Chapter 21

Chapter 21

Hearing this, Na Luozhen frowned slightly, and a hint of impatience flashed across his eyes, as if he felt it was difficult for the usually docile "Living Medicine Cauldron" to suddenly resist. He glanced at Shen Aheng silently, then looked at Ashina Yu with a heavy gaze.

Without waiting to say a word, he suddenly moved forward and came to Shen Aheng.

Shen Aheng only felt a flash before his eyes, and before he could see the movement clearly, he was already standing in front of the two of them. He gathered strength in his right palm and slapped it towards Ashina Yu's heart with a sharp wind.

Shen Aheng’s heart tightened, and she rushed forward without thinking, trying to block Ashina Yu, but the man’s hand suddenly turned halfway, and the palm wind rushed straight to her face.

At this critical moment, Ashina Yu suddenly pulled her behind him, quickly raised his other hand, shook his wrist slightly, turned up his palm, and blocked the man's attacking palm.

There was a dull "bang" sound as the two palms collided. The man was shocked and took half a step back. His face instantly darkened, and his eyes were filled with ugly anger and suspicion.

When did this kid develop such unfathomable internal strength?

The next second, he took advantage of the momentum to move his body to the side, and his other hand hidden in his sleeve suddenly slapped out with even greater force. While Ashina Yu was protecting Shen Aheng, he slapped him heavily on the chest.

Ashina Yu groaned, staggered back two steps, and covered his chest with one hand. There was a dark bloodstain on the light gray front of his clothes.

Shen Ah Heng froze in place, looking at the blood that kept spreading on Ashina Yu's chest. His mind buzzed, and he was stunned for a moment. Anger surged up, and he pointed at his nose and cursed: "Do you have any shame? You are so old, but you can't beat him, so you resort to murder. Using such despicable means, what kind of hero are you?!"

Na Luozhen slowly withdrew his palm, glanced at Shen Aheng, and changed his tone to the Central Plains dialect, but his tone was as cold as ice, with an innate arrogance: "That's just the rules of you Central Plains people. In our Western Regions, we only recognize the strong and the weak, regardless of the means. In the martial arts world, it is the law of the jungle. If you have high martial arts skills, you can win. If you take down the target, it is a skill. Where do all these rules come from?"

"you……"

Shen Aheng was too lazy to argue with him, and hurried over to support Ashina Yu, his voice tense: "How are you? Are you seriously injured? Does it hurt?"

This despicable and shameless villain, she had finally cured Ashina Yu, her living signboard, and if she didn't kill her with one blow, she would really be broken!

Ashina Yu shook her head gently, her pale lips pressed into a line, and she held her hand tightly with her backhand. There was a hint of coolness on her fingertips, but her tone was still gentle: "Don't be afraid, I will take you out."

Before Shen Aheng could fully understand the meaning of his words, his body was already rushed out by him.

Na Luozhen's eyes were slightly stern, and he shouted something in the Western dialect in a harsh voice.

Before he finished speaking, Ashina Yu's originally wide sleeves seemed to be filled with wind, and the edges were stretched straight, and seemed to emit a cold light, like a sharp long blade. When he raised his wrist, there were a few "swish" sounds. The few black-robed men in the front fell to the ground, covering their necks or chests, before they could react. They let out short screams and soon became silent.

Seeing this, Na Luozhen's face turned extremely ugly, and he immediately rushed towards Ashina Yu.

Ashina Yu caught a glimpse of him approaching, and quickly hugged Shen Aheng's arm tightly, blocking her with her body. Instead of blocking with her other hand, she moved sideways and suddenly floated back several feet to avoid the opponent's fierce attack. She tapped the ground with her toes and flew into the air.

As his clothes fluttered, his right hand was hidden in his sleeve, and he took advantage of the momentum of falling to attack the other person's shoulder like a shadow.

