Chapter 52 I said it before, the child is yours.
After all the examinations were completed, Sang Qian had just been pulled to sit down in a chair by Jin Changyu when a runner came over with a thermos and handed it to Jin Changyu.
Jin Changyu thanked him and accepted the food, then said to Sang Qian, "Are you hungry? Eat something first."
Sang Qian noticed that he ordered food from a star-rated hotel near the hospital.
Jin Changyu took out a can of hot milk, unscrewed it, and handed it to her.
"Thanks."
Sang Qian took a sip and glanced at the two men on the chair next to her, who were also waiting for the results with their wives but kept their heads down playing on their phones. She couldn't help but look at the man next to her who was preparing food for her.
"I didn't expect President Jin to be so responsible."
As her ex-husband, he did a really good job. Since arriving at the hospital, she hadn't seen him answer a single phone call, and he was even more serious than her when it came to consultations and examinations.
Jin Changyu ignored her teasing, looked at her with gentle eyes and said earnestly, "I will accompany you to every prenatal checkup from now on."
Sang Qian's fingers, which were holding the milk, suddenly curled up.
"Jin Changyu..."
"Please don't reject me, okay?"
Meeting the man's deep, pleading gaze, Sang Qian's heart softened for some reason, and she couldn't bring herself to coldly refuse.
But she still made one point clear: "Let's make this clear first, even if you come every time, the child will still be mine."
"certainly."
Jin Changyu's eyes were filled with a deep smile. "I've said it before, the child belongs to you."
Sang Qian was pleased to hear this, raised an eyebrow in satisfaction, and took another sip of milk.
"Want some steamed egg custard? It'll be warm."
Jin Changyu fed her from the side.

After the test results came out, the doctor looked at the report and said everything was normal. Then he gave them some advice on things to pay attention to during early pregnancy.
Jin Changyu took careful notes from the side.
Sang Qian listened very attentively, nodding solemnly at every instruction the doctor gave. However, once she left the hospital, it seemed she hadn't remembered a single instruction.
"Oh dear, I should have recorded it."
She slapped her forehead in annoyance.
Jin Changyu reached out and affectionately rubbed the forehead she had slapped herself, and said softly, "It's okay, I've remembered it."
The warmth of the man's palm against her skin made Sang Qian's heart flutter. She hurriedly pushed his hand away and changed the subject:
"Hey, is Old Chen here?"
"Yes, it's just ahead."
Jin Changyu took her hand and walked towards the parking lot.
Glancing at the large hand that was tightly gripping hers, Sang Qian forcefully pulled away, "I can walk by myself."
Before the divorce, he was used to playing the role of a loving couple with her in public, so whenever the two went out together, he would always hold her hand.
Even now that they're divorced, he hasn't changed this habit.

After taking her home, Jin Changyu went to the company.
Perhaps because he was delayed in the morning, he didn't return to the company until Sang Qian went back to her room to sleep that night.
Sang Qian only saw him the next morning when she went downstairs for breakfast.
"See? I told you you didn't have to force yourself to come with me to the prenatal checkup."
Why bother?
Sang Qian said to him, "You'd better not go next time. I can't afford to let the Jin Group make a big mistake because of my prenatal checkup."
"no."
Jin Changyu remained resolute.
"Next time I will adjust the time in advance so it won't affect my work."
I've never seen such a stubborn person.
"what ever."
Sang Qian stopped trying to persuade her and started eating her breakfast, but suddenly heard someone across from her say something.
"Grandma is coming back today."
Upon hearing this, Sang Qian suddenly looked up at him.
"What did you say? Grandma's coming back?"
"Um."
Jin Changyu said, "I came back too late last night, and you were resting, so I didn't have time to tell you."
"But...wasn't she supposed to be back in two weeks? Why is she back early?"
Madam Jin underwent a high-risk heart surgery six months ago. Before the surgery, she went to Fo'an Temple to pray for a safe recovery. After the surgery was successful, she said she would go to Fo'an Temple to make offerings to Buddha for six months to fulfill her vow.
Based on the timeline, she should be back in about two weeks.
"The most important thing about worshipping Buddha is sincerity, not the length of time."
Upon hearing this, Sang Qian nodded in agreement, "That's true."
Jin Changyu gazed at her. "Grandma told us to come home for dinner tomorrow. Would you... like to come home with me?"
Sang Qian's expression suddenly froze.
The only person she felt guilty about regarding the divorce was Old Madam Jin.
It was the old lady who facilitated her marriage to Jin Changyu, and after she married into the Jin family, the old lady treated her very well.
Logically speaking, she should have visited her now that she's back.
But now...
She lowered her eyes and said softly, "I'm not her granddaughter-in-law anymore, so it's not appropriate for me to go back with you."
“But in Grandma’s eyes, you are still her granddaughter-in-law,” Jin Changyu said. “It would be really inappropriate for you not to go.”
Sang Qian frowned slightly, looking troubled, "But..."
“Grandma is still recovering, and the doctor said she can’t be stressed.” Jin Changyu glanced at her. “If she finds out about our divorce, her emotions will probably be affected.”
Upon hearing this, Sang Qian's eyes narrowed.
"Please, just consider it helping me out."
Jin Changyu said, "Just consider it as acting alongside me. I'll pay you like last time, okay?"
Sang Qian shook her head, "If it's your grandmother, I don't need any payment."
Jin Changyu's eyes lit up. "So you've agreed?"
Sang Qian pursed her lips, then nodded silently.
Jin Changyu raised an eyebrow almost imperceptibly. "Thank you."
Sang Qian asked, "Are you going back tomorrow at noon?"
"Yes."
Sang Qian assumed that they were just going back for lunch and then coming back.
The next day, she saw Jin Changyu go to his study to work after breakfast. When it was time to leave for the Jin family home, he came downstairs in casual clothes.
His slightly parted, tousled hairstyle, combined with his outfit, softened his imposing and stern demeanor, giving him an air of gentle refinement befitting a noble young gentleman.
Sang Qian stared blankly as he walked up to her.
Taking in her expression, Jin Changyu asked with a smile, "What are you daydreaming about?"
Sang Qian suddenly snapped out of her daze, glanced at his clothes again, and asked curiously, "Don't you have to go to the company this afternoon?"
Jin Changyu: "Today is the weekend."
Sang Qian looked at him, puzzled. "So?"
"I'm off today."
Sang Qian paused for a moment, her expression turning slightly indifferent. "Oh, so President Jin also has weekends off?"
This was clearly a sarcastic remark directed at him.
A look of guilt flashed in Jin Changyu's eyes as he looked down at her. "I was wrong before. I spent too much time on work."
There was no balance with family.
He glanced at her still flat stomach and whispered a promise, "From now on, I will try my best to spend my weekends with you."
"ah?"
Sang Qian thought she had misheard.
"Jin Changyu, you're hilarious. I didn't even get this treatment when I was your wife. Now that I'm your ex-wife, you're saying you'll spend the weekend with me?"
When she noticed his gaze was fixed on her stomach, she suddenly realized, "Oh, you're here to keep the baby company, right?"
"It's unnecessary. Whether you spend time with them or not, they won't notice. You shouldn't waste your precious time."
After she finished speaking, she turned around and walked straight out, saying, "Stop talking nonsense and let's go."
Jin Changyu watched her retreating figure and thought to himself: How could he not sense anything?
In a few months, he will also be doing prenatal education for the baby.
