Chapter 112 The Person Being Urged to Marry

Chapter 112 The Person Being Urged to Marry

When offering incense, the place is packed with people.

Although there were signs prohibiting noise in the temple, the place was still bustling with people and all sorts of noises.

Lighters, incense sticks, prayer sticks...

Luo Shu followed beside Yu Zhan, who held up incense in his hand. Most people also held their incense above their heads, afraid of offending others with the smell.

People walked forward one after another, without queuing or pushing each other.

He waited a little longer than usual, and the ash from the incense sticks in his hands fell onto the back of his hands and the clothes on his forearms.

"Why--"

A voice came from behind, and a graceful figure bumped into Yu Zhan from behind.

Yu Zhan remained as steady as Mount Tai, only slightly shifting his weight to the side.

Luo Shu followed the gaze and looked over.

The woman steadied herself slightly, and the incense ash fell onto her fair hand, burning it slightly. She hissed almost imperceptibly, but made no other move.

"I'm sorry." She looked up and met the eyes of the two people standing beside her. "Mr. Yu, Mrs. Yu..."

"Manager Mu." Yu Zhan's slightly furrowed brows relaxed slightly.

Luo Shu remembered that this was Mu Bu, the general manager of Yuzhan Unmanned Vehicle Company. She nodded but did not respond.

"I'm sorry, just now..." Mu Bu explained awkwardly.

"It's nothing," Yu Zhan said.

Mu Bu nodded apologetically to Luo Shu.

Luo Shu nodded in response.

They continued walking, and the little incident passed.

After offering incense, everyone went to the dining hall to eat vegetarian food.

Everyone gathered together, except for Mubu and her parents.

Mu Bu was chatting quietly with Zhou Zhiyi, and occasionally he could see the two of them smiling.

Mu Bu was an old friend of Yu Zhan who had followed him since the early days of his business. They were very familiar with each other, and their parents also met later and got along well.

Grandpa Yu whispered to me that if Yu Zhan hadn't suddenly announced his marriage, the next couple to be pressured to get married might be them.

Moreover, the marriage rate is very high.

Mubu's parents were intellectuals, both university professors. They were sensible and, seeing that the in-law relationship could not be established, maintained a proper distance between the two families.

Luo Shu paused for a moment. No wonder she noticed that Mu Bu's expression was a little strange when she saw her in the office last time.

When they met again later, that appropriate distance was immediately maintained.

It seems that Mu Bu is a person who understands the bigger picture.

At this moment, Yu Zhan reached out and flicked her forehead.

"You little brain, all your thoughts are written on your forehead. It seems we'll have to have the servants prepare a few more pig brains for you."

Luo Shu frowned, covering her forehead as she looked at him.

She actually thought Yu Zhan's story was quite interesting; his pursuit of her could be written into a risqué book.

"I haven't said anything yet," she said sullenly.

In front of everyone, Yu Zhan made these intimate gestures without any hesitation.

Luo Shu lowered her eyes shyly.

Is this still the cold, aloof person she knows? So childish.

"Do I even need to say it? It's written all over your face."

“I didn’t. You have a dirty mind,” she said to him in a low but firm voice.

"How do you know if my thoughts are dirty or not? Huh? And you're saying you're not just making things up?"

"Yu Zhan, you should ask a master to chant some scriptures for you..."

Reflection: Form is emptiness, emptiness is form...

Although the two spoke in hushed tones, their voices could still be faintly heard by those around them.

Grandpa Yu chuckled to himself.

Mu Bu and Zhou Zhiyi, sitting opposite each other, glanced at the two newlyweds bickering and smiled without saying a word.

Luo Shu didn't indulge him; she took some vegetables from her plate that he didn't like and gave them to him.

Unaware of what was happening beside him, Yu Zhan's face darkened.

"Eat more." Luo Shu said.

“It’s time to replenish it—” he said through gritted teeth, each word reaching the woman’s ears.

Luo Shu could almost see the words "You're dead tonight" on his face.

The past few days I ate delicacies at Yu's house, but today I had a vegetarian meal, which felt like a gentle breeze and put me in a great mood.

