Chapter 6: Quite Principled
Her voice was a little faint.
"Ah, I figured since we were going to stay here anyway, I might as well find someone to keep us company." Chen Yiyang didn't notice the change in her tone and said with a grin, "Cheng Yu lives across from you and happens to be the last one here, so he became our victim."
The people he called last night were all his brothers, and they all had a good relationship.
Cheng Yu didn't like being disturbed when he was sleeping, and he was a little grumpy when he got up, so I simply didn't call him.
Zhou Zhou said "oh" slowly.
Only when the word "KO" appeared on the TV screen did Cheng Yu move his legs and casually throw the handle aside.
His body sank further, almost half lying on the ground.
When he looked up at her, his eyebrows were raised, but there was no expression. As if the action was a bit tiring, he shook his head and casually scratched his messy hair before standing up from the ground.
"What do you think it was, that you stayed just to get some sleep?"
Cheng Yu forced a smile and said in a voice that only the two of them could hear, "You're not on me, so how can you be so proud of yourself?"
Chen Yiyang didn't hear it, but Cheng Yu could hear the frost in her voice, just like the falling snow outside.
Zhou Zhou thought he was quite vindictive.
He returned exactly what she had said, which was a bit like a tit-for-tat.
He passed her by, not bothering to put on his shoes, his bare feet treading on the plush carpet.
Strolling leisurely in the garden, his silk trousers swayed slightly under his unhurried movements. Zhou Zhou could see his tall and straight figure by turning his head.
Zhou Zhou found it inexplicably funny.
Chen Yiyang was urging them over there: "Hurry up, I'm busy running around here like a housewife for you, why don't you eat more actively? Are you waiting for me to stuff your mouths with food?"
Cheng Yu pulled out a chair and sat down, smiling lazily: "I don't have this habit."
Chen Yiyang punched him on the shoulder and scolded him with a smile: "Get lost, don't take advantage of me."
He was too lazy to share the cooked instant noodles, so he put them all in a big bowl and gave the other two small bowls to them.
Cheng Yu took the bowl but didn't pick up his chopsticks immediately. Instead, he frowned and looked at Chen Yiyang: "You're leaving me here, are you planning to let me eat instant noodles for half a month?"
Chen Yiyang raised his voice confidently: "There are vegetables in the refrigerator. If you can cook, do it yourself."
Cheng Yu: “No.”
When their eyes fell on him, Zhou Zhou raised his hands to show his innocence: "Don't look at me, I have never had any affinity with the kitchen since I was a child."
Chen Yiyang sighed softly.
The three of them were paired up, and they knew they would probably face a difficult half month.
For the three spoiled young ladies and young master, they never had to touch water, and eating a bowl of hot instant noodles in winter was a luxury.
"It seems like American food suits your taste. You don't have to fend for yourself." Chen Yiyang put the egg into her bowl and asked casually, "Does Carl cook for you?"
Zhou Zhou glanced at him speechlessly: "Please, there are housekeepers in the United States, okay? Also, I don't bring men home."
On this point, she made a clear distinction.
In order to avoid unnecessary trouble, she never brings men home, and when they leave, they leave completely.
Chen Yiyang touched his nose, feeling that she was secretly mocking him.
Who doesn’t know that Chen Yiyang is a man who travels all over the world, owns more than a dozen houses in Beijing, and can bring women home at will?
He curled his lips and snorted softly: "You are quite principled."
Then he turned to Cheng Yu and asked, "Did you throw Jiang Yuan out last night? Jiang Yuan is beautiful, passionate, and you couldn't get her. What were you thinking?"
"I didn't think much about it." Cheng Yu said simply.
He likes to play, but he doesn't like to comment on women.
When men get together, they inevitably talk about women. Using women as a topic of conversation at dinner tables and drinking parties is commonplace, and Cheng Yu usually just listens, not saying a word or offering any opinions.
Chen Yiyang and Cheng Yu had known each other for a long time and knew his temperament, so he said, "If I didn't know you were a wild and unrestrained person, I would have thought you liked pure love."
Cheng Yu tutted his words and said, "I look like a gigolo. Do I have to serve women when they come?"
Chen Yiyang choked when he asked: "..."
He never refuses anyone who is good-looking.
According to Cheng Yu, is he like that cowherd?
Why does it feel like both of them are trying to harass him?
After a while, he sneered, not confidently: "You are quite principled."
Zhou Zhou couldn't help laughing.
She had just smiled when she felt a gaze from the other side fall on her, as sharp as the scorching sun. She looked back, but the person averted his gaze effortlessly, as if it had been an illusion.
Zhou Zhou suppressed his smile and buried his head in eating noodles.
After dinner, Chen Yiyang said he wanted to go to bed.
I spent last night with a woman until dawn. I didn't sleep for long and got up to arrange to send her back. After that busy time, I couldn't sleep anymore and stayed up until night.
"Arrange it yourself, I won't bother you anymore," he said.
Zhou Zhou nodded, took the bowl and put it in the dishwasher.
I picked up the kitchen waste and placed it at the door, ready to change my clothes and throw it away.
The snow outside showed no sign of stopping, and she didn't know how long she would be stuck in her suburban villa. It was 20 degrees in California before she returned to Beijing, and she packed her suitcase with light clothes.
Fortunately, I basically don’t need to go out, and the villa has heating, so it’s comfortable.
Zhou Zhou put on his coat and went downstairs. The garbage by the door was gone.
The black down jacket hanging on the coat rack still had snowflakes that had not been brushed off. The snowflakes slowly melted in the warm room, leaving a circle of water stains.
She was stunned for a moment and subconsciously looked for Cheng Yu.
I didn't find it, I just saw the little man on the TV screen fighting with the BOSS.
Zhou Zhou walked over and, as expected, he was lying on the floor playing games again.
The lights in the living room were off, leaving only the decorative strips along the edge of the wall on.
His eyes were fixed on the screen, his pupils reflecting the light from the screen, and his three-dimensional face flickered in color as the screen changed.
The silver headphones were casually hung around his neck. He didn't seem to be paying attention and looked as lazy as he could be.
"Did you throw away the garbage?" Zhou Zhou took off his coat.
"hold head high."
Without being able to go out, there were few entertainment activities available. Zhou Zhou had just woken up and didn't know what to do for a while, so he sat down next to him.
Not close, there is some distance in between.
Cheng Yu's eyes were fixed on the TV and he didn't look at her.
Zhou Zhou didn't play games much, so he didn't understand it. He only knew it was a level-breaking game, and defeating the boss at the end would advance to the next level.
After watching for a while, she felt bored and lowered her head to play with her mobile phone.
The two sat side by side, neither of them spoke.
It was quiet at first. The two of them were alone in an environment, each doing their own thing, achieving a delicate balance.
The WeChat notification sound breaks this balance.
Cheng Yu's cell phone, which was placed on the coffee table, started to ring non-stop. Someone was sending him a message.
It had been ringing before, but only occasionally. It started ringing more frequently, and Zhou Zhou couldn't help but frown and look.
A bit noisy.
The owner of the phone didn't seem to care. He didn't even glance at her. His hand pressing the handle didn't even pause. He was indifferent to who sent the message.
After a level was finished, he pressed pause and leaned over to grab his phone.
Zhou Zhou didn't care whose news it was.
She lowered her head to reply to the message and discussed the gossip in the study abroad circle with her friends. Cheng Yu next to her suddenly said: "You want to sleep with Pei Shuchen."
