Chapter 584 A Little Trick, A Delightful Kill
At the checkpoint, the remaining surviving Burmese soldiers were about to lay down obstacle anchors, but they had only laid half of them when a military vehicle with its headlights flashing came speeding towards them! The military vehicle crashed straight through the roadblock and headed straight for the other half of the narrow road!
With one wheel pressing down on the roadblock, the vehicle accelerates upwards and leaps over it, while the other wheel dangles in mid-air, only 0.01 meters from the sharp iron anchor. Although dangerous, the vehicle passes safely!
The military vehicle's engine roared violently as it sped away before everyone's eyes, landed steadily, and then accelerated into the endless night!
"Holy shit!"
"This works??"
"Performing stunts!!"
The Burmese soldiers' sighs and curses mingled together.
"Still watching? Get back to chasing after him right now!"
The brigade commander of the Burmese First Brigade raised his hand and slapped the soldier's helmet.
The soldiers then came to their senses, and one by one they mounted their guns, boarded the vehicles, and rushed out of the camp.
Visibility is poor at night, making it difficult to catch people, but catching a car is relatively much easier.
"Miss Wen Ni, they're catching up!" Qin Yuan, in the passenger seat, kept glancing at the rearview mirror, looking somewhat nervous. "Even though the whole city is without power, this is still an urban area with too many obstacles and narrow, dense roads. Driving a military vehicle like this is too conspicuous. No matter where we go, we'll eventually be discovered and caught."
“They’re chasing us hard, but we can’t shake them off. For now, it seems we can only implement Plan B!” Wen Ni said calmly and confidently.
She jerked the steering wheel sharply to the right, drifting at a wide angle, and drove the heavy military vehicle southeast!
"First Brigade Commander! These Chinese dogs have suddenly changed their route and are heading towards the ruined city in the southeast!"
"What?" In the car that was relentlessly pursuing them, the brigade commander of the Burmese army grabbed his binoculars.
"That place has long been bombarded to pieces by our shells, there's nowhere to hide. If they weren't just panicking and running blindly, then they must have set up an ambush beforehand?" the accompanying staff officer pondered.
"Ambush? How many soldiers do they have left? How dare they ambush so many of us? Hmph! I bet they've already run out of ammunition and food, and they might not even have the weapons to set up an ambush! Don't be afraid! Chase, keep chasing!" The brigade commander of the Burmese tribe gave the order directly.
Military vehicles drove through the city and stopped in front of the ruins.
"Gone without a trace?"
Where did they hide?
The Burmese people were puzzled.
The car headlights flickered, and behind the ruins they swept, it seemed as if a crowd of people were moving about, with the shadows of trees swaying!
Someone's there!?
Before they could react.
Bullets flew in from all directions, forming an encirclement, and the attack was extremely fierce!
"An ambush! It really was an ambush set up by the Chinese!"
"What do we do, brigade commander?!"
"They seem to have quite a few people. Should we...should we wait and see?"
In the shadows of the ruins, a Chinese soldier's helmet flashed by once more.
The Burmese people shuddered.
"The fact that those Chinese soldiers have been besieged for so long and still have the energy to fight us is enough to show that they are all desperate criminals. If they really go crazy, we may not be able to handle them!" The staff officer was a little scared and took a step back to stand behind the bulletproof car.
"Well, judging from my eyes, there are at least several dozen people on the other side. No, we don't have enough men. If we go any further, we'll just be throwing our lives away!" In his haste, the brigade commander of the Burmese tribe dared not advance rashly. His eyes darted around. "Chief of staff, you take some men and stay behind to deal with them! I... I'll go back and get reinforcements!"
"Ah? First Brigade Commander, I...I'd better go back with you first!" The chief of staff jumped into the car nimbly. "Captain Magu, you're in charge of keeping an eye on things here!"
"Ah? No, this, I..."
Captain Magu and his team of more than ten people were left behind.
There is also an armored car.
A fierce wind howled in front of him, and a bullet struck the rear of the car with a clang, startling Magu so much that he turned around to get back into the car!
"Whoosh! Bang!"
A bullet whizzed through the night sky.
It pierced straight into the back of Captain Magu's head!
Blood splattered through the hole, staining the passenger-side window. As Captain Magu fell to the ground, a gruesome trail of blood stretched across the floor.
"It's a Chinese sniper! There's a sniper lurking in the shadows!"
"Retreat quickly! Let's get to the rear first!"
The remaining team members were terrified and tried to run away.
A group of fewer than ten Chinese soldiers suddenly rushed out and blocked their path! The one in the lead was lean and strong, none other than Officer Bai Chong, who had infiltrated the Cong Ran Army camp with Wen Ni!
Bai Chong gripped his gun tightly, his gaze fierce as he swept it across the faces of the Burmese soldiers. "Since you're already here, you might as well leave your lives behind!"
"Pah! You think you can stop us?!" The Burmese deputy captain spat, then turned around and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Brothers! They don't outnumber us! Quick! Let's kill these Chinese dogs together!"
The vice-captain had barely finished speaking when another bullet pierced the back of his head.
The remaining Burmese team members turned around in a daze.
What you see is a tall girl walking out of the ruins under the cover of night!
She wore only a white shirt, yellow military trousers, and black leather boots, with a rifle resting on one hand, her eyes cold and aloof!
"Though we are few in number, each of us is worth ten!" she said, pointing downwards at the ruins beneath her feet. "Today, let your dirty blood serve as a tribute to the heroic souls of our fallen warriors!"
"What...what are you going to do?" The remaining Burmese soldiers, now leaderless, were filled with fear and raised their guns to fight back.
"Bai Chong." Wen Ni's thin lips parted slightly, her cold voice carrying through the howling wind, "Kill them!"
"yes!"
Bai Chong and the others raised their guns without hesitation.
"Bang bang bang!"
A deafening gunshot rang out, and blood seeped into the earth, a solace to the departed souls...
The Burmese military vehicles that were evacuating towards the camp came to an abrupt halt after hearing the gunshot!
A brigade commander on the bus slammed his fist against his thigh. After calming down, he exclaimed in realization, "Damn it! Those cunning Chinese! They're bluffing me! Turn around! Go back and catch them! Don't let them get away!"
"Brigade Commander, if we go back now, I'm afraid... it will be too late."
The chief of staff swallowed hard.
They leaned out of the window and saw flames shooting into the sky from the ruins to the southeast behind them!
The military vehicles transporting supplies had been burned down to their skeletons.
Everything inside the carriage had vanished.
"Hahahaha! That's great!"
"It's all thanks to Wen Ni's quick thinking that she knew to have us hide behind the ruins and pretend there were many people, which scared away that cowardly brigade commander!"
"Right now, I guess... that brigade commander has realized... that we tricked him, right?"
"It's too late to realize it now, we've already carried everything back!"
Bai Chong led his men back to their camp, chatting and laughing.
Wen Ni and Qin Yuan walked ahead.
As soon as they entered, they were stopped by the company commander of the reconnaissance company!
"Wen Ni! Where did you all run off to?"
The company commander frowned, looking Wen Ni up and down suspiciously.
"At this critical juncture, while we're all busy collecting ammunition, you guys are out of the loop, missing all night, and still laughing so happily? Brigade Commander Liang even said you came from the special forces, ha, I really don't know what special forces are. Don't you even follow the most basic military rules and discipline? Or do you think you're something special just because you took Cong Ran's head? You think you're all that?"
