"Teacher Jiang? Teacher Jiang?...Teacher Jiang!"

Jiang Huali suddenly opened her eyes and saw a middle-aged woman wearing a black turtleneck sweater. She had three white eyes, downturned eyebrows, and a drooping mouth, giving her a fierce look. She was standing in front of her with her eyebrows furrowed.

"Director Luo, Teacher Jiang has a fever today. How about we have another teacher do the room checks for her tonight?"

A weak voice rang out from the side, sounding unsure of itself.

Director Luo's gaze pierced the speaker like a knife. "Teacher Zhao, everyone's work has been arranged. Are we going to change it so easily just because of her?"

Zhao Yu moved her lips, her face paled slightly, but she didn't say anything more.

Jiang Huali had a splitting headache. She was lying on a single bed, and her body was feeling cold in waves.

Looking around, she saw a dormitory room with two beds on each side. She was lying on one bed, while the teacher Zhao who had just spoken was sitting on the other bed.

Jiang Huali got out of bed without making a sound. Thinking about what she had just heard, she said weakly, "Director Luo, I understand. I'll go right away."

Her voice still betrayed the weakness of a high fever, and her face was as pale as a ghost.

Director Luo ignored Jiang Huali's weakness, and her expression improved slightly after hearing Jiang Huali's response.

"In five minutes, the students will be going to bed late, so you must be in the student dormitory before the bell rings."

After saying that, Director Luo left the dormitory.

Looks like they're going to do a room check.

Jiang Huali got out of bed, picked up the coat that was on the bedside table, and put it on.

Zhao Yu looked at her with some concern, "You..."

As if she had suddenly thought of something, she hesitated for a moment before continuing, "Teacher Jiang, if you're not feeling well, please go and come back quickly. Try to be back within twenty minutes after lights out."

She forced a smile: "This way I can get some rest earlier."

Jiang Huali smiled at Zhao Yu, "Okay, thank you."

Zhao Yu only came to her senses when Jiang Huali's figure disappeared through the doorway.

Jiang Huali stepped out the door and found that Director Luo was still standing there waiting for her.

Director Luo tossed the attendance list into Jiang Huali's arms, saying, "If you find any students not in their dormitories, report to me immediately."

"Okay." Jiang Huali nodded.

Director Luo stopped looking at her, her high heels clicking as she walked away in a short while.

[System, send data.]

Jiang Huali Call System.

System: [Here you are!]

This world is derived from an infinite flow novel. The protagonist is named Qi Man, a female college student who is accidentally drawn into a horror game. She levels up and fights monsters along the way, fighting alongside her partners, and finally becomes the most powerful survivor in the horror game.

The original owner of this body was a vicious female supporting character who was dedicated to causing trouble for the main characters. The bad things she did were not limited to destroying the main characters' props, telling the ghosts where the main characters were hiding, betraying them at the last moment of their escape, and putting the main characters in danger, etc.

The original owner and Qi Man were classmates in college. He was rescued by Qi Man in a dungeon and went through several dungeons with the protagonist group, but each time he repaid kindness with enmity.

Even so, Qi Man disregarded her teammates' objections and still allowed the original owner to follow their team.

However, the original owner's vicious behavior disgusted the other members of the main group, and even though she stayed in the team, no one liked her.

This instance is called "Hope Primary School," and the survivors play the role of newly arrived intern teachers.

The teachers all live in the teachers' dormitory, two people to a room.

The main characters consist of four people, including Qi Man, two men and two women, who all live in the same dormitory. Only the original owner of this body was left behind and lived with a teacher who had been working for many years.

That teacher was Zhao Yu.

Because the original owner kept courting death and doing all sorts of bad things, he was dragged into the core of the game, the "Abyss," by ghosts in a later dungeon and disappeared without a trace.

Whether they are dead or alive, no one knows.

Dimensional Mission: Regaining Freedom

Task Points: 3000

Jiang Huali received the plot information as she walked towards the student dormitory. The system told her:

[The world in this mission has relatively low freedom of movement; the host must be extra careful.]

What impact does a lack of freedom have on us?

Jiang Huali asked.

[Sometimes we might be controlled by the "plot," but don't worry, host, the plot's control will weaken somewhat after we enter.]

Hope Primary School is not very large. The entire school building is shaped like a "口" (mouth). The teaching building and office building are on the north side, the student dormitory building is on the south side, the canteen is on the west side, and the teacher dormitory building is on the east side.

In the middle is the playground.

There is only one dormitory building in the school, with four floors in total. The first and second floors are for boys, and the third and fourth floors are for girls.

Most of the students at the school come from remote villages. Due to the rugged mountain roads, many students choose to stay at the school.

Jiang Huali opened the mission panel in the horror game and saw the mission details at the bottom.

Side Quest 3: Conduct a room check in the girls' dormitory.

Scroll up, and you'll find side quest one: move into the teachers' dormitory; and side quest two: collect teaching materials.

The sidebar also contains a bolded sentence: Main quest: Find the truth behind the abandonment of Hope Primary School.

