Chapter 62 Lovers?
When Aunt Li brought a bowl of beef noodles into the bedroom, she saw Sang Qian standing in the room making a phone call.
“Okay, Uncle Kwong, let’s arrange a time to meet.”
Sang Qian turned around and saw Aunt Li placing food trays on the table. She then said to the person on the other end of the phone, "Okay, let's talk in detail when we meet."
After hanging up the phone, she walked to the table and saw a bowl of noodles on it topped with beef, a poached egg, and vegetables arranged in a smiley face.
And that smiling face looks familiar.
Sang Qian couldn't help but ask Aunt Li, "Aunt Li, did Jin Changyu learn to make noodles from you?"
Aunt Li, "Huh?"
"His noodles are presented exactly like yours."
Aunt Li paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "I was just about to tell you that this bowl of noodles was made for you by the master himself."
Sang Qian paused in her seat, looking up at Aunt Li in astonishment. "You mean... he made this?"
"Yes, when the gentleman heard that you wanted noodles, he immediately went into the kitchen to make them?"
When Aunt Li handed her the chopsticks, she added, "My husband was worried that you might still be feeling unwell, so he didn't dare to go out this afternoon and stayed at home the whole time."
"Oh, but he's about to head out in a bit. He said he's going to a cocktail party. He just told me to call him immediately if anything happens to you."
Sang Qian lowered her eyelashes, concealing the emotions in her eyes, and muttered, "Isn't he a little too nervous? The doctor said it was just a case of anger affecting his heart, and he'll be fine after some rest."
Aunt Li chuckled and said, "Isn't it because the master cares about you and is worried about you?"
Sang Qian disagreed with Aunt Li's words, "No, he's just worried about the baby in my belly."
Aunt Li: "..."
That's not wrong either.
But isn't the anxiety towards the baby simply a result of loving the house and its contents?
Sang Qian took a bite of the soft and flavorful noodles, and the texture was exactly the same as last time.
It was exactly the taste she suddenly wanted to eat.
Aunt Li smiled as she watched her eat with obvious delight, "Then I'll head out now."
As soon as she left the room, the man waiting outside immediately asked her, "Does she want to eat?"
Aunt Li nodded and whispered, "Miss Sang seems to really like your noodles. She ate them so happily, her eyes were all smiles."
Although Jin Changyu didn't see it, he could imagine the scene of her happily eating noodles.
Because that night, when she ate the noodles he made, her eyes crinkled with satisfaction.
Jin Changyu felt a quiet sense of satisfaction that Sang Qian hadn't refused the noodles he made and had even enjoyed them.
"I'm going out in a bit. If anything happens at home, please let me know."
He had already reminded them of this several times.
Recalling the panicked and nervous look on Jin Changyu's face when he carried the unconscious Sang Qian out that morning, Aunt Li felt that he was most likely frightened.
The gentleman had always been a calm and composed man, unfazed even by the collapse of Mount Tai; she had never seen him so panicked before.
Who said he only cares about the baby? He clearly cares more about Miss Sang.
"Don't worry, sir, I will take good care of Miss Sang."

At the cocktail party.
Jin Changyu sat in a corner with several company executives and Mayor Lin, drinking and discussing business.
Zhou Yunshuang, standing at a distance, kept her gaze fixed on him.
After being kicked out of the Jin family home by Old Madam Jin, she called Jin's mother afterwards, only to be severely scolded and told never to come looking for her again.
Old Madam Jin doesn't like her, and Jin's mother has to be mindful of Old Madam Jin's feelings. In other words, it's impossible for her to get close to Jin Changyu through the elders of the Jin family.
Just then, she saw Jin Changyu clink glasses with those people and have a drink, then get up and go to a secluded balcony by himself.
"What are you standing there for? While he's alone, why don't you hurry over there?"
A deep, resonant voice suddenly came from behind her. Zhou Yunshuang trembled and turned to look at Zhou Kangguang. "Dad, I..."
When she was at the Jin family home, she could sense that Jin Changyu was very displeased with her arrival. In addition, he had warned her before to stay away from him, so now that she was in front of her father, she was a little afraid to get close to Jin Changyu.