I feel like if I keep eating like this, I'll exceed 1100.

After it was over, everyone went their separate ways.

Mu Bu's parents went with Yu Zhan's parents, leaving Mu Bu alone. Zhou Zhiyi asked Yu Zhan to take him home on his way.

Mubu refused.

Yu Zhan agreed.

Mu Bu awkwardly picked at her toes; she certainly didn't want to get on the bus and become a third wheel.

"Get in the car." Yu Zhan gripped the steering wheel with one hand.

Luo Shu, who was standing nearby, also poked her head out and said, "It's hard to get a taxi here. Come on, let's go back together."

Joking aside, Mu Bu was intentionally avoiding the issue and knew how to maintain boundaries, which Luo Shu clearly saw.

After all, she had been with Yu Zhan in the workplace for so many years. If there were any relationship between them, it would have happened long ago. Besides, they are married now.

Judging from the attitudes of Zhou Zhiyi and the Yu family towards Mu Bu, it seems that Mu Bu does not pose much of a threat.

But later we realized that some people are just born actors.

Yu Zhan asked for her address.

"I'm still living in the same place." Mu Bu sat in the back row, playing on his phone.

Luo Shu's heart skipped a beat, as if she had been struck by something.

So familiar?

Yu Zhan said "okay" and started the car.

The three of them remained silent throughout the journey.

Until Mubu was delivered to her apartment.

"Thank you, Mr. Yu and Mrs. Yu!" Mu Bu watched them leave respectfully, a slight smile playing on his lips.

On the way out of the residential area, Yu Zhan pinched the cheek of the woman in the passenger seat.

Luo Shu avoided it.

"Mrs. Yu, you've got a mouth full of fish."

She scoffed, "I wonder if you'll take the bait."

"You're actually jealous?" He laughed.

Luo Shu didn't speak.

Yu Zhan then parked the car on the side of the road, unbuckled his seatbelt, rested his elbow on the storage compartment in the middle, turned to the side, and looked at her.

"What are you doing..." Luo Shu looked at the man who was so close to her with a slightly angry expression.

"At what point did you get angry?" he asked. "Was it when you went out to eat together, or when you agreed to take her home, or something else entirely?"

He spoke with a teasing tone, as if he really wanted to see Luo Shu get angry.

"You really want me to be angry?" she retorted.

"I know what you're going to do just by the way you move your butt, Mrs. Yu. Your eyes can't lie to me."

His flirtatious remarks made Luo Shu unable to stay angry for a moment, and her face slowly flushed with rouge.

She wasn't angry that Mu Bu was sent back, but that when Mu Bu was sent back, Yu Zhan, who usually tried to start conversations, suddenly fell silent and ran out of things to say.

Even during the most casual moments, Yu Zhan would always chat with her about trivial things. But today, during the almost one-hour drive, his mouth was as if it had been sealed shut by Harry Potter.

He would simply reply to any topics I brought up, whether intentional or not, and that would be the end of it.

Luo Shu felt uncomfortable and uneasy.

I suppose they felt they weren't presentable enough.

She pursed her lips, not saying anything.

If she minded, then there was no need to tell him about this silly thing. She had tried to tell him several times, but she never finished, and now she didn't want to anymore.

Yu Zhan, a man worth hundreds of millions, wouldn't care whether Luo Shu had money or what she did; as long as she was the one he cared about, that was enough.

"I won't see her off next time, okay?" Yu Zhan looked at the little mouth that was turned to the side.

Luo Shu smiled and agreed, then said nothing more.

Yu Zhan didn't know if she had let go or not. He grabbed the back of her head and kissed her fiercely, then gently bit her lip as punishment.

Luo Shu gently pushed him away, seemingly less angry, and felt truly pathetic.

Thinking back to when we first got our marriage certificate, I didn't even have the intention of developing feelings for him.

As you do it, feelings naturally develop.

She pursed her lips tightly, realizing that she was now being controlled by her emotions.

She kept reminding herself to love others three parts and herself seven parts, not to get caught in the whirlpool of love, and to know when to stop loving.

Don't be too jealous.
