Chapter 209 Hospitalization
Early the next morning.
When Luo Shu got up, she found the entire manor unusually quiet.
However, it's still early, around six in the morning, so it's normal that not many people are up yet.
"Young Madam, you're up so early?" The maid asked, somewhat surprised as Luo Shu came downstairs.
She got up at just past six o'clock. Pregnant women are usually supposed to sleep in, and she usually doesn't get up until eight or nine o'clock. This is probably the first time she's gotten up so early.
Luo Shu smiled, said nothing, and had some simple breakfast served before starting to eat.
She didn't get up early; she didn't sleep at all.
Last night she closed her eyes and meditated all night, her mind a jumbled mess, and she cried until she had no tears left.
I was woken up by hunger.
She originally came down with the intention of just checking things out; if there was breakfast, she would eat; if not, she would just leave.
I didn't expect the maid to come to work so early.
After a quick breakfast, it was already seven o'clock.
At this time, there was still no activity at the manor.
The person she wanted to see but didn't want to see seemed to be absent.
She made a slight self-deprecating remark.

Luo Shu got up, went back to her room to pack some essentials she had brought, and then walked out of the room.
"Shu'er." Zhou Zhiyi, who was standing at the door of another room, called out to Luo Shu.
Her gaze fell on Luo Shu's shoulder bag; clearly, she was about to leave.
"Mom, why are you up so early?" Luo Shu felt a little awkward when she saw her.
Zhou Zhiyi is a smart person; how could she not know what she was thinking?
But Zhou Zhiyi didn't expose her; she respected her choice.
"Are you going back to the studio?" she asked.
“Yes, Yu Yu can’t handle it all by herself. She’s taken on a lot of orders lately, so I have to go help her.” She paused and said, “I’ll probably be busy for a while.”
I haven't had time to come see you all.
She couldn't bring herself to say those words.
She and Zhou Zhiyi used to be best friends who could talk about anything.
Zhou Zhiyi knew about Luo Shu's family situation, so they never talked about family when they were together, for fear that Luo Shu would mind and be saddened.
Now that they've become family, this sudden incident makes her even more hesitant to talk about going home.
"I'll take you there; it's hard to get a taxi here." Zhou Zhiyi took two steps forward, trying to close the distance between them.
Looking at her trembling hands, Luo Shu couldn't bear to refuse. If she refused or secretly left, even more people would come to visit and ask her to come back.
She didn't want to see anyone, especially not the Yu family.
"Okay," she agreed.
Zhou Zhiyi breathed a sigh of relief, stepped forward, took her hand, and walked down side by side, just like when they used to go shopping.
Along the way, Zhou Zhiyi wanted to say something, but every time she saw Luo Shu's lack of interest, she swallowed her words.
Luo Shu did not ask Yu Zhan where he slept last night.
In such a large estate, there's always a secluded corner that suits him.
The car quickly stopped in front of the studio.
"Mom, I'm going now." Luo Shu unbuckled her seatbelt.
"Shu'er." Zhou Zhiyi hurriedly took her hand.
The woman in her fifties is very well-maintained. Perhaps because she hasn't slept well these past few days, the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes seem to have deepened considerably.
“Ah Zhan…” The usually optimistic woman’s eyes suddenly welled up with tears, and large tears rolled down her cheeks.
She ultimately didn't say anything.
Luo Shu touched her hand and said, "Take care of yourself and don't worry too much."

She got out of the car and closed the door.
Zhou Zhiyi wiped away her tears, her hands trembling as she gripped the steering wheel. She waited outside the studio for several minutes before driving to the hospital.
Yu Zhan was immediately taken to the hospital after collapsing last night.
He had a fever of nearly 40 degrees Celsius, and it hasn't gone down yet. He's lying on the hospital bed in a daze.
His upper body was naked, revealing whip marks that made one's hair stand on end, and there was a strong smell of disinfectant iodine.
Yu Zheng stayed by his side, listening to him mutter all night, "I won't get a divorce."
He was also feeling terrible. This scene was just like the one he had experienced five years ago when he was lying in a hospital bed, unable to move his legs, and his heart was about to die.
Yu Zheng didn't dare call Luo Shu, fearing she would refuse. If Yu Zhan overheard this, he'd probably want to die.
"Still not awake?" Zhou Zhiyi stood beside Yu Zheng, her eyes red from crying.
Yu Zheng put his arm around her shoulders and comforted her, "Don't worry too much, you won't die. It's just a minor injury, it'll be fine after a couple of days of burning."
"He's your own son, how could you be so cruel?" Zhou Zhiyi secretly wiped away a tear in his arms.
"If I had known about it first, I probably would have broken his legs. Would I have given him time to catch his breath?" Yu Zheng showed no mercy whatsoever.
He is his biological son, but Luo Shu is his daughter-in-law, and she is pregnant with a baby from the Yu family.
He's the one who did wrong, so who else should we punish if not him?
"The matter is still unresolved." Zhou Zhiyi's eyes were full of heartache.
A punishment is definitely necessary, but this is far too severe.
If this weather had come any later, it might have become infected and festering.
"He deserves it. Being so handsome is useless; he only causes trouble!"
"..." Zhou Zhiyi didn't say anything, calmed herself down, and sat down on the edge of the bed to look at the man lying on the bed.
"How is Shu'er?" Yu Zheng asked.
“She’s still feeling uneasy and has already gone to her studio. She probably won’t be back for a while,” Zhou Zhiyi said, her face darkening.
However, she has already arranged for people to secretly protect her.
As long as she feels better, that's good enough.
Yu Zheng frowned.
Why is Shen Yan's progress so slow?

When Luo Shu returned to the studio, Yu Yu was angrily making a phone call.
"If we don't contact each other for more than a day, you're as good as dead. What kind of boyfriend/girlfriend relationship is that? Do you have less free time than you have time in bed? You're supposed to ignore me for three days straight?" Yu Yu said angrily, one hand on her hip.
Without even a second thought, the other side must be Shen Yan.
Teacher Yu, I did send you a message, but you blocked me...
Yu was furious. "Good morning, good night, I miss you—just those few words? Is this how you talk about being in a relationship? Even the weather forecast is more frequent than you!"
She knew what Shen Yan was busy with, but she was still angry.
Luo Shu is their good friend. Even if they don't tell Luo Shu about this, they should at least tell her.
He knew he was in the wrong.
He did intend to tell her about it, but given Yu's temper, once he started talking, it would become a long story. He just wanted to come over and see what happened first before explaining it slowly later. He didn't expect them to find out so quickly.