She was afraid that Jin Changyu would embarrass her in front of everyone.
She was even more afraid of letting her father know that she and Jin Changyu were not actually in a romantic relationship.
“I don’t care how you offended him, or how you made him call to demand a change of project manager, but you have to appease him tonight.”
Zhou Kangguang gave her a subtle push from behind, and Zhou Yunshuang took two steps forward. She glanced at Jin Changyu over there and had no choice but to bite the bullet and go over.
"Changyu".
After sending the message to Sang Qian, Jin Changyu was staring at their WeChat chat interface, eagerly awaiting a reply. Hearing the voice, he looked up and his expression turned cold upon seeing Zhou Yunshuang.
Zhou Yunshuang could only pretend not to see his cold face and said with a smile, "What a coincidence, I didn't expect you to be here tonight too."
“Ms. Zhou, I think I’ve reminded you more than once.” Jin Changyu put away his phone and said coldly, “We’re not close enough to call each other by our first names.”
Zhou Yunshuang's hand tightened slightly as she gripped the wine glass.
“Nephew, what are you saying?”
Zhou Kangguang walked over with a wine glass in hand and a smile. "I know Yunshuang made a mistake at work and upset you, but you two were... former lovers, so even if she made a mistake at work..."
"Lover?"
Jin Changyu frowned and interrupted him, then glanced coldly at Zhou Yunshuang, "President Zhou, is there some misunderstanding?"
Zhou Kangguang was stunned for a moment, "What?"
“I have never dated your daughter,” Jin Changyu said. “The marriage between the Jin family and the Zhou family two years ago was nothing more than a business deal in my eyes.”
Zhou Kangguang's eyes widened in astonishment as he glanced at Zhou Yunshuang, whose face had suddenly turned deathly pale, before looking at Jin Changyu in disbelief.
"How is that possible? Your relationship was common knowledge two years ago."
"That was a rumor spread by the media at Miss Zhou's behest." Jin Changyu looked at Zhou Kangguang, his eyes filled with confusion and inquiry. "Didn't President Zhou know about this?"
He didn't clarify the matter back then only because the marriage between the Jin and Zhou families was imminent.
After breaking off the engagement with the Zhou family, there was no need to pay any attention to these baseless media reports.
Zhou Kangguang's gaze sharpened, and he suddenly looked at Zhou Yunshuang. Zhou Yunshuang subconsciously took a step back under his gaze, her hand holding the wine glass trembling.
Jin Changyu's gaze shifted between the father and daughter.
"I really don't understand the way your Zhou family behaves. You were the ones who deliberately spread false reports back then, and you were the ones who broke off the engagement later. What are you trying to do now?"
"No, my dear nephew, when it comes to what happened back then, let me explain. We didn't actually want to break off the engagement..."
"Mr. Zhou, these things are all in the past now."
Jin Changyu interrupted his explanation, paused, and a smile appeared on his face. "Speaking of which, I have to thank your Zhou family for their decision back then. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had the chance to marry my current wife."
Zhou Kangguang: "..."
"My wife and I are very loving and happy."
Jin Changyu glanced at Zhou Yunshuang and said, "I also sincerely wish that Miss Zhou can find her soulmate soon."
After saying that, he glanced at his watch again. "It's getting late, I should go back to be with my wife. Excuse me, gentlemen."
After saying that, he ignored the two men and strode away.
Only the Zhou father and daughter remained on the balcony.
Zhou Kangguang suddenly slapped Zhou Yunshuang hard across the face, "You bitch, how dare you lie to me."
He angrily pointed at Zhou Yunshuang, who was covering her face and refusing to cry, and questioned her in a low voice, "Is this what you said, that he loves you madly and that he would abandon his wife to marry you as soon as you return to China?"
Zhou Yunshuang cried and dared not speak, only shaking her head repeatedly.
"Useless rubbish."
Zhou Kangguang was furious and wanted to slap her again, but then he remembered that it wasn't the right occasion, so he forcefully pressed his raised hand down and pointed at her, saying, "I'll deal with you when we get back."
