Mo Jingchun and Jiang Li got off the subway in the last few minutes and arrived at the other end of the city.
Jiang Li got off the subway station and took a deep breath of air. Unlike the place she had been before, the air here was very humid and the cool breeze felt on her face, which was very comfortable.
"Let's go," Mo Jingchun pulled Jiang Li a little, "We haven't reached the destination yet."
The two walked to the side of the road, and Mo Jingchun reached out to stop a taxi.
"Where are you going, young man?"
The driver was a middle-aged man in his 40s with a chubby face that looked very gentle. A small red national flag was flying in front of his car.
"Go to Blue Bay Fishery, Master."
Mo Jingchun lowered the back seat window as he spoke.
"Why are you still going to that place so late?" the driver said as he started the car.
With the successful ignition, the car engine often made a slight sound. The vehicle started and drove forward for a while, then turned and drove east.
"You two young lovers are so romantic, but you must be careful when you get there." The driver turned the steering wheel while reminding the two people in the back seat.
"Master, we are not lovers." Jiang Li explained.
"Hey, why are you so shy?" The driver didn't believe Jiang Li's words. He just continued to say with some concern, "When we get there, tell your boyfriend to be careful and not to be too stubborn."
Jiang Li stopped talking. She chose to lean quietly on the other side of the car seat. Mo Jingchun also leaned on the other side. Both of their car windows were open. The night wind blew in from outside, blowing their hair.
The two of them leaned against the back door tacitly, as if there was an invisible barrier between them.
The driver looked through the rearview mirror and saw that the two were not talking and were so far away from each other. He couldn't help but wonder if the young couple had a quarrel.
Jiang Li didn't know where she was now. After all, since she came to Hangzhou, she had only been active in the Seventh Welfare Home and around the school. She was completely unfamiliar with this city.
At this moment, she leaned her head against the car window, the quiet night reflected in her deep eyes.
Tall buildings were rapidly receding, and countless artificial light sources emitted colorful lights at night. They turned into lighthouses, quickly passing through Jiang Li's eyes, leaving only faint traces, and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
They are fireflies at night that will go out when day comes.
The driver drove neither fast nor slow, and the night breeze was gentle with a slightly moist scent.
Jiang Li's hair was blown into a mess. Outside the car window was a gradually expanding scene in the distance, but his mood was inexplicably peaceful.
The sound of music came from beside me.
Jiang Li grabbed the car door, propped himself up, and looked to the side.
Mo Jingchun had changed his posture at some point, now leaning against the car door, his left arm resting on the window. Half of his face was shrouded in the moonlight, while the other half remained hidden in the shadows of the car.
His hair was flying everywhere, and his three-dimensional facial features cast a faint shadow. His whole posture looked as lazy as a cat, with the corners of his mouth raised in a smile. His peach blossom eyes seemed to reflect light as he stared motionlessly at Jiang Li who finally turned around.
Mo Jingchun held a mobile phone in his right hand, on which a CD playing a song was spinning.
After a brief gaze, the two of them simultaneously looked away from each other.
Mo Jingchun looked out the car window, and Jiang Li resumed his previous actions. Neither of them spoke.
From the time I came out of the subway station until now, the time that has passed has reached the early morning of the next day. Perhaps because we are far away from the city center, people here have already fallen asleep, and only a few busy vehicles are still on the road.
Some people are destined to go to bed early, while others still have to drag their tired bodies through the ever-changing world.
Jiang Li did not feel tired. His heart, which was fragile, soft, pretending to be strong, and yet had a little bit of darkness, became calm and peaceful.
The night wind blew on his body, and a peaceful song was playing in his ears. Jiang Li's mind was empty, letting his thoughts drift into the passing night wind and blend into this night.
It was a piece of pure music, without lyrics, only gentle guitar sounds. The song title was a string of English words, which Jiang Li did not see clearly.
The brakes sounded and the entire vehicle shook slightly before stopping.
"We're here, Blue Bay Fishery." The driver turned on the meter on the side and reminded the two people in the back seat at the same time.
Mo Jingchun opened the backstage and paid the fare neatly, then got out of the car with Jiang Li.
"Let me warn you," the driver, somewhat worried, shouted through the front window at the two people walking forward, "Be careful at night."
The two had already walked far away and did not hear what the driver said. The driver shook his head and stepped on the accelerator and left.
"Clatter, clatter."
Before arriving at the destination, Jiang Li had already heard the sound of the tide, which was the sound caused by the influence of weak tidal force.
Mo Jingchun put away the music, took Jiang Li's arm, changed direction, and walked under the road.
There were no tall buildings in sight at the Blue Bay Fishing Ground, and they seemed to have arrived at the edge of the city.
What time is it now? Jiang Li doesn't want to know.
There are some green plants planted under the road, as well as some scattered stones with slippery green moss growing on them.
"It's too late. We probably can't get in now." Mo Jingchun said while leaning against a wall. At the same time, he turned his head and looked at Jiang Li next to him. "Can you climb over the wall?"
Jiang Li nodded.
"That's easy," Mo Jingchun said as he found a few red bricks nearby. He took Jiang Li and walked forward a few steps as if they were familiar with the place. Soon, a half-person-high earthen slope appeared in front of them.
Mo Jingchun placed bricks on the slope, and the wall that seemed unreachable at first suddenly became full of possibilities.
Mo Jingchun planned to let Jiang Li go up first and then he would cover the rear, so he made way for him and asked, "Do you need me to help hold you up?"
Jiang Li shook his head. Although his body had changed, the skills he had learned remained the same. Although he could not climb over walls as often, he still knew how to do it.
Mo Jingchun raised his hands. Jiang Li had already stepped onto the slope and the bricks, and he was following behind to prevent the latter from falling accidentally.
Jiang Li was not tall enough, but he nimbly grabbed the concave gap in the wall and then exerted force to climb up the wall.
After climbing up the wall, Jiang Li understood why Mo Jingchun wanted her to go up first.
Because on the other side of the wall, a concrete platform appeared in sight, and now all he had to do was jump onto it to complete the climb over the wall.
Jiang Li didn't stop for too long. He landed lightly on the concrete platform and then jumped down.
Mo Jingchun moved quickly. After seeing Jiang Li succeed, he also climbed over the wall. The two of them officially arrived at the Blue Bay Fishery.
