As the sun sets, the continuous peaks of the Tianshan Mountains are half covered by the afterglow of the setting sun, and the sea of clouds is rolling and the clouds are flowing red.
Feng Yi sat at the top of Piaomiao Peak, looking at the magnificent scenery, but his mood was as heavy as the setting sun. The pot of wine in his hand had already been drunk.
"Brother, what are you thinking about?"
A fragrant breeze blew over, and A Zi said behind him.
Feng Yi sighed sadly: "I thought they could survive."
Ah Zi said dimly: "Didn't you say that it would be a happy thing if they were buried together?" Then she sat down next to Feng Yi.
Feng Yi turned around and saw Ah Zi's big, clear eyes filled with tears and a very sad expression.
Facing the beautiful woman who was as delicate as a spring flower and extremely graceful, Feng Yi could not help but embrace her in his arms, thinking: "How could she know that in the original plot, Tong Lao and Li Qiu Shui still died together, but Xu Zhu could not stop it, and I could not change it. For me, this is a failure. Saying that is just a forced way to save face."
Then I heard Ah Zi say: "Actually, I understand them very well. They have loved Grandpa Wuyazi all their lives, and now he is dead. If they don't stay with him through life and death, then everything they have insisted on in their lives will be in vain, and it will make us, the younger generation, laugh at them!"
Feng Yi sighed: "Maybe."
Ah Zi said: "This is true. If you die one day, I will never be the only one left. I will follow you!"
This simple sentence is better than thousands of expressions of nostalgia. Another thought arose in Feng Yi's mind. In the final analysis, the tragedy of Wuyazi and his companions lies in their infidelity and their fickleness. Although I have not been fickle-minded, I am actually more fickle than him.
Like Tong Lao, A Zi is a devoted person. Judging from the original story, there is no doubt that she dug out her eyes and jumped off the cliff.
Thinking about it, Mei, Lan, Zhu and Ju are even less worldly-wise than A Zi. Their fate in the original plot was to marry other people, which might not be worse than following me, a person who has no tomorrow but today.
I can suppress my desire for Huang Wan'er, so why can't I suppress my thoughts on plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum? Could it be that the quadruplets are the reason why I have never tasted them?
As I thought about it, I suddenly felt overwhelmed with sorrow and couldn't console myself.
Seeing Feng Yi remained silent for a long time, Ah Zi pressed her face against his chest, leaned her body into his arms, and said, "Don't worry, grandma not only taught me martial arts, but also taught me the immortal longevity skill.
She also said that if I killed Li Qiushui, she would pass on all her skills to me. She just asked me to treat plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum well and never hurt them because of jealousy. I promised it a long time ago. "
Feng Yi saw tears rolling down her cheeks one by one in her big eyes, but a smile appeared at the corner of her mouth. Her red lips, set against the white skin beside her lips, were truly beautiful.
This made Feng Yi feel puzzled. He didn't know why Ah Zi became more and more beautiful. He didn't know whether it was the effect of his skills or due to his training.
She cursed herself for being shameless. Without her, she was still as beautiful as before. She smiled sadly and said, "As the saying goes, gold is not pure, and people are not perfect. You and grandma may have many things that are not accepted by the public and criticized by people, but your loyalty in love is indeed shameful.
I heard that it is easy to love someone, but it is difficult to love only one person for a lifetime. If love is not true, no matter how beautiful the words are, it is not beautiful. This is fully embodied in Wuyazi, Tonglao, and Li Qiushui.
But Wuyazi didn't know who he loved, but he also left a true word. However, someone once said that I love everyone, but it seems that I love no one, and I only love myself. Now I feel it more and more deeply. "
Ah Zi smiled and said, "Brother, this person is a woman, right? Who is she?"
Feng Yi smiled bitterly and said, "Azi, I have always told you not to hurt people easily, but the people I have killed and the people who have been hurt by me are more than the people you have seen in the past ten years, so I think a little devil like you is a perfect match for me.
But sometimes I think that a lustful man like me is not worthy of you, because I don’t even have the courage like your father to die for the woman he loves.
