Chapter 212 Chicken Congee
When Yu Zhan left, he took the sign from the door with him.
"You dog of a man!" Yu Yu cursed from behind.
Just then, Luo Shu stepped out of the elevator.
She looked normal, the marks on her face had been washed away, she had applied some skincare products and a light lip color, and she looked more energetic.
"What's he doing here?" Yu Yu asked, pursing his lips.
“He told me to move back,” Luo Shu replied casually, and started looking for things to do.
Yu Yu followed behind her and saw that she was holding the scissors in her hand. "Are you going back to live here?"
"Um."
"What are these scissors for?"
"..." used to cut off his manhood.
Do you believe him?
Luo Shu paused slightly.
"……"letter.
But I couldn't accept the impact of those images.
In the evening, Luo Shu returned to the villa, where Aunt Xu was already preparing dinner.
A fragrant aroma wafted through the living room, mingled with a faint scent of tulips.
"Madam, my husband said he'll be busy for a while and might not be home for dinner. He asked me not to cook for him. He left in a hurry and asked me to let you know so you can eat on time every day." Aunt Xu seemed to know nothing.
Luo Shu nodded. "Okay."
She was hungry, so she put down her bag and went to the restaurant to eat.
"Madam, do you need me to stay home?" Aunt Xu asked with a smile.
She probably knows that Luo Shu is pregnant.
Aunt Xu usually leaves after finishing her work and never stays overnight; Yu Zhan must have asked her to do this.
Yu Zhan was worried about leaving her home alone; if anything happened to her, at least there would be someone to look after her.
Although Gan Chang'an and the butler will be there, they are both men, so there are some things that are not very convenient.
Luo Shu didn't know how to reply. She was used to living in this apartment with Yu Zhan, but now that Yu Zhan had moved out, she was all alone.
Aunt Xu responded quickly.
"That's right, my family members have all been away from home recently, and it's quite troublesome for me to run around all by myself. Staying at home would be more convenient."
"Okay, sure." Luo Shu nodded in agreement.
Aunt Xu smiled.
Sure enough, Luo Shu would agree if Yu Zhan told her to say that.
Luo Shu could probably guess what it was.
Aunt Xu is not good at lying; her lying skills are too clumsy.
That evening, Luo Shu was sitting on the sofa in her study drawing when Ye Fou called her on video.
She hesitated for a few seconds, then turned off the camera and answered his call. She could only see Ye Fou's side of the screen.
"Why are you suddenly video calling me at this time?" Luo Shu asked, as if inquiring.
It's already past 9 PM, and even the best male friends shouldn't be video calling at this hour, especially since she's a married woman.
Ye Fou smiled when he saw the dark video on the other side.
I understand her worries.
But since Yu Zhan wasn't there, he could openly video call her at night.
"My mom is looking for you; she took her phone to get it repaired today."
Luo Shu was slightly taken aback; so that's how it is.
Ye Fou handed the phone to Teacher Hu and then stepped back to do his own thing, without interfering too much, though he would occasionally glance at her from a distance.
Luo Shu hurriedly turned on her camera, and Luo Shu, wearing a slip dress, immediately appeared in the frame.
Summer has officially arrived, and she's home alone, so she does whatever makes her comfortable. Seeing Ye Fou still not far away in the frame, she casually grabbed a Yu Zhan shirt and draped it over herself, though she wasn't sure if he could see her clearly.
Ye Fou noticed this small gesture, a smile playing on his lips, and listened attentively to their conversation while continuing his work.
"Teacher Hu, aren't you asleep yet?" Luo Shu pouted.
She didn't have much time left, and Ye Fou spoiled her, letting her eat, drink, and play everywhere during this time, which made her more cheerful.
"Did I disturb you?" Teacher Hu looked at the person in the picture and liked him very much.
"No, I don't have anything to do tonight." Luo Shu put her computer aside and spoke to her seriously.
