Chapter 125 is about her wanting to leave her son behind.
Sang Qian came out of the kitchen carrying a fruit platter. Before she even got close to the living room, she saw that the three people sitting on the sofa were unusually quiet.
Especially Jin's mother and Jin Ningxi, their expressions were very strange.
Sang Qian was a little confused, but since it was none of her business, she pretended not to see it.
When Jin Ningxi saw her carrying fruit over, she quickly got up to take it, saying, "Let me take it, sister-in-law."
The word "sister-in-law" stung her lips.
Sang Qian handed the fruit plate to her, glanced at the tea in front of Madam Jin, and said, "Grandma, let me make you another cup of hot tea."
"No need," said Madam Jin gently. "Don't bother, come and sit down."
Sang Qian nodded and sat back down next to her. "Changyu just called me and said he'll be back soon to have lunch with you at home."
Mentioning Jin Changyu, Old Madam Jin's smile faded slightly. "Yes, he should come back for a visit."

When Jin Changyu rushed home, he saw his mother sitting silently to the side, while Jin Ningxi kept eating fruit, and his grandmother chatting peacefully with Sang Qian.
The scene was relatively harmonious.
When Jin Ningxi saw him, she immediately dropped her fruit fork and said, "Brother, you're finally back."
Jin Changyu walked over, glanced at Sang Qian first, and then looked at Old Madam Jin, "Grandma, why didn't you tell me you were coming?"
Madam Jin gave a light snort, "If I had said so earlier, would I have been even less likely to be allowed into your house?"
Jin Changyu remained noncommittal, but frowned slightly and said, "Qianqian is resting at home during her pregnancy. Your frequent visits will disturb her rest."
Seeing him protecting Sang Qian like a mother hen, Jin's mother stood up unhappily, "Changyu, why are you protecting her like this? Aren't you two..."
"Sit down."
Madam Jin interrupted her in a stern voice, signaling her to shut up with her eyes.
Jin's mother swallowed back the words she was about to say and reluctantly sat down.
Madam Jin then looked at Jin Changyu, "What, can't I even come here to have a meal with my granddaughter-in-law?"
Sang Qian didn't want Jin Changyu to have a falling out with his grandmother because of her, so she quickly spoke first when she saw him about to speak.
"Of course, Grandma. I even asked Aunt Li to make two light and refreshing dishes. You should like them."
Madam Jin patted her hand approvingly, "Qianqian is so filial and sensible."
"Grandma, let Changyu stay with you. I'll go to the kitchen to see if Aunt Li has finished cooking."
Sang Qian got up to leave, but before she reached the kitchen, she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw Jin Changyu walking towards her.
"Didn't I tell you to stay with Grandma? Why did you come here?"
Jin Changyu walked up to her and said, "If you don't want to eat with them, I'll send them away right now. You don't have to force yourself."
Sang Qian shook her head, "No, Grandma came in person. It's already very impolite to stop her at the door. How can we kick her out at mealtime?"
Even if she and Jin Changyu were no longer husband and wife, she should still treat Old Madam Jin well as a respected elder.
"But……"
Jin Changyu carefully observed her expression and whispered, "Didn't you say you didn't want to see my mother?"
Sang Qian said calmly, "As long as others don't provoke me, I have no intention of making trouble for anyone."
Aunt Li, who came out of the kitchen, saw the two of them and said, "Sir, Miss Sang, the food is ready. Would you like to eat now?"
Sang Qian nodded to her, "Let's eat."
After she finished speaking, she said to Jin Changyu, "Let's eat first."
As for how to settle his family after the meal, that's his business.
Jin Changyu: "Okay."
At the dinner table.
Seeing Jin Changyu sitting next to Sang Qian, occasionally putting food on her plate and taking good care of her, Jin's mother was a little confused about Jin Changyu.
Even though they're divorced, why did he keep it a secret from his family and keep Sang Qian by his side to take care of her?
Is it for the sake of the children?
Yes, it must be for the sake of the Jin family's offspring.
Five people were eating at the table, the atmosphere was quiet, but each had their own thoughts.
After lunch, Jin Changyu said that Sang Qian wanted to take a nap, and soon after, he took his people upstairs.
After escorting her into the bedroom, he whispered to Sang Qian, "You should rest well in your room. Don't worry about anything else, leave it to me."
Sang Qian nodded. "Mm."
After staying in Sang Qian's room for a while, Jin Changyu came out.
Just as he closed the door, Jin Ningxi appeared out of nowhere and whispered to him, "Brother, Grandma is waiting for you in your study."
Jin Changyu was just about to look for his grandmother when he heard this. Without thinking much, he simply hummed in agreement and turned to go to the study.
Jin Ningxi quickly followed behind him. The two siblings entered the study one after the other, and Jin Ningxi, who was behind, closed the door behind her.
Jin Changyu looked up and saw his mother standing in front of his desk, while the old lady of the Jin family sat in his office chair, looking at him with a gloomy expression.
His eyes held a hint of accusation.
"Explain what's going on."
Old Madam Jin tapped her fingers on the table. Jin Changyu followed her gaze, and when his eyes fell on the red divorce certificate, his expression froze, then he frowned in displeasure.
"You're invading my privacy?"
His divorce certificate was kept locked in a drawer. Even when his grandmother went into his study, she never rummaged through his things. If his mother was the first person to discover it, she probably would have made a scene in front of Qianqian long ago, so it couldn't have been her.
Finally, Jin Changyu slowly turned his questioning gaze to Jin Ningxi.
Jin Ningxi was startled by his gaze and quickly explained, "I... I was just curious about what your drawer password would be, so I guessed a few numbers. I didn't expect it to open, and then I saw the divorce certificate. I swear, I really didn't mean to pry into your privacy; I just found it by accident."
"Who gave you permission to enter my study at will?"
Jin Ningxi quickly pulled Sang Qian to shield her, saying, "It was my sister-in-law's permission."
Jin Changyu, who was about to reprimand someone, was speechless.
"Don't rush to blame your sister. Explain what happened first."
Madam Jin looked at him and said, "Is this how you say you can handle your marital relationship? Your solution is to get a divorce and then continue living together to hide the truth from the family?"
Jin Changyu took a deep breath. "This is a long story."
"Then let's start from the beginning," asked Madam Jin. "Why did you two get divorced?"
Jin Ningxi stepped forward, puzzled. "Yeah, brother, you don't like Zhou Yunshuang, so why did you divorce your wife?"
Jin's mother leaned closer, "Changyu, do you want to leave your son behind?"
Jin Changyu glanced at her speechlessly and said sullenly, "It was her who wanted to go to the father's place."
"What?" Jin's mother's voice rose several times in astonishment.
Jin Ningxi gasped, "So, it was your sister-in-law who proposed the divorce? But, but why? Why would your sister-in-law suddenly want a divorce from you?"
Jin Changyu looked at her resentfully, "You deserve a lot of credit for this."
"ah?"
Jin Ningxi stared at him in shock, then pointed at herself incredulously, "Me?"
"How could that be? I've never made things difficult for my sister-in-law, okay? How could your divorce have anything to do with me?"