Fortunately, Tong Lao and Li Qiu Shui have been buried, and I have made all the necessary arrangements. You and I should just enjoy our world together. Just consider this as my explanation to you!"
Ah Zi raised her beautiful eyebrows, her eyes turned, and she said, "You are grateful to me in your heart, so you don't have to wrong yourself. If you leave like this, Mei, Lan, Zhu, and Ju, those girls..."
Feng Yi interrupted her and said, "You don't have to say anything. If Tong Lao hadn't died, and she had asked Mei, Lan, Zhu and Ju to follow me, I would have been very happy. I could have regarded this as a reward and gladly accepted it.
But since she is dead, I can't change anything. The result will be the same no matter who comes to my place. I would feel unworthy of her favor again.
If you and them don’t live well in the future, I won’t be able to rest in peace no matter which world I go to. Leaving like this may be the best ending!"
Ah Zi raised her head and looked at him solemnly. Although she didn't know why he had such thoughts, she felt that it was a heartfelt statement from the bottom of his heart. She blinked and two lines of tears rolled down.
Feng Yi knew that her delicate heart was full of sorrow during this period, so he naturally felt endless pity for her. He seemed to have completely changed into a different person, and wiped away her tears with great tenderness, saying, "I have already explained the matter of Lingjiu Palace to Yu Po. You must practice martial arts diligently in the future. Only by becoming stronger can you face any difficulties!"
After saying this, he picked up Ah Zi and floated away.
Plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum walked out from behind a rock, with a slightly sad expression and tears in their eyes. They stared at the two of them until they could no longer see them.
They knew that Feng Yi knew they were coming, and his last words were addressed to them sisters.
Mei Jian said faintly: "The Lord is not a bad person as the sisters said."
Lan Jian nodded, with tears on her face, and said with a smile: "The men that grandma and the sisters met were all bad, but the Lord is not bad."
Zhu Jian sighed and said, "But now that the Lord has left like this, I don't know when he will come back."
Ju Jian continued, "Why don't we follow them?"
Mei Jian frowned slightly and said, "But the Lord told us to practice martial arts well, how can we not obey?"
Zhu Jian said: "Sister Fu said that capable men like women to listen to him."
The girls were silent for a while, but Ju Jian said, "But grandma said that women are weak by nature, and they should have their own way in everything..."
The sisters' eyes lit up.
…
Feng Yi knew that the Shaolin Temple Heroes Conference was still a long way off, so he and A Zi went down the Tianshan Mountains, but they did not walk fast.
The green water and green grass, people, horses, camels and sheep are very interesting. When you see the herdsmen, don't forget to enjoy the unique whole lamb feast and mare's milk wine.
Before leaving, he bought two strong camels and horses from the herdsmen and continued his journey.
The two men crossed the mountains and passed through Jiayuguan, Jincheng, and Chang'an. They did not forget to enjoy the mountains and rivers on the way, and did not miss any of the famous Taoist mountains such as Kongtong Mountain and Zhongnan Mountain.
Ah Zi was extremely happy with Feng Yi by her side, while Feng Yi was searching for memories of another world in some places.
After all, Mount Zhongnan is not only found in the world of The Return of the Condor Heroes.
So it only took half a month to reach Henan, but Feng Yi and A Zi took three full months.
As time went by, both of them forgot their unhappiness and their feelings became stronger, not to mention Feng Yi's good fortune along the way.
That day they entered Henan and arrived at the foot of Mount Song. Looking at the towering and majestic Mount Song from afar, Feng Yi couldn't help but sigh: "People say that among the Five Mountains, Song is the most majestic, and its imposing manner overwhelms all other mountains. It really lives up to its reputation!"
Ah Zi had never been to Songshan before, and smiled and said, "Hearing you say that, I really want to go there. However, people say that Shaolin Temple is famous all over the world and is the best in the martial arts world.
But why are Qiao Feng and Murong Fu the most famous in the martial arts world?
Are they just famous for nothing? Can they beat you and Xiaoyao Sect's martial arts?"
