchun began to walk towards Chen Qian.

"What are you doing?"

Mo Jingchun looked down at Chen Qian who was squatting in the flower field in front of him and asked.

Chen Qian turned around, revealing the insect in his hand. Perhaps remembering his father's instructions, Chen Qian began to speak.

"I'm catching bugs for fun."

"Catching bugs for fun?" Mo Jingchun noticed that the girl in front of him seemed a little different.

This is also a child who lost his mother. Perhaps out of sympathy, or perhaps he was just expressing his feelings, Mo Jingchun reached out and wanted to touch Chen Qian's head.

But Chen Qian quickly stepped back and avoided Mo Jingchun's touch on the head.

"I don't like you."

Chen Qian puffed up her lips in anger and threw the insect she had just caught at Mo Jingchun.

"Um?"

Mo Jingchun raised an eyebrow and brushed off the bugs on his body. "Why? This should only be our second meeting, right?"

"Because of you, because of you..."

Chen Qian put her hands on her hips and thought for a long time, but she couldn't seem to come up with an accurate reason.

"Because, because Sister Jiang Li ran away as soon as she saw you. You must not be a good person, otherwise how could this happen?"

After holding it in for a long time, Chen Qian finally expressed her thoughts, but she soon realized that she had been exposed and quickly covered her mouth.

"Sister Jiang Li," Mo Jingchun showed a threatening expression on his face. He took a sudden step forward, scaring Chen Qian in front of him to tremble.

"Why? Do you know her?"

"Hmph! I will never betray Sister Jiang Li." Chen Qian turned her face to the other side, but her eyes were looking towards Mo Jingchun.

There was some curiosity in his eyes, as if he wanted to find out why Sister Jiang Li left in such a hurry that day.

Mo Jingchun was good-looking, Chen Qian's face was slightly flushed, and Sister Jiang Li and the man in front of her seemed inexplicably well-matched. It was a strange feeling, as if they were meant to be this way.

"So, you lied that night."

Mo Jingchun squatted down, his eyes parallel to Chen Qian's, "Lying is not a good habit."

"Huh, who said that? Sometimes white lies are good too."

Chen Qian said unconvincedly, "If the truth will bring sadness, then why not cover it up with a lie? You can still live a happy life this way."

The smile on Mo Jingchun's face froze, and his peach blossom eyes stared straight at Chen Qian.

"You, what do you want?"

Chen Qian was frightened by Mo Jingchun's gaze. She took two steps back, increasing the distance between them again.

"Nothing," Mo Jingchun smiled and put his hand on his forehead, "I just didn't expect a kid like you to say something like that."

"Don't underestimate me, I'm very strong."

Chen Qian said with a smile, "But, what is your relationship with Sister Jiang Li?"

"What kind of relationship?" Mo Jingchun's eyes turned slightly, "Probably, we're just friends."

"Why didn't you say so earlier?"

Chen Qian instantly let go of her previous defenses. She walked to Mo Jingchun's side, stretched out her delicate little hand and patted his shoulder. "It's okay then. Sister Jiang Li's friends are my friends. When you come to Shuilu Town next time, tell me my name, Chen Qian, and I'll protect you."

"Is this true?"

Mo Jingchun did not expose her, but cooperated with her in the play.

"That's right," Chen Qian said nonchalantly, "A child without a mother can only be strong on his own."

"Aren't you sad?"

Mo Jingchun didn't expect that Chen Qian in front of him would take the initiative to talk about the pain in her heart.

"I'm not sad," Chen Qian reached out and pulled out the weeds next to the flower field. "My mother is watching me from heaven. I can't cry. I just want to live happily every day."
