Although she came back with Chu Yu, Lin Feiran felt uncomfortable again because of the appearance of Meng Yisi.
Before she had time to comfort herself and get rid of this lump, Meng Yisi called Chu Yu the next morning.
At that time, Lin Feiran was having breakfast with Chu Yu in the hotel room. Chu Yu's phone was a bit loud, so even though the speakerphone was not on, Lin Feiran could still hear Meng Yisi's voice on the phone.
Meng Yisi: "Achu, where are you living now? Do you want to come live in my house again? You are blind now and need care in your daily life. You know my house is very convenient in every way. Aunt Liu is here too. She keeps saying how long she hasn't seen you and wants to make you her famous butter."
When Chu Yu came to New York the year before last, he couldn't resist Meng Yisi's invitation and stayed at her house for two days, but he felt that it was not appropriate to live under the same roof with her, so he stayed in a hotel outside since then.
Aunt Liu is an old maid brought to New York by Meng Yisi. She has been in the Meng family for decades and has watched Meng Yisi and Chu Yu grow up. Both of them regard her as a half-elder.

Assistant Lin has his own work to do when he's on a business trip to New York, so he probably can't always be with you. I brought you lunch. Aunt Liu made it specially early in the morning because she was worried you wouldn't be able to eat well here alone."
Chu Yu was a little inexplicably unhappy that Meng Yisi came to his house directly, but Aunt Liu specially cooked for him and Meng Yisi brought it to him with good intentions, so of course he couldn't say anything.
Meng Yisi: "Can I come in and eat with you? I haven't had lunch yet."
Chu Yu had no choice but to let her in.
Meng Yisi spread out the sumptuous meal, filling the entire table, and ate and chatted with Chu Yu, looking very interested.
When Lin Feiran opened the door and came in, she saw this scene. The two of them were sitting opposite each other at the restaurant table, talking and laughing while eating. The scene was unexpectedly harmonious and warm.

When Chu Yu heard the door open and footsteps, he knew Lin Feiran had returned. He quickly stood up and asked, "Why are you back so early?"
This actually means what it says, because Lin Feiran was supposed to be out all day today and would not be back until at least the evening.
But to Lin Feiran's ears, it sounded even more harsh. It felt as if Chu Yu was staying with Meng Yisi without telling her, and she shouldn't have come back to disturb them and get in their way.
She suppressed her emotions and said in the most normal tone, "The brand manager had an urgent matter and asked for leave. We'll reschedule the meeting to tomorrow morning."
Meng Yisi then warmly invited: "Assistant Lin, would you like to come and have dinner with us?"
Lin Feiran looked at the table. They had actually almost finished eating by then. The food Meng Yisi brought was only enough for two people.
She smiled.
"Thank you, Mr. Meng. I've already eaten outside. Oh, I'll go downstairs to buy something so I won't disturb you two from continuing your meal."
Having said that, he turned and walked outside.
Chu Yu had already sensed something was wrong and didn't care about Meng Yisi anymore. He immediately stood up and chased after him.
He caught up with Lin Feiran in the corridor and held her hand.
"Feiran!..."
Lin Feiran secretly took a deep breath, turned to look at him, and said in a calm tone: "Boss Chu, what's wrong? I really need to go downstairs to buy something."
Chu Yu knew that she was unhappy and was just pretending, but he caught up with her and didn't know how to start the conversation for a moment.
In the end, I could only say: "I told Meng Yisi to go back and not come again."
He had been in a high position for many years, so when problems arose, the first thing he wanted to hear was not an explanation, but a solution. He was the same.