This blow was as powerful as a ghost and unstoppable. When Na Luozhen wanted to fight back, it was too late. He could only dodge sideways in embarrassment. However, the palm wind still hit his shoulder, and he staggered back half a step.

Ashina Yu did not give the other party a chance to breathe. The moment he landed, he quickly floated closer, holding Shen Aheng with his left hand, and while the other party's chest was wide open, he extended his right palm forward.

With a "bang", Na Luozhen felt a pain in his chest and fell backward suddenly, spurting out a mouthful of blood and falling heavily to the ground.

He could only watch as the young man pointed his toes again, and his figure shot out of the yard like an arrow, quickly disappearing at the end of the mountain path.

Ashina Yu led Shen Aheng straight down the mountain path.

Shen Aheng was supported on his back by Ashina Yu, his feet almost off the ground, the scenery on both sides quickly receded, and the wind blew on his face painfully.

After the initial fear passed, Shen Aheng glanced behind him, fearing that they would catch up, so he quickly patted Ashina Yu's shoulder and whispered in his ear, "Don't take the main road, let's take the small road!"

There was still a hint of sharpness in the corners of Ashina Yu's eyes, but upon hearing this, it quickly turned into a light gentleness. After listening to her, he stepped forward with his right foot and turned to the left.

Shen Aheng grew up in the mountains and was particularly familiar with the nearby mountain roads. He pointed the way and the two of them chose some remote and difficult paths to go down the mountain.

In less than half an hour, the two reached the foot of the mountain.

Since that stinky bastard came with that group of officials a few days ago, that group must have colluded with the government long ago. Since they were able to come first, the government officials would most likely arrive later.

They couldn't live in this town anymore, so Shen Aheng decided that they should go hide outside first, and wait for a month or two until the storm had passed, and it wouldn't be too late to come back.

Ashina Yu hugged Shen Aheng and rushed out of several streets and alleys. He stopped in a secluded corner not far from the city gate and then released his arms around her.

Shen Ah Heng patted his chest and took a breath. After calming himself down, he stuck his head out and secretly looked towards the city gate.

There was an endless stream of pedestrians entering and leaving the city, old men carrying loads on their shoulders, and peddlers. The officials guarding the city gate wore green official uniforms and had swords on their waists. They stood in groups of three or four on both sides of the city gate, just casually glancing at the passers-by, occasionally raising their hands to flip the peddlers' loads of goods. They looked relaxed and their inspections were not very strict.

Seeing that the officials were lax in their investigation, and thinking that the group might catch up at any time, Shen Aheng hurriedly raised his hand and used his sleeve to wipe the remaining blood from the corner of Ashina Yu's mouth. He then glanced at Ibaraki's dark blood stains on his light gray robe and hurriedly said, "Quick, take off your coat."

Without waiting for Ashina Yu to react, Shen Aheng reached out to help him untie the ties of his clothes.

Ashina Yu was stunned for a moment, then obediently took off his coat. Shen Ah Heng threw the coat aside, grabbed his hand again, and said in a low voice, "Let's get out before they come!"

As he spoke, he pulled him and quickly joined the crowd leaving the city, walking closely beside the hawkers carrying their loads on their shoulders, trying his best to look like an ordinary person.

Ashina Yu took a step following her force, his other hand still gently protecting his chest. Although his steps were a little unsteady, he followed her steadily.

The closer he got to the city gate, the harder Shen Aheng's heart beat, as if it was about to burst out of his chest, and the cold sweat on his palms wet Ashina Yu's hands.

Ashina Yu beside her followed her step lightly but steadily, and quietly patted the back of her hand with his other hand, as if to comfort her.

Fortunately, the officials guarding the city were indeed lax in their inspection. They just glanced at them casually, and seeing that they were dressed very ordinary, they waved their hands without asking any more questions and let them follow the crowd out of the city gate.

The moment he stepped out of the city gate, Shen Ah Heng's hanging heart finally fell to the ground, and he breathed a sigh of relief. His back was soaked with cold sweat. He didn't dare to delay for a moment, and only whispered: "Let's go quickly, the farther away from here, the better."