"I heard my clothes are finished. Are you free tomorrow? I'd like to come over and try them on, and maybe have some tea with you guys. Xiao Ye said your tea is really good; no matter how I brew it at home, it never meets his standards. I'd like to learn how."
"The clothes are finished. There are one or two more sets to adjust tomorrow and they'll be done. I'll be at the studio for a while, so you can come see me anytime." She paused, "If you want to learn how to make tea, come over and I'll teach you."
"The main problem is that Xiao Ye is a very picky person. After drinking your tea, he will shake his head no matter who brewed it."
"..."
She learned how to brew tea from Zhou Zhiyi, a well-read woman who loved a simple, poetic life. Luo Shu seemed to gradually come to like it too.
I wonder how Zhou Zhiyi is doing now. She wasn't in a good mood when we parted today. I guess she was worried about Yu Zhan and Luo Shu.
She suddenly missed Zhou Zhiyi.
Zhou Zhiyi is always surrounded by positive energy.
I heard that Zhou Zhiyi was there for Luo Qiu during those years she was abroad.
She listened absentmindedly to Teacher Hu's words.
Ye noticed her fatigue, put down her work, and gently interrupted Teacher Hu's incessant talking.
"Shu'er has been busy all day. How about we talk again tomorrow?"
Ye Fou sat next to Teacher Hu, his gaze fixed on the people in the screen, and reminded Teacher Hu without looking to the side.
Teacher Hu immediately felt embarrassed. "Oh dear, it's already ten o'clock. Shu'er, you should get some rest. I'll come over to see you again tomorrow."
Luo Shu smiled and nodded in agreement.
When she saw Ye Fou, she tightened the front of her clothes a little.
Ye Fou then took the phone and looked at her intently for several seconds before saying, "Goodnight."
"good evening."
The video is down.
Holding her phone, she saw the call that Luo Qiu had just made but had been cut off, and she called back.
Luo Qiu was fine, but I was worried that she might have too much emotional fluctuation and do something she shouldn't.
Hearing that she was living in a villa and everything was fine, she felt relieved. She had originally planned to move in and stay with her for a few days.
Luo Shu refused; at this moment, she just wanted to be alone in peace and quiet and didn't want to be disturbed.
The more people mentioned her, the more melancholy she felt.
Luo Qiu didn't want to force the issue, so she offered a few words of comfort and then hung up the phone.
After making two phone calls, she lost all interest in drawing and, with her eyelids drooping badly, dragged her heavy body back to her room.
Upon returning to her room, she saw the two pillows on the bed, and her heart inexplicably clenched.
She walked over, tossed Yu Zhan's pillow onto the sofa, then lay down on the bed, turned off the light, and went to sleep.
I slept without any dreams.
She had already turned off the alarm and slept until she woke up naturally.
I felt refreshed when I woke up, and yesterday's fatigue seemed to have completely disappeared, except that my eyes were still very red, swollen and dry.
When I came downstairs dressed, a faint aroma was already wafting from the kitchen.
"Aunt Xu, what did you make today?"
It smells sweet.
"Chicken congee, I don't know if it suits your taste, I also made shrimp dumplings." Aunt Xu smiled with satisfaction, the lady of the house always liked to eat shrimp dumplings.
Luo Shu walked over and looked at the chicken porridge that was cooling on the table. She picked up a spoon and took a small sip.
"Mmm! It tastes good!"
She smiled. It had been a long time since she had eaten such sweet porridge. Today's porridge had a subtle sweetness.
She sat down eagerly, about to start eating, when she noticed the shrimp dumplings didn't look very appealing.
But she didn't say anything.
Aunt Xu noticed her gaze, smiled, and said, "I was a bit rushed today, so it's a little rough around the edges."
Luo Shu didn't mind; as long as there was food, it didn't matter whether it looked good or not.
She drank a bowl of porridge with satisfaction and ate a few shrimp dumplings.
Aunt Xu pursed her lips, nodded, and quietly took a picture, sending it to someone.
