Chapter 120 No One Will Escape

Chapter 120 No One Will Escape

When Luo Shu woke up the next day, she was lying on Yu Zhan's chest.

It was really difficult for this 1.9-meter-tall person to squeeze onto a 1.5-meter-tall bed with him.

I didn't even realize when he climbed up. Or maybe I'd gotten used to his scent and let my guard down?

She carefully withdrew her hand, trying to get up, but he held her tightly.

"Sleep a little longer."

The scorching heat poured down from above, mixed with the faint sandalwood scent emanating from him. Only then did she notice that he had changed all his clothes.

Yu Zhan didn't let her get up; she couldn't move and could only be held captive in his arms.

Luo Shu didn't resist. Since it was still early, she decided to continue lying down.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

She wasn't seriously injured, just felt sore all over.

"fine."

Yu Zhan's chin brushed against the center of her head.

"Kiss..."

He whispered in her ear, his warm breath enveloping her.

"Don't even think about it!" Luo Shu glared at him.

Knock knock--

There was a knock on the ward door.

Luo Shu was startled and jumped in fright!

If someone else sees this, it will be a huge problem!

"Get up!" she shouted angrily, pushing against his chest with all her might.

Yu Zhan calmed his gaze before standing up.

His expression wasn't good; he probably guessed who it was.

He tucked the blanket around the person, then turned to face away from the person who had come in.

Ye Fou walked in and saw the two people who looked sleepy.

Luo Shu's face still had the flush of waking up that hadn't faded yet.

Then look at the man in front of me.

Ye Fou immediately understood.

"Good morning," Luo Shu said awkwardly.

"Good morning," Ye Fou replied calmly.

"Good morning," Yu Zhan said smugly.

Ye Fou placed the breakfast he was holding on the coffee table in front of the sofa.

"I came to visit Grandma and also packed some chicken porridge for you."

This was said to Luo Shu, in a gentle tone.

"Thank you." Luo Shu forced a smile.

"However, there's only one serving, so Mr. Yu will have to go out and buy one himself," he said.

Yu Zhan curled his lips, seemingly not feeling threatened by his arrival, but merely harboring dissatisfaction.

He said, "It's alright, I'll eat what she leaves behind."

"This bowl of porridge isn't much; it might not be enough for the two of you."

"Don't worry, I'll feed her first." He curled his thin lips into a smile.

Luo Shu blushed under the covers.

If she could burrow underground, she would have escaped this place long ago.

Ye Fou chuckled. He understood perfectly well, but he didn't want to put Luo Shu in a difficult position. He decided to stop here.

"Shu, I'll go see Grandma now."

"Okay, thank you." She smiled.

Ye Fou smiled, then lifted his foot and left.

Yu Zhan sat down beside her, leaned over, placed his hands on either side of her, and asked in a deep voice, "Are you hungry?"

"..." Luo Shu really wanted to slap him across the face.

He chuckled and pinched her nose.

Why does she blush so easily?

Her blushing face makes you want to tease her.

"Get up, wash up and come out to eat something," he said.

Luo Shu dragged her heavy body and slowly got out of bed, rising from the other side.

But Yu Zhan saw right through her little scheme.

When Yu Zhan came out of the bathroom, he was already sitting on the sofa, drinking the chicken porridge that Ye Fou had brought. There was another new breakfast, the same chicken porridge, on the table.

Luo Shu, holding her neck, walked towards him and sat down beside him.

"Did you buy this?" She picked up the chicken porridge that had been left to cool for her.

"Um."

Luo Shu seemed to sense Yu Zhan's jealousy; it was one thing to buy something, but to buy the exact same one was another.

"Let's go see her later, then we'll go back," Luo Shu said.

The "she" she was referring to was Mu Bu, and logically, she should have gone to see her before leaving.

"You don't have to go if you don't want to."

"I still have to go."

"There's no need to go. I'm going to my brother-in-law's house for a family dinner tonight."

"We brought the person in, and besides, they're right next door, so we should at least go over and say hello."

Yu Zhan didn't say anything. After finishing his porridge, he threw the takeout container into the trash can. This woman still didn't know what had happened yesterday and was still thinking about other people.

Seeing that he was unwilling, Luo Shu said, "Then we won't go."

She glanced at the trash can and spotted the bubble tea cup from last night, with a straw still stuck in it. "Did you drink last night's bubble tea?"

"Hmm, I drank it, but it didn't taste good." Yu Zhan got up and started packing his things.

Luo Shu glanced at him, clicked her tongue, and cursed him in her heart.

Even though it didn't taste good, I finished it.

After packing their things and completing the discharge procedures, the two were about to leave the hospital.

Just as she was about to leave, she ran into Mu Long in the corridor. Mu Long saw Yu Zhan holding Luo Shu's hand and his sharp eyes fell on Luo Shu.

Luo Shu could tell at a glance that the look in their eyes was unfriendly. She didn't know if it was just her imagination, but they seemed to be completely different from their attitude yesterday.

Or is it that you can't keep up the act anymore and are giving up?

From outside the door, it was clear that Mu Bu had removed her makeup and was leaning against the bed, her face pale. Her hands tightened their grip on Luo Shu's upon seeing her.

Bu Ling gave it a disdainful look, refusing to glance at it again.

Yu Zhan's face remained expressionless, but his brow furrowed slightly when he looked at Mu Bu.

"Hello, Uncle and Aunt." Luo Shu sensed the tension in the air and decided to greet them before leaving this place of trouble.

But to everyone's surprise, Mu Long sneered, "Miss Luo, do you think our current situation is good?"

His face practically screamed: "A weasel paying respects to a chicken—he's up to no good."

He wanted to say something more, but Bu Ling nudged his arm, signaling him to stop talking.

Luo Shu wanted to say something comforting, but the man beside her seemed reluctant to let her speak.

Yu Zhan tugged at her hand, gently pulling her behind him to protect her. "Uncle Mu, we have things to do, so we won't disturb Manager Mu's rest any longer."

Mu Bu looked at this little gesture, and a hint of tears welled up in his eyes. Yesterday he had clearly changed from Manager Mu to Mu Bu, so why was he calling him Manager Mu again today?

Yu Zhan squeezed Luo Shu's hand and was about to turn and leave when Mu Long hit Luo Shu on the back of the head with a bouquet of flowers.

Yu Zhan reacted quickly, raising his long arm and turning to the side to block Luo Shu. Luo Shu was so frightened that she closed her eyes and put her hands in a defensive posture to protect her head.

"Dad!" Mu Bu called out, trying to stop him, but he was injured and couldn't get up, so he could only watch helplessly.

The bouquet struck the back of any man, and the bright petals detached from the stems and fell to the ground.

The man's body shielded the woman, and he gently pushed her aside, as if afraid she would be hurt again.

The bouquet wasn't very dangerous, but Luo Shu sensed something was amiss.

She looked up at the man in front of her.

The man frowned and said, "It's nothing, don't worry about it."

"None of you are leaving here today!" Mu Long's cheekbone muscles twitched up and down as he clenched his back teeth.
