Li Yuheng would never listen to his arrangements.
There's no one the male protagonist can't keep up with.
Shu Bai slipped into the clean room and was about to close the door behind her.
A hand with distinct knuckles blocked the door first.
Li Yuheng, dressed in red with dark hair, stood sideways in the crack of the door, looking at him with a smile.
"Get out of the way!"
Shu Bai gritted her teeth and tried to push his shoulder, but what she touched was solid.
Is it too late to untie that broken bell now?
Li Yuheng took the opportunity to grab his wrist, his fingertips were icy cold, which made Shu Bai tremble.
"Let go..."
Shu Bai's breathing was disordered, and her other hand was still tightly gripping her nightgown in front of her.
Li Yuheng's gaze shifted downwards, sweeping over the tight nightgown, and his eyes crinkled with understanding.
Instead of letting go, he took a step further and encircled the door panel between himself and the door.
"Hey, I think we should change our deal?"
Shu Bai felt a sudden boom in his mind, and his blood seemed to freeze instantly.
He stared at Li Yuheng in disbelief.
"You can talk!?"
Li Yuheng raised an eyebrow, as if he had heard some stupid question.
When did I say I wouldn't?
The voice was clear and melodious, with a touch of nonchalant laziness; it was undoubtedly a man's voice.
Before Shu Bai could recover from the shock of the ghost husband's muteness, Li Yuheng slowly added:
"How about changing Clause One, 'Three drops of blood per day,' to 'Three drops of gold'? They're both liquids anyway, so it's pretty much the same."
Shu Bai abruptly slapped his hand away.
What nonsense are you talking about?
That's perverted!
Li Yuheng was surprised, then continued talking nonsense: "What's the difference?"
He spread his hands, speaking with self-righteousness: "It's nothing more than a small favor for you, but it's a great benefit for me. It's a win-win situation, why should the young master be so insistent?"
Shu Bai was so angry that his fingertips trembled.
"absurd!"
"Is this absurd?" Li Yuheng tilted his head, his eyes filled with utter incomprehension. "The young master would rather suffer the torment of being burned every night than give up these worldly possessions?"
He suddenly leaned closer, his nose touching the side of Shu Bai's neck.
"Or is it... that the young master is afraid he won't be able to control himself?"
Shu Bai, unable to bear it any longer, pushed him away.
"Get out!"
Li Yuheng took two steps back, flicked his sleeve, and stood firmly.
He crossed his arms and admired Shu Bai's rare moment of loss of composure.
“Your Highness,” he said sincerely, “It is unacceptable to conceal one’s illness and avoid seeking medical treatment.”
Shu Bai was so angry at his fallacies that she felt dizzy and had to hold onto the door frame to steady herself.
"I'm not into homosexuality!" He practically spat out the words through gritted teeth.
Upon hearing this, Li Yuheng's eyes lit up, as if he had found a kindred spirit.
"What a coincidence!" he clapped his hands and laughed. "I've never been into men anyway."
He strode forward and flicked his sleeve with a flourish.
"But the young master is very pleasing to my eye. So I've fallen for you."
The fingertips touched Shu Bai's chest precisely.
Shu Bai slapped his fingers away, her face turning ashen.
He now sincerely hoped that the person in front of him was a genuine mute.
At least, they wouldn't utter such outrageous and absurd words.
Shu Bai completely gave up on communication, turned around and lunged at the bathtub, plunging into the cold water along with her clothes.
He needs to calm down, he desperately needs to.
Li Yuheng leaned against the door frame with his arms crossed, watching the scene with great interest.
Water droplets rolled down his sparse white chin, and his wet black hair clung to the side of his neck.
The figure tightly wrapped in wet clothes is indeed pleasing to the eye.
“Taking a bath while dressed,” Li Yuheng commented, “The Crown Prince is indeed unique.”
Shu Bai closed his eyes, gritted his teeth, and remained silent.
“However,” Li Yuheng added slowly, “the wet and alluring look works really well on me.”
A throbbing blue vein appeared on his sparse, white forehead.
He buried his face in the cold water, his voice hoarse: "...Shut up."
Li Yuheng: "Oh."
He indeed crossed his arms and leaned against the door, saying nothing more.
Time flowed silently, with only the sound of ripples on the water.
Shu Bai held his breath and concentrated, trying to suppress the evil fire within his body.
However, it was of no use.
The heat did not extinguish; instead, it became even more rampant due to the stimulation of the cold water, burning fiercely throughout his limbs and bones.
His knuckles were white from gripping the rim of the bucket so tightly.
Li Yuheng watched quietly.
well.
Even with such an excellent "antidote" right beside him, he insisted on fighting against the cold water.
The male protagonist condescends to serve his wife personally, but she doesn't appreciate it at all.
He idly fiddled with the red string on his wrist, and the bell made a very light, crisp sound.
The sound was particularly clear in the excessively quiet clean room.
His pale back stiffened almost imperceptibly.
Li Yuheng raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes.
Oh? There's a response?
He deliberately shook his wrist again.
The bell rang softly again, with a slightly alluring quality.
