Chapter 47

Chapter 47

Perhaps because the lockdown was about to be lifted, Su Qiong tossed and turned in bed for a while, but she couldn't fall asleep. She sat up and squatted in front of the suitcase to check the things.

On the desk were Mu Yunting's washed clothes.

Looking back on the past few months, it felt like she was actually living with Mu Yunting. But the coincidence was about to end, and everything seemed to be returning to normal, and Su Qiong felt a little uncomfortable again.

Su Qiong shook her head to clear her mind, returned to bed, and buried her head hard into the pillow.

Mu Yunting was still in his study. He sat in his office chair, his eyes blank. In his hands was a brand new envelope, folded from the white paper in the drawer.

Mu Yunting turned to look out the French window. The city lights twinkled quietly. He turned off the light in his study and walked towards his bedroom.

Before going to bed, Mu Yunting suddenly remembered that he had not yet asked Su Qiong how to make coffee.

The next day, morning.

Su Qiong got up early and prepared breakfast, and the two of them finished their breakfast.

Mu Yunting called Su Qiong over and they talked in front of the coffee machine. Su Qiong demonstrated the steps of her usual coffee making method.

At noon, Mu Yunting prepared lunch and knocked on Su Qiong's door, and the two of them had lunch.

"Okay, I'm leaving now." Su Qiong picked up the suitcase and opened the door.

Mu Yunting stood at the door and watched Su Qiong walk towards the elevator.

"etc."

Su Qiong turned around and asked, "What's wrong?" and withdrew her hand that was about to press the elevator button.

Mu Yunting handed over a white envelope. Su Qiong took it with suspicion.

"Open it and take a look before leaving, okay?" Mu Yunting tilted his head and said, his palms interlaced and his thumbs rubbing against each other.

"Okay..." Although confused, Su Qiong let go of the suitcase and opened the envelope with curiosity.

The opening of the white envelope was sealed with transparent tape, and Su Qiong tore it carefully.

Mu Yunting's face gradually turned red.

Su Qiong gently tore open the transparent tape and took out the folded white paper inside. She could vaguely see a lot of words written on it. She spread out the white paper and read the words clearly.

Su Qiong's face flushed red. She suddenly looked up at Mu Yunting, only to see him staring at the floor with his head tilted to one side, his ears red as if they were about to bleed.

[This is a confession letter...

…………

...Please say "I have finished reading it" after you finish reading it.

If you want to reject me, please say, "Let's see."

If you feel like you need time to think it over, say, "There'll be a chance later."

If you agree to my pursuit, please say: "Looking forward to seeing you next time."

No matter what, I wish you a happy life and all the best.

—Mu Yunting]

Su Qiong felt her face was so hot she could fry an egg on it. She said honestly, "I've finished reading it."

Mu Yunting turned back, his heart pounding. He cleared his throat and said, "Ahem... well, see you next time, okay?"

Su Qiong held the white paper covered with handwriting, felt the heat on her cheeks and ears, and wondered: Is it so hot today?

She once again read the last few words in the letter, then looked up at Mu Yunting, who was blushing. Behind him was the apartment she had lived in for nearly three months, an apartment she had visited hundreds, if not thousands, of times while working. Light streamed through the elevator door, catching the gleam of her high heels.

Su Qiong's mind was both confused and clear. She heard herself say, "Looking forward to seeing you next time."

Mu Yunting blushed and smiled, "Looking forward to seeing you next time."