As he spoke, he pulled Ashina Yu and walked out of the city without stopping. He looked back towards the city gate from time to time, fearing that the group of people would catch up with them.

Even after leaving the city gate, the two still did not take the main road, but only took the rugged path.

Because they left in a hurry, the two men did not have much money with them and could not even afford a horse for traveling. They just hurried along the way.

After walking for two or three hours, Shen Aheng suddenly felt that the footsteps beside her slowed down. She turned her head and saw that Ashina Yu's handsome face was as white as paper, his brows were tightly furrowed, his thin lips were bloodless, and his bony hand was tightly covering his chest.

His body swayed and his steps were unsteady, as if he would be blown down by the wind at any moment.

Shen Ah Heng's heart tightened, and he hurried to support him. His fingers touched his slightly cold arm, and he didn't care about hurrying on his way. His eyes looked around hurriedly.

Fortunately, there happened to be a farmhouse in the mountains not far away, and smoke was still coming out of the chimney.

"We'll go there to stay the night tonight. Thank you in advance!"

Shen Ah Heng helped him walk towards the farmhouse on the mountain.

Arriving at the door of the farmhouse, Shen Aheng knocked gently on the courtyard door. Not long after, footsteps were heard from inside. An old woman with gray hair opened the door. Shen Aheng thought for a moment and said, "Grandma, I...my brother and I were originally going to my grandmother's house in town, but my brother was ill and suddenly fell ill on the way. I'd like to trouble you to take us in for one night."

As he said this, he took out all the change he had from his pocket and gave it to her.

Seeing Ashina Yu's appearance, the old woman quickly pushed her silver back and said, "It's okay, little girl, come in and rest."

Shen Aheng felt relieved and said, "Thank you, grandma."

The courtyard was not very big and was surrounded by a fence. The ground was made of firmly trampled yellow soil. Half a bundle of dry firewood was piled in the corner of the wall. Under the tree stood a wooden table with a missing leg and a stone pad, and two benches with peeling paint.

There are three rooms in total, the middle one is the largest. There is only an old wooden bed in the room. The cushions on it have been washed white and the edges and corners are worn out. There is a low table by the window.

Although the whole house was simple, it was kept clean.

There was an old man sitting inside, smoking a pipe at the table.

After hearing what the old woman said, the old man stood up and tried to clean up two clean side rooms. Shen Aheng quickly refused and said, "Grandpa, don't bother you. One is enough for us."

The old woman even extended her hand to help the person, misunderstood Shen Aheng's words, glanced at the old man, and said with a smile: "Look at you, they are a young couple, why do you get two rooms for them?"

Hearing the words "young couple", Shen Aheng's face heated up slightly. He wanted to explain, but looking at the old woman's kind expression, he swallowed the words back when they reached his lips.

By this time, the old man had cleaned out a room and laid out a clean mattress, while the old woman brought a basin of warm water and told them to rest for a while, as the meal would be ready soon.

Until the door was closed, Shen Aheng retracted his eyes and helped Ashina Yu lie down.

Ashina Yu leaned against the head of the bed, her long eyelashes trembled, then slowly closed, and then she frowned in pain, and her originally handsome face looked even paler.

Shen Ah Heng sat on the edge of the bed, frowning tightly. He took out a handkerchief and wiped the sweat from his forehead, feeling anxious and confused.

Ashina Yu opened his eyes and happened to see her like this. There was a hint of apology in his eyes and a weak and hoarse voice: "Yes, I'm sorry, it's me. I have implicated you. If it weren't for me..."

Before he finished speaking, Shen Ah Heng stared at his snow-white neck and suddenly murmured, "Oh no, oh no, I left in such a hurry that I forgot to bring out your jade earrings. They are worth hundreds of taels of silver..."

Ashina Yu: "..."
