Chapter 237: Problems with Eyes

Wei Zhao, Yolanda and Jesse left the control room and brought a group of exploration team soldiers to the observation room above the preparation room.

Although they are all soldiers equipped with mechas in the alliance army, they are unable to participate in the battle against the Star Beast. Not only is the configuration attribute of their mechas biased towards detection functions and they are not equipped with halberd-killing guns, but also with their daily training, they simply do not have the strength to fight against the Star Beast.

The atmosphere in the viewing room was somewhat silent.

Wei Zhao opened the virtual screen on the wall and looked at the silent young soldiers. "In less than twenty-seven minutes, Alex and the Alienated Star Beast will officially clash. Here, we can watch the entire battle unfold. This is a rare opportunity."

As soon as the virtual screen lit up, it immediately displayed the scene in the preparation room. Rows of special mechas equipped with halberd-killing guns stood solemnly, and black metal spears stood upright on the ground. The spear shafts were straight and not bent, thin but not soft, and the blade edge of the spear tip was slightly glowing with a dark golden cold light.

In fact, although the reconnaissance soldiers present called themselves veterans and most of them had been in the Alliance Military for three years, when they were on missions in these years, they only saw another battleship fighting with the Star Beast (Harmony) from a distance. No one could help but get excited when watching that scene.

Many people couldn't help but feel envious when they saw the special mecha on the screen, including Shi Yuqing and others who were sandwiched among the soldiers.

"Alright! Everybody, buck up!" Jesse was getting irritated by the depressing atmosphere. He stood in front of the screen with his sturdy body and waved his hands, barely blocking a large number of mechas. "What the hell! What's wrong with the mutant star beasts? We haven't even started the real battle yet, and they're all acting like cowards!"

"Bow your heads, bow your heads, bow your heads!" Jesse stepped forward and slapped each of the three soldiers who bowed their heads. "Are you quails?! We are Alliance soldiers. Show us your courage!"

He turned around and pointed at the virtual screen behind him, his eyes sweeping over the quail soldiers in front of him with disdain, "Look! Those are the real men. It's them who will be fighting later, not you!"

The quail soldiers raised their heads quietly in shame, and when they saw the orderly and calm security guards on the screen, their faces suddenly turned red.

"Don't forget the oath you took on the day you became Alliance soldiers." Yolanda stood aside and said coldly.

The soldiers who were beaten repeatedly raised their heads with red faces. The silence in the observation room was broken and the original gloomy atmosphere gradually dissipated.

Jesse snorted coldly, "They look pretty good!" Then he glanced at the newborn chicks behind him. This sight made him angry again.

Perhaps the veterans immediately informed the newbies about the powerful killing power of the mutated star beasts. Although Qiu Er and Arken, who were standing in his team, raised their heads at this moment, they could not hide the panic on their faces.

Originally, it was good enough for the freshmen to be able to do this, but the scary thing was the comparison. Standing on their left were Sphinx, Luo Tian and Jin Li from Yolanda's team, with such calm expressions on their faces.

That would be fine, but look at the three little girls standing on their right, each one calmer than the other.

Jesse thought of the battles he had seen in the control room before, and then recalled the scene when he was scrambling to pick someone in the beginning, and felt quite uncomfortable.

Could it be that there's something wrong with his eyes? ...
