Chapter 14

Chapter 14

"What are you doing?" Su Qiong walked forward in confusion, but was afraid that another bomb would pop out of the pot, so she stopped abruptly.

The kitchen in front of her was a mess, a shambles compared to yesterday. Su Qiong would have believed someone had just gotten into a fight there. Could anyone explain to her why the trash can was overflowing with green leaves, the ceiling was covered in white batter, and the tin can collapsed, with spoons spilling out of the net all over the floor?

Mu Yunting pursed his lips and said, "I'm... uh, making glutinous rice balls." At the end, he added in a low voice, "Peanut flavored."

So the things stuck to the ceiling and walls were glutinous rice balls?! Just as Su Qiong was trying to figure out whether Mu Yunting was cooking glutinous rice balls or just messing around in the kitchen, the last glutinous rice ball in the pot suddenly made its presence felt, drawing their attention back.

"Bang!" It also stuck to the ceiling together with its brothers and sisters. What a happy occasion! What a happy occasion... What the hell!

Su Qiong rushed over, stepped over the stiff Mu Yunting, and turned off the fire. She wanted to speak, but she didn't know what to say. Seeing the mess, she wanted to laugh as soon as she opened her mouth.

Mu Yunting was simply embarrassed and didn't say anything.

The low roar of the range hood brought silence.

The two stood for a while, and Mu Yunting was the first to be unable to bear this embarrassing and torturous punishment, so he started to explain.

"I wanted to change the taste, so I thought of making some glutinous rice balls for us for breakfast. I think this is a simpler way."

Then you cooked a pot of shells, right? Su Qiong moved his lips, suppressing the urge to complain, and found it even funnier.

"Well...haha, how did you cook the glutinous rice balls?" Su Qiong asked curiously, trying to hold back her laughter, but she found that the glutinous rice balls stuck on the tableware were hard and could not be picked off, so she couldn't help laughing twice.

Seeing that things had come to this point, Mu Yunting touched his nose and calmly accepted the current predicament.

After eating the same old food for so many days, he really wanted a change of pace. Mu Yunting finished work last night and saw the light in Su Qiong's room still on late. He was almost asleep, so he figured she might not be getting up that early, or at least not getting out of her side-bed that early. He got up early to try to make breakfast. That way, if he failed, he could quietly clean up the mess.

Unexpectedly, I had such a blast the first time I went into the kitchen, and even woke up Su Qiong who was still sleeping.

Mu Yunting watched Su Qiong smile, her eyes curved as she used a fork to pick at the glutinous rice balls on the tableware jar. She was wearing simple black pajamas, a messy ponytail with a few strands of hair sticking out, a lively look, probably just like her usual daily routine at home.

Su Qiong realized she hadn't washed up yet, so she rushed out. She quickly raised her hand to tidy up her hair, which had been blown up from sleeping, and tied it back into a low ponytail. "I'll go wash up first, and then I'll come and help you clean up the mess later."

"I think glutinous rice balls are easier to cook. After all, they just boil in water for a while." No need to stir-fry or add any seasonings. Who knew it would be so awkward? Mu Yunting stood on the floor-standing dining cabinet, craning his neck to dig into the cooled glutinous rice balls, and intermittently explained the reason to Su Qiong, who had come to help clean up after washing up.

Fortunately, he had the foresight to order takeout in advance as a last resort, fearing that his cooking skills would not be successful.

The two of them sat at the dining table drinking hot porridge, with a messy kitchen next to them, which was a bit funny.

Su Qiong laughed in her heart, thinking that this could be included in the list of human culinary wonders. She wanted to take a photo, but she didn't have the courage, nor did she dare to be so mean.
