Chapter 36 Collarbone Honeymoon 1: Where Should Your Eyes Look? ...

After submitting the final draft of her thesis, Yin Xiao had much more free time. Ms. Qian Yue suggested taking advantage of this rare break to hold a formal wedding, and even distant relatives and elementary school classmates were on her guest list.

Yin Xiao immediately refused.

Two days later, she flew to Sanya with Yi Zhiyan.

Her dear mother is right, this free time is rare, why not take a honeymoon?

Upon landing in Sanya, the blazing sun beat down relentlessly, the air thick with the heat of a giant furnace. The wheels of my suitcase creaked and groaned as they rolled over the cobblestones.

Yin Xiao's eyes were squinting from the sun, so she raised her hand to shield her forehead, regretting that she hadn't taken out the sun hat from her suitcase beforehand.

"Watch where you're going." Yi Zhiyan, dragging his suitcase, suddenly reached out and grabbed her.

She stopped, barely opening her eyes a crack. Looking down, she saw a sturdy, heavy stone pillar two steps away, with a mythical beast carved on it staring at her menacingly.

That was close! I almost gave up because of the Sanya sun right from the start.

She patted her chest in relief and breathed a long sigh of relief, when suddenly a dark shadow fell over her head.

A sky-blue fisherman's hat, still carrying the familiar scent of oranges.

"Huh? You're wearing an extra hat?" Yin Xiao looked up and asked curiously.

Yi Zhiyan gave a soft "hmm," tucked the stray hairs that were pressed down by her hat brim behind her ear, and then magically pulled a pair of sunglasses out of his backpack and put them on her nose.

"Yi Zhiyan." She pushed up her sunglasses and called out to him with a grin.

"Hmm?" Yi Zhiyan turned around to pull his suitcase and casually replied to her.

"Can I take you on my next trip?" Yin Xiao grinned and gave a thumbs up. "Sure."

"If you don't want to take me, who do you want to take?" Yi Zhiyan seemed to automatically filter out her praise, frowning as he looked at her, his attention focused entirely on the first half of her sentence.

"I'll take you, I definitely will." Yin Xiao naturally hugged his arm, and the awkward way she used to address him slipped out, "Husband."

Yi Zhiyan's cold expression softened considerably. He slung his backpack over his shoulder, freed his hand to take hers, and slowly walked towards the roadside.

The two of them booked a popular seaside guesthouse in advance. The service was excellent, the reviews were high, and they even provided a private car service. Right outside the window was a stretch of undeveloped beach, beautiful and clean, perfect for taking great photos.

Check-in went smoothly. Yin Xiao packed her luggage and pulled Yi Zhiyan straight to the beach. The sand was soft and fine, and the air was filled with the moisture carried by the sea breeze.

In the afternoon, when it was crowded, Yin Xiao walked around the beach and then found a quiet spot to play in the sand.

Before long, a crowd suddenly gathered under the sunshade not far away, and a loud whirring sound filled the air. The next second, two blue and white motorboats appeared on the sea, circling back and forth at high speed.

Waves rose behind the car, forming a clear and beautiful water curtain.

Yin Xiao unconsciously stopped moving, her hands covered in sand, her eyes fixed on the leaping waves.

"Want to play?" Yi Zhiyan turned his head to look at her and reached out to help her up.

Yin Xiao straightened up, forcefully brushed the sand from her palms, and her eyes lit up. "Will you come with me?"

Yi Zhiyan's lips tightened, and he hesitated for a moment, "I'll go with you... that's fine too."

Upon hearing his agreement, Yin Xiao jumped up and cheered, immediately running to the sunshade to join the queue. Fortunately, despite the crowded appearance, most of the people were just passersby watching the excitement from the shore, and she only had to wait in line for about ten minutes before it was her turn.

"You've changed your mind?" Yin Xiao gripped the handlebars, sat on the motorboat, swaying with the waves, and looked at the person who hadn't moved yet.

"No." Yi Zhiyan pointed to the coach wearing a straw hat next to him, "The coach can only take on one person."

“We don’t need a coach.” Yin Xiao shook her head, tossing her hair aside with a flourish. “I can drive, I’ll teach you.”

Yi Zhiyan didn't say anything, but turned to look at the coach.

"Sure, we've marked out this area, and the barriers around it are completely blocking it, so you can't drive out. Don't worry." After saying that, the instructor glanced at Yin Xiao with concern, "But little sister, are you really good at driving?"

"Yes!" Yin Xiao shouted back. To prove herself, she drove around the venue twice before obediently returning to pick up the person.

"Come on up!" She raised her hand to tidy her wet bangs and reached out to Yi Zhiyan.

The car seat sank down slightly, and in an instant, Yi Zhiyan tightened his grip on her waist.

"Loosen your grip a bit, it's too tight for me..."

With the pressure on her waist lessened, Yin Xiao turned the handle to speed up.

