Wen Ni is really dead? They weren't lying to him?
"What's wrong with you? I can't understand a word you're saying!" Wen Ni said coldly.
"Excuse me."
Lu Jinye lowered his eyes.
He was somewhat lost and dejected; the glimmer of light in his eyes had vanished completely in that instant. He staggered past Wen Ni, went into the bathroom, and closed the door…
The deliberate anger from before still lingered on Wen Ni's face, and she couldn't help but tighten her grip, forcing herself not to look back even once more!
Outside the courtyard, tree branches swayed among the weeds.
Wen Ni walked briskly, as if nothing had happened, and returned to her room alone.
For the next two days, Lu Jinye left early and returned late, and things remained relatively peaceful between them.
On the last day of the three-day leave granted by Blind Thorn, Wen Ni rented a car and headed back to northern Myanmar early in the morning.
