Chapter 257 Obedient

Chapter 257 Obedient

"..."

Wei Qianqian leaned against the elevator, her heartbeat stopping for a moment.

She turned her head away, avoiding his gaze, her eyes filled with fear, unable to utter a word.

Lu Min had a faint scent of shower gel on him, exactly the same as the one he had used when he took a shower earlier—the scent of green tangerines.

It's a scent that makes you feel both sober and dangerous.

Lu Min stood right in front of her, his hands on either side of her, staring intently at his prey.

The two were so close that it seemed they could sense each other with the slightest movement from either of them.

"You should behave and listen to me," Lu Min said hoarsely.

"Okay, sure." Wei Qianqian lost her arrogance and responded softly.

She was scared.

I'm afraid Lu Min is a beast.

She didn't know why this man suddenly started controlling her; she didn't like this kind of domineering man.

Her own grandfather didn't like the marriage either, so why didn't he stop it instead of pushing Wei Qianqian to this big tiger?

Lu Min looked down at her, not having any bad intentions, but finding her blushing face very cute.

He had rarely seen Wei Qianqian blush in front of him, perhaps because he hadn't paid much attention.

The last time I blushed was yesterday when I walked into the tent and saw her; her face was as red as an apple.

He moved to the side, to lessen her embarrassment.

Wei Qianqian breathed a sigh of relief.

The elevator doors opened, and two drunk men entered.

"Huh? Isn't this the one that went down?" One of the men, who was quite drunk, looked at the button next to Wei Qianqian.

Wei Qianqian glanced at Lu Min and moved closer to him.

Lu Min reached out and pulled the person over.

A burning heat came from my palm.

Wei Qianqian trembled slightly, appearing somewhat flustered.

The drunk man leaned against the elevator and watched the two of them, his gaze fixed on Wei Qianqian's clumsy acting.

Wei Qianqian was clearly not familiar with this man.

The drunkard chuckled and asked, "Young lady, are you so afraid of us? Is it really necessary? You just grabbed any man and started holding hands with him?"

The two drunkards burst into laughter.

When they came in, Wei Qianqian and Lu Min were still some distance apart, and they didn't seem to know each other very well.

Wei Qianqian tightened her grip on Lu Min's hand and leaned closer to him, ignoring the drunkard's words.

Lu Min glanced at the two drunkards beside him but ignored them.

The drunkard looked Lu Min up and down.

He was wearing a plain T-shirt and shorts, and he wasn't carrying anything in his hands; he didn't look like a rich person at all.

Wei Qianqian swallowed hard.

Fortunately, Lu Min came with her tonight. If she were here alone, she probably wouldn't even know where the sun would rise tomorrow.

She couldn't help but grab Lu Min's arm with both hands, the tension and fear eroding her in the cramped space.

“Girl, don’t stay silent. I have something you like here. Come on, come back and talk to me.”

"Don't be afraid." Lu Min reached out and patted her hand, leading her to the other side. "Turn around, don't look back," he whispered.

"Lu Min..." Wei Qianqian didn't want to cause trouble, thinking she should just bear with it and things would be fine once they got upstairs.

"good."

"..."

Is it appropriate to say this here?

Her face flushed instantly, and the turmoil in her heart was stirred by him, making her far more nervous than those two drunkards.

Wei Qianqian hurriedly turned around, covered her ears with her hands, faced the elevator wall, and closed her eyes tightly.

Lu Min pressed the button to go up three floors.

"Brother, that's not very kind of you. Don't meddle in things that aren't your business, or don't blame us for being impolite!"

The two drunkards suddenly became interested and exchanged glances.

Lu Min smiled but didn't say anything.

Then, Wei Qianqian heard intermittent wails.

She kept her eyes tightly closed, and although she covered her ears with her hands, she could still faintly hear Lu Min's lips, which were smeared with arsenic, continuously uttering through the gaps.

"You dare flirt with my men!"

"..." Wei Qianqian didn't dare to turn around.

bite-

The elevator door opened.

With a thud, the elevator doors slowly closed again, and the sounds around us abruptly stopped.

Lu Min dusted off his hands, looked at Wei Qianqian who was still facing the wall in repentance, and couldn't help but sneer.

He carefully took her hand and turned her around.

Wei Qianqian glanced at him; now only the two of them were left in the elevator.

She looked Lu Min up and down; he was unharmed.

She breathed a sigh of relief; she had worried unnecessarily.

How could a roughneck like Lu Min let himself get hurt?

"Are you alright?" Wei Qianqian asked worriedly, her face still showing signs of fear.

“Something happened, and I’ve been hurt emotionally. I hope you won’t stab me in the back.” Lu Min.

"I didn't..." she murmured, feeling wronged.

What she had just witnessed had indeed frightened her, and now that he was scolding her, she felt even more aggrieved.

"Wei Qianqian, can't you tell I'm pursuing you? Don't you dare make me angry." Lu Min's words were neither a confession nor a warning.

Hearing this, Wei Qianqian's face turned red and then white.

Who says such things so bluntly? Does he have no shame?

The elevator doors opened, and Wei Qianqian was led out by his hand.

"You, you should go back..." Wei Qianqian stood in front of the door, not daring to open it.

"I'm not going back." - Lu Min.

"I'm used to living alone."

"How can I pursue you if I don't live with you?" This is a statement of fact.

"..." Wei Qianqian swallowed hard and carefully withdrew her hand.

Lu Min didn't give her that chance, not even a chance to struggle.

Wei Qianqian looked at her hand, which he was holding tightly, and he took in the shyness on her face.

"Open the door." Lu Min's words left no room for argument.

Wei Qianqian pursed her lips, not daring to open them.

What was more terrifying than the man in front of him was the mess in the room.

She likes to eat snacks, and there are probably still traces of her on the sofa. There are still dishes left in the kitchen sink, and she's too lazy to even put them in the dishwasher.

There were still clothes on the bed that she was unhappy with after changing out of, and they hadn't been tidied up.

If we go in now, Lu Min will probably be scared away.

Running away is not a big deal, but I'm afraid Lu Min will ruin my reputation everywhere.

"Anything is fine, but could you..."

"Do you remember those two drunkards from earlier? They've memorized your floor number; it's one floor per household here." Lu Min chuckled.

“…Okay.” Wei Qianqian was completely under his control.

beep-

The door was opened.

Wei Qianqian walked ahead, took a pair of men's shoes for him from the shoe cabinet, and then changed into slippers herself.

"You have a strong sense of safety." Lu Min looked at the pair of men's slippers, which were slightly dusty but brand new.

"..." It's precisely to prevent arrogant men like you from getting involved.

Wei Qianqian pouted, not daring to speak.

Lu Min is too cunning; he can drag others into a trap with just a few words.

"..." Lu Min walked in and stood there stunned.

Wei Qianqian looked at him with satisfaction. It wasn't a problem if he wanted to stay here. She hoped he would regret it tomorrow and cancel their engagement, then she would be happy.

"Just as I imagined." Lu Min chuckled. "A mess."

Just as I imagined?

Would he even imagine that?

Wei Qianqian really didn't expect that.

"I'm going to sleep now. The guest room is over there. Make yourself at home. Good night."

Go to sleep, go to sleep early, or you'll find this man nowhere to be found tomorrow.

Lu Min shook his head and gave a self-deprecating laugh.
