Chapter 152 Garden

It was almost noon, and Bao Yu, who had eaten snacks along the way, did not feel hungry. Looking at the weather outside, Bao Yu returned to the teahouse.

"This outfit looks much better on the little girl than the one she wore before. The clothes left by our ancestors are still the most beautiful!"

The man in front of me was the old man who had sat next to Bao Yu in the teahouse earlier. He had come in when the storyteller was performing, and since there was only an empty seat next to Bao Yu, he had sat there.

Since everyone was listening to the storyteller, he didn't say anything, but just smiled and nodded in acknowledgment.

The storyteller left, and so did he, but presumably he has returned, and just so happens to meet Bao Yu at the door.

"You flatter me. My friend wanted to see it, so I just wanted to have some fun."

Bao Yu made way for the old man before she entered the teahouse.

Bao Yu hadn't expected that his subconscious action had been noticed by the old gentleman, who immediately asked after they entered the teahouse:

"Little girl, judging from your movements just now, you seem to have some knowledge of ancient etiquette. I suppose this tea ceremony is no challenge for you either. Do you have time? I'll take you somewhere!"

Bao Yu smiled and declined, "I would be grateful for your suggestion, sir, but I'm still live streaming and I'm afraid I might disturb your enjoyment!"

As he spoke, Bao Yu pointed to the live streaming device above his head, gesturing for the old man to look.

"Haha, I was wondering what this was. It's nothing. If you have nothing else to do, you can come along."

That's what they said, but the old man had already started walking inside, not giving Bao Yu a chance to refuse.

Bao Yu found it amusing and had no choice but to follow him inside.

It turns out that the backyard of this teahouse was actually a garden, clearly meticulously maintained, with artificial hills, flowing water, pavilions, and waterside corridors. It truly looked like the courtyard of an ancient noble family.

"This courtyard is being opened to the public for the first time. As a token of my gratitude, I'll be entertaining some friends later, so you'd better make a good impression!"

Judging from the old man's tone, the garden should undoubtedly belong to him. However, seeing how brazenly he was trying to force a sale, Bao Yu couldn't help but laugh and ask, "Aren't you afraid I'll embarrass you later?"

The old gentleman laughed heartily: "I'm an old man with a good eye for people. Although your clothes are from the Hanfu shop next door, judging from your hairstyle and your subconscious actions after putting on Hanfu, you don't seem like someone who doesn't know anything about it."

The more the old man acted this way, the more Bao Yu wanted to tease him: "But what if all I know is those?"

The old gentleman was clearly very easygoing: "This tea is nothing more than tea brewed with water. As long as you can serve each person a cup of tea, that's fine!"

Bao Yu laughed, "Since you put it that way, then naturally I'm not afraid anymore. Anyway, I don't know them!"

Upon hearing Bao Yu's words, the old gentleman couldn't help but laugh again.

As they spoke, Bao Yu followed the old gentleman to a terrace where tea sets and tools had already been laid out.

There was also a guzheng and a half-finished chessboard placed next to it.

Judging from the looks of it, this is a place where people frequently spend time.

When they arrived, the old man told Bao Yu to make himself at home while he went to look at the unfinished chess game. Bao Yu glanced at the unfinished game and then looked away.

Finally, I sat down next to the tea set, lit the small stove, and then took out the teapot to boil a pot of water.

Bao Yu certainly knows how to make tea. Sang Yuan, after all, is a chef by training, and she's always been very good at food and drink! Making tea is practically a basic skill for her.

Seeing Bao Yu's actions, the old man smiled even more with satisfaction; he had indeed made the right judgment.