Feng Yi smiled and said, “Shaolin Temple is after all a temple for monks, not laymen.
When it comes to martial arts, Shaolin is better or Xiaoyao is better. In fact, each has its own strengths, so how can there be a difference between them?
It’s simply that the Shaolin Temple thinks that all martial arts in the world come from their temple, and the Xiaoyao Sect thinks that they are invincible.
In fact, it’s all just a matter of personal attainments.
As for whether I can defeat Shaolin, it is better to leave some unfinished feelings behind, so that I can have a life state of infinite taste!"
It was not yet the twelfth lunar month, and it was still early for the Heroes Conference. Not many people came to the foot of Songshan Mountain at this time. The two found an inn and planned to rest for a night before visiting Taishi Mountain in Songshan Mountain tomorrow.
The next morning, after Feng Yi and A Zi washed up and got ready, they heard a knock on the door. Feng Yi said, "Come in."
When the door opened, it was Xuan Nan, the head monk of Shaolin Damo Temple.
When he saw Ah Zi, he didn't know whether to advance or retreat.
Feng Yi sighed inwardly: "Shaolin Temple is indeed very well connected." He said: "Master Xuannan, why are you here?"
Xuan Nan clasped his hands together and said, "The abbot of my sect learned that Master Feng was coming, so he asked me to come and invite you to the mountain."
Feng Yi was stunned and said, "How can I be worthy of the Grand Master's personal reception?"
Xuan Nan smiled and said, "Of course, of course. If you hadn't helped, Junior Brother Xuan Tong and I would have been killed by Ding Chunqiu. If Junior Brother Xuan Tong hadn't been in seclusion, he would have come with me."
Feng Yi smiled and said, "It's just a small favor. Master, you are too polite."
Ah Zi smiled and said, "Brother, they have come to welcome us, let's just go up the mountain now."
Feng Yi nodded and said, "Then I'll trouble you, Master."
Xuan Nan took his hand and said with a smile: "We are all looking forward to it, so why bother?"
Feng Yi had no choice but to follow. After they walked out of the store, there were eight Shaolin disciples standing on both sides. When they saw Xuan Nan coming out, they bowed to Feng Yi and A Zi and immediately led the way.
In this generation, Shaolin Temple is the living Bodhisattva for everyone. When they saw Xuannan wearing a yellow cassock, even if they did not recognize him, they knew that he had an extraordinary status, and they all whispered to each other.
Who are these perfect couple that deserve such a grand reception at Shaolin Temple, like a wealthy family welcoming their daughter-in-law with a sedan chair carried by eight people.
Feng Yi and his companions were all experts in Qing Kung Fu. Soon, they saw the continuous and majestic peaks of Mount Shaoshi and the towering and majestic Shaolin Temple, which was famous in the martial arts world, with buildings lined up in the clouds.
Ah Zi said in surprise: "This is indeed a large Buddhist temple forest!"
Feng Yi smiled and said, "Of course, Shaolin Temple is the ancestral home of Zen Buddhism, how can it be considered trivial?"
Before they reached the temple gate, they saw more than twenty old monks with flowing white beards coming to greet them.
Feng Yi arrived at the foot of Songshan Mountain ahead of time. Abbot Xuanci was also quite surprised when he heard the news. Fortunately, Master Xuannan, the head monk of the Dharma Academy, came down the mountain to greet him. He even led 25 monks of the Xuan generation in the temple to welcome him in person at the temple gate.
Feng Yi was also greatly surprised by this. Shaolin Temple has always been known as the leader of the martial arts world, and they welcomed him with such a grand ceremony. If this matter were to spread to the world, his reputation in the martial arts world would be unmatched.
"Amitabha!"
Ah Zi saw a tall monk wearing a red cassock, with a ruddy face, clasping his hands together and saying, "I am sorry for not being able to welcome you two in person, what a sin, what a sin!"
Feng Yi clasped his fists in return and said in a clear voice: "Shaolin Temple is the ancestral home of Zen Buddhism. The masters are well-known in the martial arts world. Feng and my wife feel extremely honored to have the opportunity to meet you. How dare we trouble the masters to come and welcome us in person? We are truly ashamed!"
