Gu Nanxi found Bao Yu's coaxing tone amusing: "It seems you're quite adept at taking care of children. It looks like we can consider moving on to the next stage of our lives."
Bao Yu asked, puzzled, "What next stage?"
Gu Nanxi's tone was clearly amused: "Of course, it's about being a father and mother."
Even though they've been married for a while, Bao Yu was still a little embarrassed: "I'm hanging up now, I have to go."
After saying that, she hung up the phone. Bao Yu was worried about leaving Ren Chenguang alone at home, so she decided to take him with her. Looking at the pile of food, she wasn't worried about the weight, but it was too small and difficult to carry.
So, he simply entered the village without taking anything. This was Bao Yu's first time entering Xiaoyang Village on a rainy day.
The village itself is built on the mountainside, so all the houses are built on both sides of the slope.
Like terraced fields, it leads up layer by layer to the top. The road is paved with mountain stones by the village, and it has been polished smooth by time. For the sake of pedestrians, there are flat steps on both sides of the slope.
Bao Yu had been here a few times for missions, but none of them had brought her such a profound shock as the rainy day.
Rainwater hit the roof tiles, gathering into beads that fell under the eaves with a pattering sound. The rainwater flowing down from above collected and gurgled like a small stream.
The sound was loud, but I didn't feel it was noise at all. Instead, I wanted to fall asleep to that sound.
The mountains were shrouded in mist during the rain, enveloping half the village and adding to its already ancient atmosphere, making it even more mysterious.
Just as Bao Yu was engrossed in watching, she suddenly heard a child's voice: "Sister Little Fish!!!"
Upon hearing the sound, Bao Yu raised her umbrella and looked towards the source. Halfway up the mountain, there was a pavilion, and at that moment, not only Ye Qiulong and his daughter, but also the entire production crew were there.
Sitting in a corner of the pavilion, he seemed to be enjoying the beautiful scenery.
Bao Yu, holding an umbrella in one hand and leading Ren Chenguang by the other, strolled into the crowd. Before Bao Yu could speak, Sun Zhibin asked:
"Why did you decide to come out, girl? I'm usually under your tent, aren't I?"
Bao Yu smiled: "My husband brought me some food, but it's too much for me to carry. Could you arrange for someone to come to my place? It's only enough for one day, though. I've already put mine away. Take the rest."
Sun Zhibin's tone shifted from his earlier teasing: "You brought food in? When? How could your husband come in?"
Bao Yu replied one by one: "Yes, it was brought in last night, and we'll continue working on it tomorrow. If you're interested, you can go see it tomorrow if it hasn't come in yet."
Sun Zhibin laughed heartily: "You're my lucky star, our production team's lucky star! I was just wondering whether I should borrow some food from my fellow villagers, and you've already brought some over. Hahaha, I'll go and have someone bring the food over right away!"
Su Tian, standing to the side, said, "You weren't in a hurry when you were rambling on and on just now. Why are you in a hurry now?"
Sun Zhibin didn't mind Su Tian's sabotage at all: "How could I let you see me in such a hurry? Alright, I'm not going to chat with you anymore. I have to go see the actual product. I won't feel at ease until I see it."
Su Tian pointed to the spot where Sun Zhibin had left: "Come on, Xiaoyu, it's good that he's gone, there's a seat for you!"