The damp wind whistled past my ears, dispersing the heat and making me feel light and airy, as if I were about to fly away—a feeling of lightness and freedom.

The familiar force around her waist suddenly pulled her back to the surface of the sea.

She instinctively let go, and the motorboat slowly slowed down, drifting on the sea with the wind.

"You..." She pursed her lips, seemed to understand something, and carefully chose her words, "Are you scared?"

"Don't be afraid." A deep voice came from behind her neck, muffled and unclear, yet unusually forceful.

"..."

Yin Xiao felt the weight against her back lighten considerably. Kindly, she didn't poke at it, but instead turned the handle slightly and slowly circled back to the starting point.

After taking off her life jacket, she turned to observe Yi Zhiyan's expression.

Fortunately, her complexion was rosy, except for a few strands of wet hair hanging over her forehead, which made her look a bit disheveled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't expect you to be scared, and I even dragged you along to play..." Yin Xiao tugged at the hem of his T-shirt and said softly.

"What did you say sorry for?" Yi Zhiyan looked down at her, deliberately putting on a fierce face. "I wanted to play with you, but you're not allowed to say sorry for this kind of thing."

"Oh..." Yin Xiao obediently agreed, holding onto his clothes tightly, absentmindedly kicking away the stone at her feet.

She had only taken a couple of steps when Yin Xiao suddenly stopped, her unfocused gaze slowly refocusing.

She blinked, her head turning to follow a row of handsome, fair-skinned men as they ran towards the sea with their surfboards.

Yi Zhiyan noticed her movement out of the corner of his eye, reached out and pulled off the hem of her dress that she was clutching in her hand, but she still didn't move, looking completely absorbed in watching.

"Yin Xiao! Didn't you say you changed?" He tried to hold back, but his tone still rose uncontrollably.

"Huh?" Yin Xiao turned her head blankly, her eyes innocent.

"Where are you looking?" Yi Zhiyan was amused and simply put his arm around her neck to prevent her from turning around.

"Look at that handsome surfer..." Yin Xiao paused, quickly stopped herself, and added, "I was just watching him surf, he's so amazing!"

Yi Zhiyan glanced at her expressionlessly, let go of her hand, walked straight to a secluded spot, squatted down, and started digging in the sand again.

Yin Xiao squatted down next to him, secretly poked his muscular arm, and said in a light tone, "You're amazing, you're amazing..."

"Is this what you mean?" Yi Zhiyan seemed to have lost his temper after being poked by her, and gently rubbed her fingers.

Yin Xiao said "Oh," her tone taking several turns, "So you're jealous... right?"

Yi Zhiyan lowered his eyes, pretending not to hear. Yin Xiao rushed to his shoulder and clung tightly to his collar.

"Is it..." Before she could finish speaking, she suddenly lost her balance, instinctively reached out to grab him, and tilted her head back as she fell forward.

Her lips unexpectedly collided with soft skin, and the intense scent of oranges invaded her nostrils, so sweet that it made her brain shut down.

Where did the kiss go?

Yin Xiao mechanically raised her eyes and immediately saw the clear lipstick mark on Yi Zhiyan's lips.

Because of his upturned lips, the small lipstick mark swelled up rapidly, turning into a conspicuous red blush.

"..." Yin Xiao glared at him angrily, struggled to get up, and patted the sand off her legs. "Happy now?"

Yi Zhiyan reached out and brushed the sand off her knees, explaining softly, "I didn't mean to."

Yin Xiao glanced at him sideways, then suddenly grabbed his collar, straightened her back and leaned in, leaving a complete lipstick mark on his lips without hesitation.

It was a solid, full impact, but it bounced back quickly after being touched, leaving no room for reaction.

"I did it on purpose." She let go of his hand and laughed triumphantly. "You got me, didn't you?"

Yi Zhiyan pursed his lips helplessly, his gaze fixed unabashedly on her face. His brown pupils were tinged with a dazzling halo, particularly eye-catching in the sunlight.

Yin Xiao was momentarily lost in thought when she heard him sigh softly.

"I can't help it, I've fallen for that little liar."

Exhausted from playing all day, Yin Xiao was too lazy to go out after showering and went straight to bed to scroll through her phone. Her right hand instinctively reached towards her right hip, wanting to touch her pocket.

Before I knew it, I had missed.

Yin Xiao suddenly snapped out of her daze and looked down at the spaghetti strap nightgown she was wearing.

I almost forgot, today I'm not wearing my usual panda head pajamas, but a white lace camisole that my sister Yin Yi recommended via a link.

There's a ghost's pocket.

She pouted awkwardly, carefully raised her hand, tugged at the lanyard around her neck, and touched the smooth, delicate fabric.

This is the first time I've worn it today... I'm not used to it, but it really looks good.

She's starting to like this tank top.

But what exactly does her sister mean by "increasing fun"...?

"Ah ah..."

