Chapter 477 Severe Anemia

When Yunbei heard this, he immediately quickened his pace. As soon as he entered the door, he saw Wang Meihua lying in the yard.

Yunbei walked quickly forward and squatted directly in front of Wang Meihua.

Yunbei first opened her eyes and looked at her. Seeing nothing unusual, he took her pulse.

After taking Wang Meihua's pulse, Yunbei couldn't help but frown. Wang Meihua had developed severe anemia due to malnutrition.

She and her husband receive a salary every month. Even though they have two children, it shouldn't have come to this, right?

While thinking about this, Yunbei picked up Wang Meihua and took her back to the room.

Then she said to Haiwa, "Haiwa, take care of your mother while I go back and get some things. Don't worry, your mother will be fine as long as I'm here."

"I understand. Thank you, auntie." Haiwa nodded and sobbed.

"Okay, don't cry. Auntie will be back soon."

After Yunbei finished speaking, he went straight home, took out a bag of brown sugar and some red dates from the cabinet, and then returned to Wang Meihua's house carrying the medicine box.

Yunbei first made a bowl of brown sugar water, and then used a silver needle to wake Wang Meihua up.

Wang Meihua woke up and saw Yunbei sitting at the head of her bed. She was stunned for a moment and asked, "Sister-in-law, why are you here?"

After asking, she slowly reacted and asked again: "What's wrong with me?"

Without waiting for Yunbei to answer, Haiwa rushed over to see his mother wake up, crying and shouting, "Mom, you're awake!"

"Haiwa, don't cry. Mommy's fine." Wang Meihua comforted the child while looking at Yunbei apologetically and said, "Sister-in-law, I'm sorry. Children are very noisy."

"Meihua, please don't say that. Haiwa is very well behaved. You just fainted. If I hadn't heard Haiwa crying, I wouldn't have known anything happened to you."

"Come on, drink this bowl of brown sugar water first to replenish your energy."

As Yunbei spoke, he handed the prepared brown sugar water to Wang Meihua.

Wang Meihua looked at the bowl of brown sugar water and hesitated to take it. She knew that she didn't have any brown sugar at home, so it must have been brought by Yunbei.

“Sister-in-law, I can’t drink something so valuable.”

Upon hearing this, Yunbei became angry, with a fierce face, and said, "You are a patient now, I am a doctor, you have to listen to me. Drink quickly, otherwise I will be angry."

"Sister-in-law, me?"

"I don't want to hear any more nonsense. Drink this sugar water quickly. Otherwise, do you want to faint again?"

After hearing this, Wang Meihua had no choice but to drink the brown sugar water.

After she finished drinking, she looked at Yunbei with an embarrassed look on her face and said, "Sister-in-law, I'm sorry for the expense. How much is the brown sugar? I'll give it to you later."

"Money doesn't matter. What matters is your health. The children need you."

"I see, sister-in-law. I don't know why I fainted when I was fine."

"What else can I do? It's malnutrition. You should be more careful in the future. Don't leave the good things for your children and men. Don't take your body lightly. You're lucky Haiwa was with you this time. Otherwise, if no one noticed your fainting, the consequences would be quite serious."

"I understand, sister-in-law, I will pay attention." Wang Meihua felt a little embarrassed.

It’s not that she doesn’t want to improve her nutrition, it’s just that she has been sending all her money back home recently.

Yunbei saw that she had taken his words to heart, so he didn't say much. She was just an outsider, so there were some things she couldn't say too much to avoid annoying others.

After making sure that Wang Meihua was fine, Yunbei went home carrying the medicine box.

Maybe it was because of the brown sugar water, but Wang Meihua felt much better, so she got out of bed and went to see Yunbei off.

After sending Yunbei off, she saw a bag of brown sugar and a bag of red dates on the dining table and almost cried.

Both of these things are hard to buy, but Yunbei brought so many of them. I estimate each one weighs about one kilogram. He really owes him a big favor.

Fortunately, her mother's illness has recovered, and she no longer needs to send money back every month. Once she saves some money, she will give back to Yunbei.

Yunbei didn't know what Wang Meihua was thinking. Both brown sugar and red dates were very expensive to others, but they were not that expensive to her.

Because she still had a lot of these two things in her space. If she only ate them by herself, it would probably take her several years to finish them.

After returning home, Yunbei didn't plan to go out. She looked at the yard and the vegetables planted in the yard and decided to take care of them.

The busy time passed quickly. In the blink of an eye, it was noon. Yunbei looked at the vegetable garden that was almost cleaned up and felt a sense of accomplishment.

Feeling a little hungry, she decided to cook first and do it later when she had time in the afternoon.

After dinner, Yunbei was not sleepy for a while. He looked at the unfinished yard and continued working.

Time flies, and summer vacation is here in the blink of an eye.

Yun Bei had just returned home from get off work that day when the guard ran over and asked her to answer the phone.

After picking up the phone, Yunbei was wondering who it was calling when he heard his father's long-lost voice.

"Dad, why is it you?"

It's no wonder Yunbei was surprised. This was the first time his father had called since he came here. Normally, they kept in touch through letters, which they exchanged almost monthly.

This month, she hadn't received a letter from her father yet, thinking it would take a few days to arrive. Unexpectedly, she received a phone call from her father.

"Why, I can't call you?" Yun He on the other end of the phone had a smile on his face. If it wasn't an emergency, he wouldn't call Yun Bei.

Compared to phone calls, he still prefers correspondence. He can express everything in a letter, and he doesn't have to worry about saying too much and incurring extra charges.

"Yes, why not? I just find it strange."

"Nothing strange." Yun He smiled, then said, "I called you this time mainly to tell you that your brother wants to come over to your place during the holidays. Coincidentally, a friend of mine is going there on a business trip, so I'll let your brother go with him. When the time comes, you can just go to the station to pick him up."

"Fu Guang is coming over. That's great. I miss him so much after not seeing him for so long."

Yunbei was very happy when she heard that her younger brother was coming. This younger brother was also her adopted brother, and the two of them had a very deep relationship.

If she hadn't just arrived here and had a mission to accomplish, and Fu Guang had just reunited with his parents and she didn't want to separate them, she would have brought him here.

"He misses you too. He says he wants to call you every day, but I just don't let him."

"Dad, you are so mean, why don't you let him call me."

"It's the same with writing letters."

The father and daughter talked for a while. Yunbei wrote down the train number of Fuguang and then hung up the phone.
