Chapter 22 Library Duty

As the bell for the last class rang, the weekend vacation that the students had been looking forward to began.

Teacher Liu finished explaining the precautions for the holidays as usual and distributed cell phones to the boarding students. Then everyone left the classroom in groups of two or three.

In just a short while, only a few scattered people were left in the originally bustling classroom.

"It's our turn to be on duty this week." Mo Jingchun leaned against the wall next to him and said to Jiang Li.

Jiang Li nodded, stood up and picked up the broom and other cleaning tools from the sanitary corner opposite.

Mo Jingchun stood up and picked up the mop leaning against the opposite wall.

The two men walked out of the classroom with different tools and headed towards an old teaching building near the wall in the corner of Hangzhou No. 3 Middle School.

This teaching building was previously a classroom for repeaters, but now it has been converted into a classroom for students' special courses.

There are professional musical instruments used in music classes, as well as various interest and hobby classes, microcomputer classes, etc.

On the top floor of this teaching building is the only library of Hangzhou No. 3 Middle School.

In fact, before this, many places in No. 3 Middle School were called libraries. However, due to the adjustment of grades and students and the planning of new teaching areas, many book corners were abandoned. Finally, it was decided to set up the library of No. 3 Middle School on the top floor of this old teaching building.

Class 407 of Grade 3 is responsible for the sanitation of the library, which is carried out once a week. This week, it is Jiang Li and Mo Jingchun's turn in their class.

Mo Jingchun opened the wooden door of the library and after walking inside, he could smell a very distinct scent of books.

It was the smell of paper and ink mixed with the scent of insect-resistant camphor leaves.

This floor has been converted into a book corner. The overall space is quite large, but there are very few students who actually come here to read on weekdays, so it only needs to clean the dust once a week.

"I'll go over there," Mo Jingchun picked up his mop and soaked it in the bucket of water placed beside him.

Jiang Li had no objection. She walked through the rows of bookshelves, went to the corner, and began to sweep the dust.

The afterglow of the setting sun poured into the library, creating a Tyndall effect. The cello music that the school usually played after school in the afternoon also sounded very appropriately at this moment.

Accompanied by the melodious cello music on the radio and the setting sun, Jiang Li looked at the afterglow of the window in front of him and unconsciously revealed a happy expression.

There is a window in the middle of each wall-mounted bookshelf for lighting.

Jiang Li cleaned the dust where the first window was and went through the bookshelf to the second floor, but here she saw a strange thing.

It was a ball of gray cloth, huddled in the corner of the bookshelf, shaking constantly. If you got closer, you could almost hear the sound.

Jiang Li took two gentle steps forward, trying to distinguish the sound he heard.

"Hehe, this is a forbidden magic spell, you low-level demons, you'll all be doomed once I, the Holy Grace Radiant Ending Wheel Dancer Knight, learn it."

After hearing the noise coming from the front, a big question arose in Jiang Li's mind: What is this strange thing?

Jiang Li shook his head, put down the broom in his hand, walked closer to the gray cloth, grabbed one corner of it and lifted it up.

Under the gray cloth, a girl in school uniform and a red wig was squatting.

"You, you, you... who are you? How dare you interrupt the training of my Holy Grace Radiant Ending Wheel Dancer Knight?"

After the gray cloth covering the girl was lifted, she stood up from the ground in a panic and pointed at Jiang Li.

"I..." Jiang Li had never seen such a gesture before and was speechless for a moment. "I didn't mean it."

Seeing that Jiang Li did not show any strange emotions, but apologized obediently, the girl became confident again, and the panic on her face disappeared.

"I think you are the waiter who comes to clean the Holy Library." The girl saw the broom next to Jiang Li and said to her.

"Ah?" Jiang Li was a little confused. He just came here to sweep the assigned area, but how could he become the messenger of the Holy Library inexplicably?

"Hey, girl, don't be nervous. As your senior, I can..." The girl lifted up her school uniform, revealing a black short-sleeved shirt covered with various retro medals.

Before the girl could finish her words, Mo Jingchun's voice came from behind them.

"Mo Ling? Why are you here?"

Mo Ling and Jiang Li subconsciously looked in the direction of Mo Jingchun, who was walking towards them with a wet mop.

"Waiter," Mo Ling's expression became anxious after seeing Mo Jingchun, "I'm injured now, and I urgently need you to buy me some time."

"What?" Jiang Li was grabbed by Mo Ling and stood in front of her, blocking Mo Jingchun from moving forward.

"Mo Ling, why are you still here after school? And what's with that red hair on your head?"

"I, I, I...but the end of Holy Grace..."

"Stop, stop, stop," Mo Jingchun stretched out his hands to make a pause gesture. "You've been suffering from this Chuunibyou thing for years. Can you please stop saying that nickname of yours?"

"Waltz Knight," Mo Ling, hiding behind Jiang Li, quietly completed her title. After hearing her brother's words, she retorted unwillingly, "I'm not a chuunibyou. I'm the embodiment of light. How could a mortal like you know that..."

"Hmm?" Mo Jingchun raised his eyebrows and acted angry.

Mo Ling immediately lowered his head and called Mo Jingchun "Brother" with a humble look.