She crawled back into bed, covered her burning face, and rolled around on the bed frantically a few times.

Her breathing became rapid, and her throat was unbearably dry. She threw off the covers, rolled out of bed without stopping, grabbed a knitted shawl from the bed, put it on, and walked towards the living room.

Yi Zhiyan was standing in the corner of the living room, talking on the phone. He was wearing a simple white T-shirt and a Bluetooth earpiece. Every now and then, he would raise his hand to press the back of his neck and twist it, his posture relaxed.

He received a call from Lu Wen after taking a shower; he sounded very urgent. He didn't mention it, but Yin Xiao guessed it was about the company. She quietly walked through the living room, not wanting to disturb him.

She walked to the other side, opened the refrigerator, and glanced over the rows of colorful cans before picking up the only green can inside. There was no flavor label, nor the expected lime picture. She flipped it over and saw a line of strange symbols.

Like Italian or Russian?

Never mind, the owner said when I checked in that all drinks would be free.

Yin Xiao decisively pulled the tab, rested one hand on the cool countertop, and sniffed it, discovering it was a rich, sweet green apple scent.

The juice was too sweet. She turned away somewhat dejectedly, bent her knees against the table, and still took two sips.

A drop of condensation from the jar dripped onto the back of her hand. She wiped it off casually and looked up at the floor-to-ceiling window directly in front of her.

A small window in the upper right corner was ajar, and the hazy sound of waves drifted in, mingling with the gentle breeze, creating a distant and dreamlike atmosphere.

Yi Zhiyan walked to the window, raised his hand to pull the blackout curtain, turned his headphones, frowned, and a flash of obvious impatience crossed his face.

He stood under the bright yellow overhead light, the light and shadow gradually softening his sharp eyebrows and eyes, and even his expression relaxed a lot.

Yin Xiao placed the apple juice on the table, and as if possessed, raised her hand, stretched out her fingers to make a crooked square frame, and framed Yi Zhiyan in it.

Unlike the first time I accidentally captured him in a photo, this time the only person in the frame is him.

As the camera zooms in, the figures gradually become blurry.

"Hmm?" Yin Xiao squeezed her eyes shut and suddenly felt an uncontrollable dizziness.

She steadied herself on the edge of the table, rested her head on her hand for a moment, and then belatedly looked at the half-finished apple juice.

Oh no, could it be a fruit bar? This feels so familiar...

She clearly sensed that the thread of her taut reason had loosened.

Clang.

A sudden, loud noise rang out in the living room.

Yi Zhiyan hesitated for a moment before taking off one of her earphones, glancing down at the cotton and linen storage basket that had rolled to her feet, and then noticing out of the corner of her eye the bar stool lying overturned next to the sofa.

What's going on?

He gripped his earphones, turned around hastily, and before he could react, he was embraced by a white figure. Delicate skin pressed against his neck, and a sweet, pungent fruity scent assaulted his senses.

Before he could even process it, he instinctively put his arm around Yin Xiao's slender shoulders, lifted her slipping cardigan, and expertly ruffled her fluffy hair.

My breathing on the side of my neck was rapid and somewhat erratic, coming in fits and starts, unconsciously disrupting my concentration.

He took a deep breath, tossed the earphones from his hand onto the table, placed his hands on her shoulders, and gently pushed her away.

Yin Xiao lazily raised her chin, squinted at him, her lips turned down, and her cheeks were noticeably flushed.

Yi Zhiyan sensed something was wrong and sniffed the air hard, but couldn't smell anything except the smell of bursting apple juice.

Yin Xiao tilted her head from side to side, perhaps feeling uncomfortable. Suddenly, she twisted her shoulders, raised her hand to slap his arm away, and her loose knitwear slipped down again with her movement.

The buttons on her chest were already undone, and now they hung crookedly at her waist, revealing the lace trim underneath.

The tank top she was wearing underneath was unfamiliar; it wasn't her usual one, and it looked like a thin layer against her skin. Large areas of skin were exposed, making her skin appear even whiter. Although it seemed somewhat incongruous with her arched eyebrows and eyes, it surprisingly complemented them.

"You..." Yi Zhiyan struggled to speak, his throat moving, almost unable to utter a word. His gaze couldn't find a place to rest, and he glanced at her smooth collarbone before looking away.

Yin Xiao puffed out her cheeks, glanced down, tugged at the tassel on her collarbone, and looked up at him. Her face was full of confusion, and her tone was somewhat aggrieved.

"Is it strange? I thought it looked great."

"Not surprising."

Yi Zhiyan felt a throbbing vein on his forehead and a buzzing in his ears, "It's very beautiful..."

Author's note: There will be one or two more chapters about the honeymoon, then I'll write about choker, and the side stories will all be sweet interactions!

But there might be some "what if" scenarios later: After Senior Yi mistakenly sets Junior Xiao Xiao's photo as his profile picture, the male lead might fight over it... [Let me see!]
