Chapter 6 Abandonment

Jiang Li's left cheek was burning. Bai Cheng's strength was very great. If she hadn't been sitting on a stool, that slap would have probably sent her flying.

Jiang Li subconsciously touched the corner of his mouth and found that it was cracked and blood was flowing out.

Jiang Li curled up, her father's words echoing in her ears.

The reaction of her family was like a steel needle piercing her heart, and her sensitive self-esteem seemed to be cut into several pieces as if it was being tortured.

Jiang Li had no choice but to endure it silently.

…………

Time passed quickly, and in the blink of an eye, Jiang Li had been back home for a week.

Despite staying at home for a week, her situation had not improved at all, but was getting worse.

Because of her physical changes, many neighbors who knew her family spread the rumor that there was a monster in their family who had transformed from a boy into a girl.

Jiang Li's family lived in a small town. In such a place, good news doesn't travel far, but bad news travels a thousand miles. In just a few days, it became known to everyone.

This made her father Bai Cheng, who already hated her, want to teach her a lesson every time he saw her.

Not only that, this change also affected other people in the family. Even her brother Bai Ye, who used to care about her a little, began to distance himself from her.

The only thing that remains unchanged may be my grandmother.

Just when Jiang Li thought she could get through this kind of life by enduring it, the emotions that everyone had suppressed for so long burst out that night.

Because of what happened last time, Jiang Li didn't dare to eat with everyone. He usually waited until they finished eating before coming down to eat, and then washed everyone's bowls together.

But this time, Jiang Li happened to meet Bai Cheng who had just returned from outside.

His face looked very ugly. Recently, people in the town looked at him with strange eyes. Bai Cheng knew very well that it was all because of a bad luck in his family.

So, when he saw Jiang Li that night, he finally couldn't control his emotions and beat Jiang Li severely by pressing her head.

Jiang Li's crying attracted the attention of everyone in the family, including Bai Ye, Bai Lu, uncle, aunt, and almost everyone except grandma who could not move came downstairs.

But no one who came down tried to stop the fight. They just watched with cold eyes as Jiang Li was beaten by Bai Cheng.

These days, not only Bai Cheng was fed up, but others could not stand the strange looks from neighbors.

They all thought of the paternity test at the same time. Perhaps the Jiang Li in front of them was not the family member they knew, but an imposter.

Bai Cheng had had enough of fighting, so he sat on the chair and stopped talking.

Jiang Li fell to the ground, gasping for breath. Her arms and thighs were bruised by the beating Bai Cheng had just given her, and the corner of her mouth was broken again.

"Jiang Li, please leave. This is not your home."

Bai Ye looked down at Jiang Li from above and spoke to her with a cold expression.

"You...what did you say?"

Jiang Li suspected that she had heard it wrong. She raised her head with a look of disbelief.

"Go away. This is not your home. No one will keep you here. Don't make me say it again."

Bai Ye's words were still ruthless, and the people around him looked at Jiang Li lying on the ground with indifference.

Jiang Li fell to the ground without moving, her face becoming paler and paler. As for the others, they no longer paid any attention to her and went upstairs.

"Damn fake, don't let me see you tomorrow."

Bai Cheng spat at Jiang Li fiercely when he passed by her, then went upstairs.

Jiang Li didn't know how long she had been lying on the ground. She only knew that when she got up, the town was completely quiet without a sound.

The dim moonlight shone through the window onto Jiang Li's face, but there was no light in those beautiful eyes at this moment.

Suddenly, Jiang Li laughed again.

Jiang Li was laughing and crying at the same time. She suddenly felt like she was a lunatic. When she was in the ward, she laughed for no apparent reason. Now that she was about to be abandoned, she was still laughing.

She is Bai Hao, not Jiang Li. But her family members don't want to call her Bai Hao and still call her by this name.

It turns out that I really am the superfluous person.

It turns out that I have caused so much trouble to my family.

It turns out that every member of my family hates me from the bottom of their hearts.

Jiang Li understood that she was just being wishful thinking. She was not accepted from the beginning. After all, who could accept a boy becoming a girl?

This kind of thing may be acceptable in novels, but if it happens in reality, who can accept it?

People will just look at you strangely and silently call you a monster behind your back.

"Well……"

Jiang Li laughed and suddenly knelt on the ground, pinching his chest with both hands, feeling waves of cramps coming from inside.

The severe pain made her curl up like a cooked shrimp. After a long time, the pain began to slowly dissipate.

Jiang Li gritted her teeth and climbed up from the ground. She walked up to the second floor step by step, tears streaming from the corners of her eyes like broken strings.

She pushed open the glass door on the second floor and walked into the room where her grandmother was.

Before being completely abandoned, she planned to say goodbye to her grandmother one last time.

Grandma has a poor sleep habit. Even at this time, when everyone else is asleep, she remains awake.

After Jiang Li entered the room, grandma had already opened her eyes.
