Chapter 64 Falling off a cliff

Yunbei sensed a malicious intent and dodged to the side nimbly. The moment she dodged, a figure flew past her and plummeted down the mountain.

A scream reached Yunbei's ears, filling her eyes with coldness. She had already recognized from her clothes that the person who had fallen off the cliff was Huang Xiaocao.

Fortunately, she had been on guard against him. Otherwise, she would have been the one to fall off the cliff.

Originally, she separated from Huang Xiaocao because she didn't want this kind of situation to happen. But Huang Xiaocao actually followed her and even pushed her from behind while she was picking ginseng.

Now, she fell down by herself, and it was her own fault.

Yunbei glanced at the foot of the mountain, picked the ginseng quickly, and then did not stay on the mountain for long, and ran directly back to the family compound.

She had to find someone to save Huang Xiaocao, otherwise if time went on, she might be in great danger.

If the other person didn't want to harm her, she would definitely save him immediately. But, she couldn't save someone who wanted to harm her.

She was not a saint, and she could not do such things as repaying evil with kindness. She always liked to repay evil with evil.

Huang Xiaocao wanted to harm her, but she didn't retaliate, which was already a sign of her mercy. Otherwise, if she wanted to kill him, it would be easy.

Yunbei returned to the family compound and first told Si Nanzhao what had happened. He told him this because, firstly, he wanted him to have a clear idea of what was going on, as they were now one, and secondly, he wanted to see if Si Nanzhao and he shared the same values.

After hearing Yun Bei's words, Si Nanzhao looked at her with a worried look on his face and asked, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I was always on guard against her. So when she pushed me from behind, I dodged it."

"I'm glad you're okay. Huang Xiaocao fell off the cliff, it was her own fault. Since she wanted to harm others, she must bear the consequences of not being able to harm others but hurting herself. However, she is from the family compound after all. Go to the square to find someone, and bring a few more people into the mountains to bring her back."

"good."

Yunbei saw that Si Nanzhao didn't think she had done anything wrong, and a smile appeared on her face. It seemed that Si Nanzhao was similar to herself in this respect.

Yunbei went to the square to find someone to help.

It was already past three in the afternoon, and many military families were playing with their children in the square.

Yunbei stepped forward and said to everyone, "Sisters-in-law, something bad has happened. I just came down from the mountain and saw Sister Huang Xiaocao fall from halfway up the mountain. I can't get her back by myself, so I came back to ask for help."

When the military wives heard that Huang Xiaocao had fallen down the mountain, their expressions changed. Although they didn't like Huang Xiaocao very much, they were all military wives and worked together. Now that Huang Xiaocao was in trouble, they naturally couldn't just sit back and watch.

So, he sent someone to make a phone call to inform the troops, and left two sisters-in-law to look after the children, while the rest of the people followed Yunbei and went up the mountain.

Before leaving, Yunbei thought that Huang Xiaocao must have fallen hard and might have injured her hands or feet, so he suggested bringing a stretcher or a large wooden board.

It just so happened that one of my sister-in-laws had a stretcher at home, so she took it with her.

Yunbei knew the approximate location where Huang Xiaocao fell, so he found him quickly.

The military wives were shocked when they saw Huang Xiaocao lying on the ground, not knowing whether she was alive or dead.

Finally, there was someone brave enough who stepped forward and called her a few times, making sure that she was still breathing before heaving a sigh of relief.

Yunbei breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the other person was not dead. Although Huang Xiaocao had brought this upon herself, she did not want to see her die.

The wives of the soldiers discussed it and decided to carry the man back. Fortunately, they had come with a stretcher. Otherwise, they wouldn't know how to get the man back.

Before everyone prepared to put Huang Xiaocao on the stretcher, Yunbei briefly checked the other party's injuries.

One hand and one foot were broken, and the rest of his body had some scrapes. The most serious injury was probably his head, which was bruised and bleeding.

After taking a look, Yunbei, as a doctor, couldn't help but find some herbs nearby to temporarily stop her bleeding.

After everything was done, Huang Xiaocao was put on a stretcher, and then they walked towards the family quarters together.

Halfway through the journey, they met the soldiers sent by the army. Seeing that Huang Xiaocao was seriously injured, they immediately took over the work of the sisters-in-law and carried the man away quickly.

After returning to the family compound, Yunbei separated from everyone.

When Si Nanzhao saw Yunbei coming back, he immediately asked, "How's it going? Did you bring the person back?"

"Brought him back. Someone from the army came and took Huang Xiaocao away on the way. They should have sent him to the hospital by now."

"That's good." Si Nanzhao nodded. Even if the person wasn't sent to the hospital, they would be sent to the clinic first.

The army doesn’t have a hospital here, but there is a clinic that can treat simple illnesses such as colds, stomachaches, and minor bumps and bruises.

Huang Xiaocao's condition was quite serious and the doctors at the clinic were unable to treat her, so she was sent directly to the county hospital.

When Dean Yang saw Huang Xiaocao, he examined her personally.

When he saw the hemostatic medicine on Huang Xiaocao's head, he couldn't help but ask, "Who did this?"

The soldiers who were sent here didn't know, so they all shook their heads. Dean Yang saw that they didn't know, so he didn't ask any more questions.

Instead, Huang Xiaocao was sent directly to the clinic for further examination. Broken limbs are easy to treat, just reattach them.

The problem is in the brain, and Director Yang is worried that it might be intracranial hemorrhage.

However, after the examination, Director Yang breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, it was only an external injury and there was no problem inside the brain.

Huang Xiaocao was lucky, as she fell onto a grassy slope. Her broken arms and legs, as well as the wound on her head, were all caused by being hit by a tree.

If it were a stone, she would probably be finished.

Dean Yang asked someone to treat Huang Xiaocao's wounds, and then he personally fixed her broken limbs.

Huang Xiaocao was awakened by the pain when Director Yang was fixing her foot. She couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief when she saw herself in the hospital.

But when he thought about how he got hurt and became like this, all because of Yunbei, he felt hatred in his heart again.

However, she soon had no time to hate Yunbei, because she not only felt dizzy, but also wanted to vomit.

Dean Yang saw that she had suffered a concussion and immediately sent for some medication to alleviate her symptoms.

After taking the medicine, Huang Xiaocao felt better and decided to take revenge on Yunbei.

Only she and Yunbei went up the mountain at noon today, which was a perfect opportunity to shift the blame and confuse right and wrong.

So, she said to Director Yang, "Doctor, could you please ask our military leader to come over? I have something to report."