Feng Yi is young, famous in the martial arts world, and has done a lot for Shaolin Temple, so he naturally deserves such a scene. However, when the monks saw how humble he is, they also developed a liking for him.
Abbot Xuanci smiled and said, "Master Feng defeated the old monster Xingxiu with great strength, and brought glory to the martial arts world. He also saved my two junior brothers Xuannan and Xuantong, as well as all the disciples under our sect. I and my fellow disciples are both grateful and miss you. How can we not welcome you?"
A senior monk of the Xuan generation said, "Although we have heard from Senior Brothers Xuan Nan and Xuan Tong, seeing is believing. Hero Feng is truly extraordinary and heroic!"
Feng Yi clasped his fists and said, "Master, thank you for your praise."
Abbot Xuanci extended his hand and said solemnly, "Please!"
Feng Yi glanced at A Zi. Shaolin Temple never received female guests, but she was wearing women's clothes. In order to save Shaolin's face, he took out a hat.
The latest novel is published first on Liu9shuba!
But Abbot Xuanci said, "The Diamond Sutra says that there is no human form, no sentient being form, no life form, and no life form. Donors do not need to be obsessed with men and women. Please!"
Without mentioning Feng Yi's reputation, just mentioning that Feng Yi saved Xuan Nan and Xuan Tong's lives, he deserved the respect of all the monks. What's the point of bringing a young woman into the temple? Besides, she directly said that this was her wife, so he couldn't welcome one and keep another. In this way, the meaning of welcoming would be lost.
Because that is not selling friendship, but creating resentment.
The old monk had no wife, and he knew that no man would allow himself to lose face in front of his beloved woman.
Feng Yi bowed slightly and sighed, "It is Feng who is obsessed."
After entering the temple gate and arriving at the Main Hall, everyone exchanged greetings and then served vegetarian food in the side hall.
There were eight vegetarian delicacies, snow bud tea, square persimmon cakes, jade millet soup, flour sugar cakes, Liuhe ginseng soup, everything you could think of. It really was a great deal of thought put into the dishes.
Feng Yi and A Zi took a few bites and found it fragrant and sweet. It was also delicious, and perhaps not everyone in Shaolin Temple could use it.
In the evening, someone took Feng Yi and A Zi to the Zen room to rest.
The furnishings in the house were similar to those in Lingjiu Palace, very quaint, with bronze bells and iron stoves, as well as some bronze tripods and pottery vases similar to those in Lingjiu Palace. There was a huge glazed lamp in the hall, hanging from the ceiling. The flame was as big as a bowl, emitting colorful colors. On the altar was a huge candle as thick as a child's arm, with the flame rising more than half a foot high, occasionally making a "peeling" sound, but no other sound.
Feng Yi thought, "With today's appearance, I can go to the Sutra Library tomorrow on the pretext of watching Buddhist teachings. If I see the old man sweeping the floor, I can get a feel for him first. Don't challenge him to a fight and then fail. That would be embarrassing."
He was thinking in his heart, but Ah Zi was full of curiosity. She pushed open the window, looked around from time to time, listened to the noises from time to time, and said: "Aren't there thousands of monks in this Shaolin Temple? How can it be so quiet after nightfall!"
Feng Yi smiled and said, "Shaolin Temple is the ancestral temple of Zen Buddhism after all, and the precepts are strict."
Ah Zi curled her lips and said, "Has there never been an unworthy disciple?"
Feng Yi shook his head and said, "What you said is not right. Throughout history, which sect has no unworthy disciples? In comparison, Shaolin Temple has many monks and few bad people in the martial arts world, but the disciplines are strict.
Just like in the secular world, when someone says that a certain place has good public security, does that mean there are no lawbreakers in that place? "
Ah Zi said "oh".
Feng Yi smiled and said, "The air here is refreshing, and it's a good time for you to practice your magic." Ah Zi immediately sat down to meditate and practiced her skills.
The next morning, after Feng Yi and A Zi had breakfast, they suddenly heard loud and continuous ringing of bells.
