Chapter 36 "The Stray" Player (Gong) x Dual-Body "Demon Boss" (Shou) 2

Li Yuheng suddenly felt the little boy in his arms quiet down. His dark eyes stared straight at him, and a strange smile slowly appeared on his lips.

"What are you laughing at?" Li Yuheng raised an eyebrow, and before he finished speaking, the entire cabin fell into dead silence.

All the passengers froze, as if time had stood still.

The next second, the little boy suddenly broke free from Li Yuheng's embrace.

At the same time, the puppy toy in his hand suddenly spewed out thick black gas, which surged and spread like a tide.

The eerie black mist quickly wrapped around the little boy's body, completely merging with him, and finally coalesced into a tall and sinister figure inside the cabin.

Li Yuheng's pupils constricted slightly.

It's the adult version of Shubai.

He was tall and slender, with pale skin, slightly downcast black hair, and a pair of unfathomable eyes that looked down at Li Yuheng with a sinister gaze, exuding a suffocating sense of oppression.

Li Yuheng paused for a moment, then laughed: "Oh, it can still grow bigger?"

Shu Bai didn't speak, but raised his hand, his slender fingers stabbing straight at Li Yuheng's chest.

Just before they were about to touch, Li Yuheng's figure blurred and miraculously disappeared.

Shu Bai's hand froze in mid-air, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

...

The plane flew smoothly, and sunlight streamed through the portholes.

Li Yuheng suddenly opened his eyes, his sunglasses still perched on his nose.

He lazily took off his sunglasses and, sure enough, saw the little boy holding the puppy doll standing in front of his seat again, his dark eyes staring intently at him, his gaze even more gloomy than before.

"Little friend, we meet again." Li Yuheng tilted his head, his tone playful. "This time... are you going to give it a try again?"

The little boy's eyes suddenly turned fierce.

He lunged forward, his sharp fingernails slashing towards Li Yuheng's throat.

Just as his fingertips were about to touch his skin, Li Yuheng vanished from his sight once again.

The little boy missed his target, stumbled, and clutched the doll's ear so tightly that he almost tore it off.

...

The third time, Li Yuheng had just opened his eyes when he was met with the little boy's gloomy face.

The other party pulled out a folding knife and stabbed fiercely. When the tip of the knife was only an inch away from his heart, Li Yuheng's figure disappeared again.

The fourth time, just as the little boy picked up the knife, Li Yuheng winked at him: "Too slow."

Before the words were finished, the person had vanished.

On the fifth try, the little boy's hand finally touched the seatbelt, and Li Yuheng waved his hand with a smile: "Be faster next time."

...

After the tenth death reset, Li Yuheng leaned back lazily in his seat, looking at the obviously agitated little boy in front of him: "Little friend, are you tired? Do you want to rest for a while? Or... do you want to transform again?"

He strangely desires an adult version of his wife.

The little boy's chest heaved violently, his black hair plastered messily to his forehead.

"Why..." he finally spoke, his voice low and hoarse, filled with suppressed turmoil, "Why can't I kill you?"

Haha, out of ideas now?

Li Yuheng suddenly reached out and pulled him into his arms. The little boy struggled violently, scratching several bloody marks on his arm with his fingernails, but he was firmly held in place.

“Because,” Li Yuheng whispered in his ear, “I came here specifically to keep you company.”

The little boy froze.

Just then, the plane started shaking violently again.

Li Yuheng looked up at the window. The blood-red crack was larger than ever before, almost tearing the entire sky apart.

"You're not killing me this time?" Li Yuheng looked down at the little boy in his arms who had quieted down with his head down. "Then we really will be buried together, huh?"

After a moment of silence, his voice was filled with suppressed madness: "Who...who are you?"

Li Yuheng curled the corners of his lips: "Guess?"

He felt the little boy's cold fingers suddenly grip his wrist, the slender fingers trembling slightly from the excessive force.

Her upturned face was full of smiles, but her eyes were cold. "...Fine, then come and keep me company. I just don't know...how many lives do you have left to play with me?"

Li Yuheng raised an eyebrow, about to speak, when the fuselage suddenly disintegrated.

In the instant the blinding red light engulfed his vision, the little boy's fingers still gripped his wrist tightly, as if trying to drag him into the deepest part of hell, to be entangled with him for eternity.

...

"Welcome to the Rebirth Game."

A clear, crisp male voice echoed in the void.

Li Yuheng opened his eyes and found himself standing in a huge, blood-red hall.

A huge electronic screen floated in the center of the hall, displaying a countdown in blood-red numbers:

【00:05:00】

"Where is this?" A middle-aged man in a suit looked around in alarm. "Shouldn't we be on the plane?"

“That’s right,” the others chimed in.

"Passengers," a clear male voice announced again, "we regret to inform you that flight U1748 has crashed and there were no survivors."

A burst of screams and cries erupted from the crowd.

“But you are lucky,” the male voice continued, “to have been chosen to participate in the ‘Rebirth Game.’ Through the game, you will have the opportunity to be reborn.”

Li Yuheng's gaze passed through the commotion and landed on the little boy in the corner who was holding a tattered doll.

"Looks like we've been pulled into an interesting game, haven't we?"

Li Yuheng walked over to the little boy, squatted down, and smiled as he looked at him at eye level.

The little boy blinked his big, dark eyes, then suddenly gave a naive smile and hugged Li Yuheng's neck tightly.

"Brother..." His soft voice trembled slightly, like a frightened little animal, "I'm scared..."

Li Yuheng almost burst out laughing.

This kid is actually putting on quite a convincing act.

If I hadn't just witnessed him use ten different methods to kill, I would have been fooled by his pitiful appearance.

"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid." Li Yuheng patted his back cooperatively, deliberately raising his voice so that everyone around could hear, "Brother will protect you."

The little boy whispered coldly in his ear, in a voice only the two of them could hear, "You're dead."

"Wow, that's scary." Li Yuheng responded in a low voice, but with a gentle smile on his face, and even reached out to ruffle the little boy's hair.

Haha, is this considered raising a wife from when he was a child?