The students go to bed at 9:30, and it's 9:20 now.

Jiang Huali had a high fever and felt dizzy as she climbed the stairs. When she reached the second floor, she saw a man with a buzz cut dressed in black.

He is one of the main characters, Cun Ke.

Cun Ke clearly saw Jiang Huali, but he didn't say anything, just glanced at her and left.

Jiang Huali walked up to the third floor. The dormitory checks were conducted by the student teachers on a rotating basis. The original owner of this body was not very lucky; it was her turn on the first day.

There weren't many students in the dormitory; there were only five dormitories on each floor. Jiang Huali went through the list, checking each dormitory one by one, and quickly finished counting the number of people on the third floor.

Since there were no people missing on the third floor, Jiang Huali went up to the fourth floor.

The dormitory building looks quite old; the floor is made of cement, and in some places it is uneven. The lights in the corridor emit a dim light, and sometimes there is a crackling sound of electricity.

A gust of wind blew by, making it a bit chilly, so Jiang Huali zipped up her coat.

The fourth floor was clearly even less crowded, with two dorm rooms completely empty.

Jiang Huali was already familiar with the process. After quickly checking the last dormitory room, she prepared to leave.

Suddenly, the bell rang.

After a ringing bell, the dormitory lights went out, leaving only the corridor lights on.

Jiang Huali remembered what Zhao Yu had told her before she came, and turned around and walked quickly toward the dormitory door.

However, her steps to leave were blocked.

A tiny force tugged at the hem of Jiang Huali's coat.

Jiang Huali looked down and saw a pair of small hands tightly gripping her clothes.

A little girl's childish voice rang out, sounding somewhat timid: "Teacher... I need to go to the toilet."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Huali gave a stiff smile and tried to pull her clothes out of the little girl's hands.

Pull hard.

It didn't budge.

Awkwardly withdrawing her hand, Jiang Huali lowered her voice and said softly, "It's bedtime now, how about we go tomorrow?"

The little girl shook her head and repeated, "Teacher, I need to go to the toilet."

Jiang Huali's smile froze again. It seemed that she wouldn't give up until she agreed to this student's request. Jiang Huali couldn't keep this stalemate going on forever; the longer she stayed here, the more dangerous it would be.

"Will the teacher take you there?"

"Yes." The little girl nodded seriously.

Jiang Huali: ...

There are no private bathrooms in the dormitory. There is a public toilet and a public shower on each floor, at the very end of the corridor.

Jiang Huali turned on her flashlight and led the little girl toward the restroom.

There were no lights in the restroom after the bell was rung, so Jiang Huali gave the little girl a flashlight to take into the restroom for illumination, while she stood at the door waiting.

Jiang Huali stood next to the sink, where a faucet seemed to be slightly ajar, making a "drip" sound.

She doesn't intend to deal with it.

"Tick-tock—"

A drop of water suddenly fell at Jiang Huali's feet.

Jiang Huali froze, a chill running down her spine. She was still a little distance from the sink, and besides... even if the faucet wasn't turned off properly, water would still drip into the sink. Where did this water droplet come from?

It didn't rain today, and the ground was very dry on the way here.

This is the top floor of the dormitory building, so it's unlikely that the ceiling is leaking.

Upon closer inspection, Jiang Huali noticed that the "water droplet" on the ground appeared to be quite viscous, and under the dim light shining from the corridor, it even seemed to have a dark red tinge.

"Xiao Tian?" Jiang Huali's throat tightened, and she called out towards the toilet.

Xiaotian was the little girl. After Jiang Huali called her name, it took her quite a while to come out of the toilet.

"teacher."

After washing his hands at the sink, Xiao Tian returned the flashlight to Jiang Huali.

Jiang Huali asked, "The teacher just called you, why didn't you respond?"

Xiao Tian looked at Jiang Huali in confusion, "Teacher, I didn't hear you call me just now."

Xiao Tian had short, ear-length hair, a typical "student hairstyle," and big, dark eyes that stared at Jiang Huali.

Jiang Huali lowered her eyes and took Xiaotian's hand again. "Maybe the teacher shouted too softly. It's late. Go back to sleep."

Xiao Tian nodded: "Okay."

Before leaving the restroom, Jiang Huali glanced back and saw that the floor was spotless, without a trace of water.

After escorting Xiaotian back to his dormitory, Jiang Huali walked down the stairs.

She glanced at the time: 9:43.

With seven minutes remaining until the twenty-minute bell rang, Jiang Huali quickened her pace.

As Jiang Huali walked down the first floor and was about to reach the entrance of the student dormitory building, she suddenly felt dizzy.

Jiang Huali's vision blurred for a moment, then she shook her head and gripped the flashlight tightly in her hand.

After recovering, Jiang Huali walked to the front door, one foot about to step out—

Something's not right.

Jiang Huali instinctively felt that something was watching her from the darkness.

She pulled her foot back and checked the time again.

The pupils constrict slightly.

The second hand on the watch was still moving steadily, and the time was clearly displayed on the dial.

It was exactly 9:50.