Master Xuan Nan came and asked him to be a witness. Feng Yi was very suspicious and brought A Zi with him to the main hall.
Then I saw two rows of monks on duty in the hall, wearing bright robes.
After entering, the hall was filled with the smell of incense and candles, and thousands of monks had already stood in their original positions.
The atmosphere in the Great Hall was so solemn that even the sound of breathing could be heard. It was obvious that an unusual ceremony was about to take place.
But when Feng Yi and A Zi entered the hall, they saw many monks who were unaware of this and were extremely surprised. It was unprecedented that a woman entered the Shaolin Temple.
But seeing that it was the head monk of the Dharma Hall who led the group, although he did not know who the two men were, he knew that they must be extraordinary people and must be distinguished guests of our temple.
Feng Yi and A Zi were arranged by Xuan Nan to sit at the right guest seats, and Xuan Nan walked into the back hall.
Ah Zi was a very active person, but she was also shocked by the solemn posture and did not dare to speak.
Feng Yi was just wondering what Shaolin Temple was up to when he heard the bell ring three times and the monks chanted the Buddha's name in unison: "Namo Sakyamuni Tathagata Buddha!"
Abbot Xuanci and eight eminent monks of the Xuan generation, accompanied by six other monks, slowly walked out from the back hall.
All the monks in the hall bowed in greeting.
The clothes of the six monks were different from those of Shaolin Temple. They were slightly surprised when they saw Ah Zi.
Xuan Ci and others began to worship the Buddha statue in the hall, so the six of them had to worship together, and then sat cross-legged on the cushions as host and guest.
Feng Yi recognized the eight eminent monks of the Shaolin Temple with the surname Xuan, namely Xuan Nan, Xuan Tong, Xuan Du, Xuan Ji, Xuan Zhi, Xuan Yin, Xuan Gou and Xuan Shi. In addition, there were other eminent monks of the same generation sitting at the bottom.
The other six monks sat on the left, all of them were not young. The one sitting in the first seat was about seventy years old, short in stature, with bright eyes, and a majestic look when he looked around.
Abbot Xuanci looked solemn as he said to the monks of the temple, "This is the abbot of Qingliang Temple in Mount Wutai, Master Shenshan. Everyone, pay your respects."
After hearing this, all the monks were shocked and bowed to pay their respects to the Master of the Divine Mountain.
This sacred mountain hermit is extremely famous in the martial arts world, and is known together with Master Xuanci as the "Dragon Subduing" and "Tiger Subduing" Arhats. It is said that his martial arts skills are comparable to those of Abbot Xuanci.
However, Qingliang Temple is relatively small in scale, and its status in the martial arts world is far inferior to Shaolin Temple, and its reputation is not as good as Xuanci's. They all thought: "I heard that Master Shenshan thinks highly of himself. He once said that as a monk, it is inferior to ask about the worldly affairs of the martial arts world. He has always been unwilling to have any dealings with our temple. I wonder what important matter he came here today for.
Looking at Feng Yi and A Zi on the side, they both knew that the matter was serious.
Xuanci extended his hand to the other five monks and introduced them one by one.
It turned out that they were Master Guanxin of Daxiangguo Temple in Kaifeng Prefecture, Master Daoqing of Pudu Temple in Jiangnan, Master Juexian of Donglin Temple in Lushan, Master Rongzhi of Jingying Temple in Chang'an, and Master Shenyin of Qingliang Temple in Wutai Mountain, all of whom were junior brothers of Master Shenshan.
Master Guanxin and the other four monks all came from famous mountains and ancient temples. However, Daxiangguo Temple and Pudu Temple have always valued Buddhism over martial arts. Although these four monks are well-known in the martial arts world, their positions in their temples are not high. The monks of Shaolin Temple bowed and saluted. Master Guanxin and the others stood up and put their hands together to return the salute.
The head of the mountain trembled his long eyebrows, glanced at Feng Yi, and said in a cold voice: "What is the name of this donor?"