Shu Bai suddenly looked up from the water, water droplets rolling down his flushed cheeks.
His eyes reddened as he glared fiercely at Li Yuheng, his breathing heavy: "You...!"
Li Yuheng immediately raised his hands, looking innocent, and gestured with his eyes: I didn't say a word.
Shu Bai felt a surge of anger rising within her as she looked at his pretentious demeanor, but she had no way to vent it.
He irritably scooped up a handful of water and splashed it on his face, the water droplets sliding down his collarbone and into his clothes.
Li Yuheng's gaze followed the watermarks downwards without any attempt to conceal it.
Shu Bai felt extremely uncomfortable under his gaze, which seemed almost tangible.
"Turn around!"
Li Yuheng tilted his head, his eyes filled with confusion, as if asking: Why?
"Do not look at what is improper!"
Li Yuheng suddenly realized what was happening, and then solemnly raised his hand to cover his ears.
Her eyes remained fixed on Shu Bai without blinking.
Shu Bai: "..."
Shu Bai completely gave up and silently recited the Heart-Cleansing Mantra.
He sank to the bottom of the water in despair, hoping that the icy water could extinguish the evil fire that was burning from within.
Water droplets clung to my eyelashes, blurring my vision.
Across the rippling water, he saw the figure in red leisurely stroll to the edge of the tub.
Li Yuheng bent over, resting his arm on the edge of the bucket and propping his chin up.
"Do you need any help?" he asked with a smile, gesturing with his hand.
Shu Bai burst out of the water and wiped the water off her face.
"unnecessary!"
His voice was hoarse from being suppressed.
Li Yuheng nodded readily in agreement.
"All right."
He straightened up and slowly began to unbutton his wedding dress.
"Then you go ahead with your work, I'll do mine."
A sparse white pupil indicates an earthquake.
"what you do?!"
"Take a bath. Who says only one person can bathe in the bridal chamber?"
Shu Bai grabbed his hand that was unbuttoning his clothes.
My fingertips touched a cool, smooth skin, then recoiled as if burned.
"Get out!"
His ears were so red they were practically bleeding.
Li Yuheng grabbed his wrist with his backhand and used the force to lean forward.
The distance between the two instantly shortened.
"Your Highness," he lowered his voice, his breath brushing against his pale lips, "what are you afraid of?"
Shu Bai suddenly leaned back, his head hitting the side of the bucket with a thud.
His vision went black, and he couldn't break free for a moment.
Li Yuheng chuckled softly, the bell on her wrist ringing gently with her movements.
“Article Two,” he slowly reminded, “is when a fever breaks out, and I need to intervene.”
A wisp of cold energy gathered at her fingertips and brushed lightly across her pale cheek.
"The young master is quite ill now."
Shu Bai's whole body was tense, like a fully drawn bow.
Wherever that wisp of yin energy passed, it brought a shivering relief, but ignited an even deeper longing.
Reason teetered on the brink of collapse.
"Use your yin energy... to hit me."
He practically begged for those words.
Li Yuheng looked serious.
With fingers drawn together like a sword, a sudden surge of yin energy erupted!
But it lightly touched the itchy spot on his waist.
Caught off guard, Shu Bai's waist and abdomen went limp, and he almost slipped into the bottom of the bucket.
"You...!" He was both shocked and furious.
Li Yuheng looked completely innocent.
"I did hit it."
"The Crown Prince did not specify where to hit."
The patient suffers from stagnation of qi and has difficulty breathing.
The body is filled with a surge of heat that desperately needs an outlet.
He stared at Li Yuheng's face, which was so close to his own, a face that was stunningly beautiful, yet with eyes as cunning as a fox.
As if possessed, he suddenly moved closer.
Just as he was about to touch those lips, he abruptly turned his head away.
His hot breath sprayed heavily onto Li Yuheng's neck.
Li Yuheng raised an eyebrow.
He raised his hand, pinched Shu Bai's chin, and gently straightened it.
He murmured with a sigh, "Your Highness, when you ask for a favor, you must have the proper attitude."
Then, he added meaningfully, "Next time, remember to call me by my name. Remember, my name is Li Yuheng."
As soon as he finished speaking, he lowered his head and captured those tightly pursed lips.
Shu Bai's mind suddenly went completely blank.
Cool, soft, and with an indescribable cool fragrance, it's like a spark that instantly ignites all suppressed restlessness.
He hesitated for a moment, then lost control.
Water splashed everywhere, soaking her red dress, which clung tightly to her heaving chest.
The bells rang incessantly amidst the intense entanglement.
Li Yuheng chuckled softly during the break, his voice hoarse and smug:
"See..."
“I told you, you really need it.”
The sparse white space splits between the burning heat of intertwined lips and teeth and the icy coolness of the yin energy.
The remaining rationality screamed out the absurdity, while the body greedily seized that strange comfort.
During the struggle, he clearly felt a third wave of despair pressing down on him.
He was actually doing this absurd thing with a male ghost.
What was even more devastating was that he discovered he wasn't entirely resisting.