He was short in stature, but his voice was surprisingly loud, which startled the monks. However, he did not shout at the top of his voice, nor did he use his inner strength to deliberately shock people. His voice was just natural and loud.
Xuan Ci said: "This great hero Feng Yifeng, with his virtue and martial arts, is highly respected in the martial arts world. Today he and his wife have come to our temple. The eminent monks have come from afar, and I am glad to meet you all."
All the monks knew that Xuan Nan and Xuan Tong were saved by Feng Yi, and they were deeply grateful and bowed to him together.
Feng Yi stood up and clasped his fists in return, and A Zi had no choice but to follow his lead.
"Feng Yi?" The hermit of the Divine Mountain raised his eyebrows, looking suspicious, and asked, "But is it Feng Yi who killed the four evils of the world, the old monster of the Stars, and defeated the Great Wheel King and Gusu Murong alone?"
Feng Yi cupped his hands and said, "I don't deserve it."
The man on the mountain trembled slightly, then nodded and smiled at Feng Yi, clasped his hands together and said, "I am so sorry for my disrespect."
Several foreign monks had originally seen a woman appear in Shaolin Temple and were still despising the lax disciplines of Shaolin Temple, but when they heard that this person was Feng Yi, they all felt that there was nothing wrong with it.
The most famous figures in the martial arts world today are no longer "Qiao Feng in the North and Murong in the South", but the hero Feng Yifeng who killed the four evils in the world, the old monster of the stars, defeated the Great Wheel King and Murong in the South, and rescued the Shaolin monks.
It would be ridiculous if he and his wife were not allowed to enter Shaolin Temple.
After all, no matter how big the rules are, they can never constrain everyone.
Xuan Ci said: "These six masters are all great and virtuous people in Buddhism. Their arrival today is a great honor to our temple, so we have called everyone out to meet them.
I sincerely hope that the six masters will give lectures to spread the Buddhist teachings so that all monks in the temple can benefit from the teachings.”
The monk on the mountain said, “I don’t deserve it!” He went on to say, “Shaolin is a majestic temple that I have admired for a long time. I came here sixty years ago to seek ordination, but was rejected at the gate. I came back sixty years later, but the walls and tiles are still the same, but the people and things have changed. What a pity!”
Xuanci said: "So, my brother once came to Shaolin Temple to become a monk. All temples in the world are one family. My brother is presiding over the Qingliang ceremony today. All the disciples of the Buddhist sect admire him.
At that time, Shaolin Temple did not dare to accept me, which offended my senior brother. I respectfully thank you. But my senior brother created a new world and spread the Dharma, which is a great merit to Buddhism. What happened back then may also be a cause and effect in the future. "He put his hands together and bowed deeply.
The Master of Shenshan clasped his hands together in greeting and said, "When I came to the temple to seek ordination, I certainly admired the Shaolin Temple for its hundreds of years of leadership in the martial arts world and its profound martial arts heritage. More importantly, it was rumored that the Shaolin Temple had strict disciplines and handled things fairly."
Suddenly his eyes rolled up, gleaming with brilliance, he looked up at the golden statue of the Buddha, and said coldly: "Who knew that there are so many things in the world that are not worthy of their reputation. If I had known this, I would not have made the trip to Shaolin."
More than a thousand monks in the Shaolin Temple changed color at the same time, but the Shaolin Temple had strict disciplines, and although everyone was angry, no one made a sound.
"Haha," Ah Zi laughed, "I thought there was such a big fuss, it turns out you, an old monk, want to cause trouble for Shaolin Temple, interesting, interesting."
This Great Hall is a holy place dedicated to the Buddhas. Coupled with the imposing presence of the sacred mountain, the atmosphere in the venue was so solemn, yet she actually described it as interesting.
It can be seen that she is cute and innocent. The monks cannot argue with her, and the tense and explosive atmosphere at the beginning is also relieved a lot.
The Master of Shenshan said coldly, "Girl, this is a holy place of Buddhism, you can't talk nonsense, Master Feng, please control yourself."
Feng Yi said calmly: "The Master is a great monk from Qingliang Temple, famous throughout the world, please restrain your anger, I apologize here!"
